Maybe I am overthinking this, but can this be explained a bit more.

From my Hard playthrough I remember I could only kill the first guy with stealth...? I'd appreciate some more detail on this.

Chapter 14 is the only one I M worried about. Sure, I expect to die a lot in the others, but I'm it worried...

once past the first sandstorm battle in chapter twenty, head to the left where the first TAU sniper is, kill him, get up, kill the hammer guy with the hammer with the TAU, RPG the first truck, roll down, use cover and head to the right to the other sniper post, stealth kill him, jump up, RPG the other truck, camp. and then slowly progress up the map until you have a breeze through to the door.

just did that right then, found it a lot easier than i thought.

along with the ship graveyard battle. did anyone notice that when you go past a few of the first floating platforms, straight up the map, u can use the water to swim to a hole in the wall on the right, and it takes you round to behind the rapid fire gun, kill the guy manning it and then use it for a quick finish to the level.

so much dread for easily solved problems on crushing haha

Stealth the first guy, then the guy in front then run back and pick everyone off until the snipers, then run toward the back and finish everyone else off. Just keep hiding and firing from the hip from cover if they get close.

Thanks. Just finished that part...

The first half needed a few tries. I was happy I had brought the Hammer only to loose it at the checkpoint, but at leat I was holding an Arm and a Sawed-Off at the time. Trying to stay behind the boxes where the checkpoint placed didn't work out (if you take out the balon guys you get rushed and taking out the guys that rush you will get you killed by th balcony guys), so I rn back and used the grenades and shotty to defend myself there.

I am not done by far, but I think I got the worst (like chapter 4 in the first game). Only final hurdle will be be djinns near the end.

Awesome list! I was worrying about the battle with the pak-80 guy that's heavily armored. It was the main reason why I haven't even attempted to start the crushing difficulty yet. Thanks for the list OP good looks on this

I would like to add some of my own ideas I figured out while playing on crushing:

Chapter 21: If you're having trouble with the fire demons, use the Tau Sniper or a shotgun like the SAS to kill them. I shot all of my bullets in one of the demons with a M9 and it still survived (no, I didn't miss). It was ridiculous, didn't have any effect and reloading takes a lot of time. So the SAS or the Tau Sniper really are the way to go.

You can also pick up a Hammer during your first fight and save it for your second fight. After the second fight I found some more Hammer ammo, just look for it and you'll find it. Save it for the third fight! It really makes a difference. Restart last checkpoint if you miss some enemies. Make sure you hit them, preferably when they are throwing grenades at you, as they will explode as well when you kill them.

I know its not a great help, but my best advice for crushing is play your first run on hard, I did not notice a big difference other than the shots you can take to your character which is noticably LESS! I think its funny that I had no trouble on crushing except for one spot with that big MotherFer on the ship with the containers where you have to shoot the guy above you to get his Hammer, god I must have died 40 times...

I've finished Crushing but still need a few left-over trophies for platinum... and I have a completely different virus now that will keep me from playing this game for the next few days: it's called AC: Revelations and Skyrim.

Christmas is going to be busy with cleaning up trophies, I can tell.

well thats uncharted 3 platinumed - a bit sad now, enjoyed playing it through twice, some very challenging parts indeed, and if i didnt get lucky on chapter 21 near the end, i might still be there lol its so frustrating.

not sure if i will be bothering with the dlc if its all MP so i guess thats all until the PSV game comes out.
