Here are some tips and exploits that you can use in co-op:
Shoot armoured guys in the legs Brutes and armoured guys go down much faster by shooting them in the legs. If you have a PAK-80 then you will save a lot of ammo by doing this. Carry the PAK-80 anywhere Pick up the PAK-80 and activate the Sniper kickback. After you've used the T-Bolt then you will still have the PAK-80. This is useful for getting the PAK-80 up to places where you normally can't bring it, not to mention how useful it is to have another PAK-80 when you play the Monastery adventure. Glitch through walls with the Riot Shield You can glitch through walls with the Riot Shield. This is very useful when you play the Fort or Airport adventures since you can either skip enemies completely, or you can trigger bosses to appear from a safe distance. The parts on the Fort adventure where you need to place idols in place can be skipped by glitching through the walls and grabbing all the idols without putting them in place. The enemies won't appear until the idols are placed. On Airport you can trigger the Mega Bomb guy by glitching through the wall (and then back) where the RPG is. Prevent RPG guys from spawning on Monastery When you reach the statue and put Drake inside the circle, there will be a first wave of enemies coming out near the church. The RPG guys don't appear until you kill the two weaks guys. You can use this to your advantage by keeping them alive while you take care of all the armoured guys and then go and grab the PAK-80 etc (otherwise you need to keep an eye on the dropped weapons so that they don't disappear). Timing out when checkpoint has been reached As some people may have noticed if you've played with douchebags before, you will eventually time out when you reach a checkpoint if everyone doesn't get in the circle. This can be used to your advantage on some Adventure maps since you'll be right where you were when you timed out when the scene is over (unless the checkpoint triggers an area change). I sometimes use this on Monastery to get right behind the final kickback bosses on Monastery so I don't have to worry about getting shot by RPGs as soon as the scene starts. Reaching the roof with the RPG guys on Airport I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not, but you can reach the roof where the RPG guys are on Airport by taking cover against the wall, aiming your camera forward and then pressing the jump button. You'll do a super jump and reach the ledge. This way you can just pull the RPG guys down. Dealing with chokers Chokers do generally not climb obstacles such as low walls. If you're under pressure and your teammates are away, you can just climb up on top of a low wall or similar and deal with the choker from there. All chokers can be melee killed by removing the helmet (if they have one) and hitting them with one bullet right before you use the melee button. Melee kill chokers in Shade Survival Melee works the same way against chokers in Shade Survival as it does in the other modes. Headshots in Shade Survival Don't waste time with shooting the enemies with an AK-47 or similar. Grab a MAG-5, T-Bolt or Dragon Sniper and aim for the heads. Heavily armoured guys die in two shots (one shot with Ao3) and weaker enemies die in one shot. Prevent enemies from warping in Shade Survival when you throw a grenade You can stun enemies slightly by shooting at them after you throw the grenade. If you're using Cluster Bombs against kickback bosses then you can either stun them with a Hammer round after you throw the Cluster Bomb, or wait for them to start their attack animation before you throw it. This is mostly useful against weak enemies such as Riot Shield guys, since you'll want to be using Army of Three and power weapons against armoured guys and kickback bosses. Very nice tips. Want to elaborate on that glitching through walls one though like how do you do it, etc? WTF I would have liked to skip entire areas!
Too bad no one who has the better kickbacks would use the first exploit, although it is quite useful. Now the only thing I have to say is... WHEN ARE WE ACTUALLY GONNA DO THEM? We played once and then never again, I need people like you who find curator to be "easy" to help me man... |

Use the melee attack with the Riot Shield while pressing forward. The exploit is pretty well-known at this point, but not a lot of people know how you can use it to your advantage. On the Fort you can skip the two worst areas since the gates opens as soon as all the idols are in place, so by having one person glitch through the walls then you can just open the gates and run towards the final checkpoint where the shades appear.
