Hey- patch still coming but read this please! Just got this from super star QA lead Bill in the SDQA department. Pretty crucial:


BILL SEZ: We noticed there's a lot of people on message boards who are deleting their game data if they lock or run into any problems because someone had suggested it on the forum. It's a really bad idea though because it resets your stats and in this case, resets your trophy progress. So just in case you get any questions as to why a trophy isn't unlocking, I figure you can give them a heads up to not take that advice.

Locally stored online stats, huh? Explains a lot. Wish it had been more clearly labeled like Red Dead Redemption though.

Some people are interested in whats said, not everyone shares the hatred for this game like you do. So, if you dont have anything constructive to say, why even say it? I really hope you trade the game in, if you havent already, and put the Twisted Metal forums behind you because youre finally starting to wear on me.

Anyway, just thinking if Bill actually does mean online trophies/stats? He doesnt specifically say online, thats why im wondering. Im thinking about SP trophies people have had issues with like TMA in particular.

Game data or save data (files)? Is backing up and restoring save files affected by this?

GAME DATA - contains a game's installed data from disk, DLC and Game Patches

SAVE DATA - contains game and trophy progression

People CAN still delete the GAME DATA and play offline in order to get the trophy for all Golds on Twisted easier

someone should ask what exactly it need to do to make it pop..

In my opinion, maybe just making it so the trophies pop based on the statistics that WE actually see instead of whatever it's based on now would work.

They could probably put out a patch to fix that, easily.
