Game data install stops at 17%

This is the third time Ive had to reboot my PS3 during the mandatory game install (even though it says Do not switch off the system) I had to because the damn install keeps hanging at 17%. Is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: After making sure disc was clean, deleting partial game data install, taking ps3 offline, and after deleting the 51MB patch it still stops at 17%. So I waited, nearly 6 minutes (timed 5:54) and it went to 18%. Hallelujah!
It seems I suffer from lack of patience and this thread is pointless. This can be closed, sorry.

It hung around %17 for me as well for 8 min or so. I took as piss and came back it jumped to %18.

This happened to me too. It got stuck at 17% but few mins later it started to move again.

Just happened to me also I thought my game was broken or ps3 froze in the middle of the install process but wait a few minutes and it will be just fine
That's what I get for not having patience lol

Yup, I had the exact same problem. I just left it for a while, it eventually went to 18% then 19%, and now is slowly chugging along.

That's a long piss, haha. I was worried when mine stopped at 17%, so I decided to give up. Thanks for the help. I had waited about 4 minutes and that's when I gave up, so I guess I have to be just a little more patient.

Yeah, I had this exact same problem myself. Even after waiting for it to finally move, it still crept along at a ridiculously slow pace.

I have no idea what to do you all say it too 4 to 6 minutes and it was 17%. Well my ps3 is stopped on 90% for about 15 minutes and this about the fourth time I had to quit the installment and retry. So is there something wrong with my ps3 or does it happen often?????
