The more and more I talk to my few good friends about this game, the more and more I begin to dislike this game. When I first got this game on Opening Day, I fell in LOVE with it. I loved the route it was going, and I completed it the next day because of school. I platinum'd it a few days later and played it for a good 2 months after that. When the last map-pack came out which featured the Graveyard map and all of those, my few friends and I talked everything Uncharted for a good 5 hours [doing this while doing the fun water dives on the Graveyard map for 5 hours in a private match. It was so fun] and when we got to Uncharted 3's story, and overall game, we felt that it was a huge letdown than what we originally thought.
All of us [It was 6 of us] originally thought Uncharted 3 was our favorite one in the series. When we began to talk about everything overall, I told them my theory about the series: ND didn't know what they were doing or where they were going for this new series so they hoped it would be good...It was so they made a sequel. When they were making U2, they hoped they could make it better than U1...They did and look how that game turned out. While making U3, they KNEW they could make a good game so they tried everything to top it. Right here is where my theory came to an unfortunate truth. My continuation of the theory was that, since they knew the series is big now, they would try everything to make it better. Bigger story, character, set pieces. I had the feeling that with this, it would either make or break the game because they wanted to beat U2 in all standards. My overall gut feeling was that it would ruin it, and I felt, along with my friends, this theory was correct. We all felt that U3 tried putting too much into it, in such a short time, and tried making it into more of a cinematic movie than a cinematic adventure. Of course the game had its amazing bits, but it still felt too rushed. The heroes always had the advantage, and never the disadvantage they had in the last 2 games. This game things were always in their favor. Don't get me wrong, I, along with my friends still love this game, but it felt like they tried doing too much, in such a small amount of time, and they came out a little short in trying to top U2 and in a small way they failed. I would rate the games: U2 U3 U1

One thing that bothers me in movies that have sequels is when they get different actors for the same role. In video games however you only have that worry if they change voice actors (like in Infamous 2, which also annoyed me) but if the VA remains the same it should be fine. And yet even with the same VA Elena in this part always made me feel like I feel when I'm watching a movie where they changed actors. There was absolutely no need to do that. |

I finished Uncharted 3 a couple of weeks ago, I haven't been able to speak about it yet as I have just got back from a Holiday in Italy.
I really enjoyed the game, everything I love about Uncharted was in there. The action, the set pieces, the terrific voice acting, the fun gameplay and the beautiful graphics. I enjoyed the story, not as much as I enjoyed the second games story but I still thought it was really good. I can't stop playing the Multiplayer at the moment, I'm slowly finishing the trophies up by playing on Crushing and getting the treasures, but as I said I can't stop playing the Multiplayer. Overall, an excellent game, my favourite game from 2011 just ahead of Gears of War 3. Naughty Dog are now one of my favourite developers and I'm looking forward to seeing more from 'The Last of Us' at E3. |

I agree with the fact that the game was rushed. The truth was that it could have been so much better. I think ND rushed this game due to making the Last of Us just six months apart. In the first game, you crash with a plane. In the second, Chloe screws you over, as does Flynn in the beginning. There wasn't a part where you got screwed in this game. With Elena, you manage you magically appear to the entrance in Yemen. You have the upper hand all game and Drake did everything too easily. Plus, the ending was rushed. I had to watch the cutscene where they talked about the Djinn multiple times because Drake and Sully only talked about what the truth was one time. In the last game, Tenzin helps you a bit. In this game, your friend in the desert (forgot his name) helps you a bit too much. Plus, what ever happened to Chloe and Cutter? Still, a good game, I would rank the second game as my favorite. |

A little late to the party but I finally played the game. The end was a little underwhelming. So they tried to find that super secret city for I don't know how many years to get some water that makes people crazy? Seems like something you can achieve with LSD. And how do they stop the bad guys? With a mini rocketlauncher that happens to lie around which makes the whole city collapse.
I really enjoyed the game but the last level just seemed rushed. I was holding on to the grenade launcher the whole time expecting some mad boss fight and I was totally waiting for Marlowe to jump out of the quicksand as a huge sandmonster. I don't dislike the more "realistic" concept of the story, I just wish it would have been a little more epic in the end. |

Eh, I'm nitpicking. But only because I love the franchise and don't want to see the quality of the stories decline further. |
