Storyline/possible spoilers

Can someone explain to me what the deal with the rings was? When you meet Elena she has a ring on and Drake makes reference to her "still having it" and at the end Sully gives Drake back a ring and he was suprised Sully still had it. I don't remember any of the ring references in UC1 or UC2, when did thoes parts of the storyline occur?

Ohh ok, That part of the story was not making any sense to me. They shoulda added something in part to leading up to it.

Yeah this is left to our imaginations, but from what Elena said when Drake & Sully got off the plane i assumed that at some stage they married and seperated between games.

For the part with Elena and the reference "still having it":
Probably Nate gave Elena that ring, I think it's the engagement ring (they were engaged). Later Elena and Nate get seperated/divorced or something, so Nate thinks Elena doesn't love him anymore. That's why Nate is in London and Elena is in Yemen, they aren't together anymore.
When Nate finds out Elena is still wearing the ring Nate realizes that the ring has a special meaning to Elena and this means Elena still has feelings for Nate. That's why Nate says "you're still wearing it."

For the part with Sully and the ring at the end:
This is the original ring from Sir Francis Drake (with his motto inscripted etc). This is another ring then the ring from Elena!
So in the part where Marlowe dies, where she disappears in the cement, the ring also disappears. Nate, and everyone else, thinks the ring from Sir Francis Drake is gone but apperently Sully somehow/somewhere changed the ring with a fake ring. This means Nate always had a fake ring with him and that the fake ring disappeared in the cement. So the real ring still exists and Sully gives it to Nate because he kept it for too long.

Woah Wait a min the Sir Francis Ring is gone forever along with Marlowe The ring that Sully gives Drake is the engagement ring, this is why drake says "i thought i lost it." This is also why when drake asks "your still wearing it?" she makes a remark like "so are you" because she mistakes the Francis ring for the engagement ring because she just got a glance at it, This is why drake trys to slyly play it off trying to make it sound like he still has the ring because hes embarrassed that he lost it.
