Anybody know if there's a way to play crushing with tweaks enabled and still get the trophy like you could in Uncharted 2?

dont think you can in Uncharted 3. havent seen those bonuses anywhere in the menus.

on topic, finished crushing earlier today, wasnt hard at all besides chapter 21.. that got really annoying !! my tips would be to use cover a lot. i also found that, blindfire from cover saved my life so many times.

I'm playing through crushing mode right now, and I'm on chapter 22.

The hardest battle for me was the fight inside the cruise ship. At first I thought it would be a piece of cake because I took down the first set enemies down pretty easily. Then I was killed and the respawn point put behind some boxes at the front of the stage.

Unfortunately when you respawn the laser sights are already locked in on you and the shotgun guys are coming down the stairs. It made getting to the back of the stage damn near impossible. It was a pain to finish and it took me at least 10 deaths before I killed everyone.

I though the the boat graveyard battle would be the toughest battle but inside the ship was way harder, IMO.

How to beat Charlie Cutter? Without the on-screen prompts it is a bit unclear what to do.

I'm adding this post assuming you've read the other informative posts on this thread.

First off, Crushing on UC3 is definitely easier than 2, and a LOT easier than 1. Patience is key for most of the battles. Don't be a hero, be a coward.

If you are patient on 12, the battle is a piece of cake, but will take a while. If you are dying a lot, the boats on the perimeter don't have any boats behind them and you can't get flanked, if you hang off the back and get in the water when needed. It'll take you 10 to 20 minutes, but it works. I did this on my second try.

As for the ch 14 theater battle, this was the hardest part of the game for me. It's frustrating, and people have a right to be pissed at this part. It's because unlike the other battles, no strategy is a "sure thing" because you will get flanked. I died about 20 times because you can easily be flanked. Not much else can be said except stay near the entrance like the other posts said until you are clear to pick off the snipers. Take out the non armored guys first as they will flank you quickly if you don't, then take out the armored guys with machine gun bursts above their chest.

For the cargo ship battle in 16, stay in the car behind the garage. It'll take a while for everyone to come to you... but again patience is key. No shame in being a coward at this part... because it'll get you out alive. No one can flank you or get behind you so the only thing you really have to worry about are the armor guys. Take them out with the SAS or the KAL.

As for 21, this will be the hardest part in the game if you don't go in prepared. Bring a hammer and tau like the other posts said and you'll eventually make it through.

So really... it's not that bad. If you beat UC3, UC2, and especially UC1 on Normal, you can do this game on Crushing.

EDIT: The melee parts were hard for me, until I learned to just spam triangle until you dodge, then spam square. If you are grabbed, spam circle until he lets go, then spam triangle until you dodge then square. Rince, repeat. Yes, you are being a little cheap, but I think you'll still be able to sleep at night knowing that.

1st part run right up the stairs & take the RPG. run left and go stand behind the pillar on the wide stairs. I found this the best hiding spot. after killing 3 guys you will respawn in front of those stairs (my 1st kill) when I respawned I took the stairs right which has a Hammer. Easy kill for the next 3 enemies.
Second part has a hammer to. icw the Tau you should kill them easily.
part with the 2 fountains was the hardest but go right straight away. use the leftover hammer grenades if possible and take the sniper. you can hide perfectly behind the fountain because it's easy to switch corners. Don't use R3 for precise aiming.

Hope this helps
This is the best strategy I have read and it got me through ch 21 with only 5 deaths. This part is key, on the second part of the three parts, grab the hammer straight away, then die. You'll keep the 6 rounds you have, respawn, but the hammer will also respawn and you'll now have 12 rounds for it. Beat the second part using the Tau and you're all set for the third, and hardest part, with 12 hammer rounds. Save your game on a separate save file right before the third part with 12 hammer rounds just in case. Go crazy with the hammer and you're golden.

I know this probably has been said already, but corner shooting essentially
gave me Crushing Mode on a silver platter. I know the roadmap touches up
on it briefly, but I wanted to go into some detail just in case a few players
are having difficulties.

Find a wall (walls work best), or an obstacle that can shield you while you
are standing. You do not want to be crouched or "glued" to the wall for this
maneuver as it will give away your position and you'll be eating bullets.

Without clinging to the side, aim and very slowly use the camera to reveal
the enemy. If done correctly, many enemies are unable to shoot you and
some can't even see you. This gives you ample time to aim at their head
and deliver a fatal shot to the skull. Just don't use grenades or explosive
weaponry and you can make every single bullet in an AK a killing shot.

There are even instances where your bullets can literally pass through
walls by using this technique (it's happened to me tons of times), so I
highly suggest using this whenever you can to relieve some pressure
from Crushing Mode. Just make sure your aiming retical is on the target.
Also, if you squint you may notice a dot in the center (depending on
the weapon). If you press the button instead of holding it down with
automatics, the bullet will almost always land on this center point.

Keep in mind that armored guys will take multiple shots to bring down,
even using this technique. But I've made easy work of them (including
the cruiseliner brute) by tricking the camera.

Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps you guys.

Having to give up on chapter 14 I think... just relentless fire.. always flanked by at least 2 men. Damn, wouldn't be so bad if those robotic guys weren't around.

Scratch that, completed barely.
