TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 12: THE MASTERS

SPONSOR CHALLENGE GUIDE

This is to help you reach Level 4 with all the sponsors in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12. There are 6 sponsors that you are going to have to play with during your Road to the Masters career. Four of these sponsors require you to participate in a Major Event with Level 4 Sponsorship to recieve a trophy. There are four Major Tournaments during your career. You are unable to participate in these tournaments however unless you are ranked in the top 100 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings or have passed each Master Moment. I would suggest after reaching level 4 however to move on to your next sponsor unless you are about to compete in a Major within 2 weeks. Also once you start using a sponsor try not to change to a different one until after you reach level 4. All of the Objectives are stackable so if you change sponsors you lose all the objectives you unlocked towards your next level. (Example: So if you are at level 2 and have a birdie towards level 3 if you switch sponsors you will restart at level 2 but have to get the birdie again.) Also all of the objectives must be done while playing in Tournaments in Road to the Masters, they can not be done in any other game mode.

I would recommend doing the sponsors in the following order:

• EA SPORTS
• Cleveland Golf
• TaylorMade
• PING
• Callaway Golf
• Nike

EA SPORTS

EA will be the first sponsor you start off with. All of the Objectives to reach level 4 will be completed by just playing in tournaments before you reach the PGA TOUR.

Estimated time to reach Level 4: 4 1/2 - 10 1/2 Tournaments
Level 1:
Compete in your first golf event-
You will get this after you finish the 9-hole local tournament

Level 2:
Become an AMATEUR TOUR player
You will become an AMATEUR TOUR player after you finish the local event in your hometown

Play in an AMATEUR TOUR event
Just compete in the first event while in the AM TOUR it doesn't matter what you finish.

Level 3:
earn an invitation to Q-School
After you acomplish your requirements during the NATIONWIDE Tour you unlock Q-School.

Cleveland Golf

Cleveland Golf is going to be your first sponsor when you reach the PGA TOUR for use. They become available after you finish Q-School. As soon as you reach the PGA TOUR you are going to want to go into the sponsor menu. Move onto Cleveland Golf and press to set them as your primary sponsor. This is one of the sponsors you will need to play in a Major with to unlock a trophy. Just finish the tournament and you will recieve Sponsorship is Calling

Estimated Time to reach Level 4: 4-5 Tournaments

Level 1:
Place Top 25 in a PGA TOUR event
This should come naturally. If you are having trouble placing inside the top 25 you can set the difficulty to Amateur.

Finish Par or better in any PGA TOUR event
You just have to finish with a score of Even or better.

Compete in 3 PGA TOUR events
Just have to compete in 3 PGA TOUR events, it doesn't matter what place you finish in.

Sink a putt longer than 10 feet using a Cleveland Golf Putter
You will have to go into the Pro Shop to equip the Cleveland Golf Putter to use. You can also go into the Sponsor menu and press on Cleveland Golf to bring up all there equipment for you to use. You will want to equip the Cleveland Classics Blade Putter.

Level 2:
Place Top 10 in a PGA Tour Event
Finish inside the Top 10, if your having trouble try playing on Amateur.

Play a round without scoring a bogey or worse on any hole
This shouldn't be too difficult. If you are having trouble with this if you miss your par save and exit the course and then resume the tournament.

Finish 2 consecutive rounds under Par
You have to have a score of -1 or better two rounds in a row. If you are only playing 1 round tournaments you will have to do this for two tournaments in a row.

Make it into the Top 100 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You will be ranked in the Top 100 if you win your first 3 tournaments.

Level 3:
Place top 10 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events
Pretty self explanitory.

Score an Eagle or better on any hole
You have to either sink the third shot in on a Par 5 or your second shot in on a par 4.

Place top 3 in a PGA TOUR Major Event
If you win your first 3 events you will be eligable to compete in The Masters. Then just finish in the top 3. If you are not eligable for The Masters there are 3 other Majors in your first year. They are The Uk Open, The US Open and The EA SPORTS Championship.

Win any PGA TOUR event while using Cleveland Golf Irons
To get this you will have to equip the Cleveland Golf Irons in the Pro Shop. Again you can just go into the Sponsor Menu and press while on Cleveland Golf. You will not be able to use there Irons however until you reach level 3 sponsorship. You will want to equip the CG Tour Irons as soon as they are available.

Make it into the Top 75 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should be ranked inside the Top 75 after 5 tournaments if you win them all.

TAYLORMADE

You will be able to equip them as a sponsor after you finish the first tournament on the PGA TOUR. After that you can equip them to use at any time by going into the Sponsor Menu. TaylorMade will take you a little longer to reach level 4 than the previous two sponsors but won't be too difficult for you.

Estimated Time to reach Level 4: 4 to 10+ Tournaments

Level 1:
Play a round hitting every Fairway in Regulation (FIR)
This should not be too difficult, just follow your caddies suggested shots.

Sink a shot from anywhere except the green
Just get your aproach shot close to the green and try and chip it in. This will come with time. Holing out from the bunker also counts.

Place Top 10 in 3 PGA TOUR events
Simple enough, has to be done while TaylorMade is your sponsor.

Hit a drive longer than 275 yards using a TaylorMade Driver and Ball
You will have to go into the Pro Shop, or go into the Sponsor Menu and click on TaylorMade. You will have to equip the Burner SuperFast (Driver) and TP Burner (golf ball). If you are having trouble hitting it 275 plus yards put all your XP into your golfers Swing Speed and Power Boost.

Level 2:
Win a PGA TOUR event while using TaylorMade Irons
You will want to go into the Pro Shop and equip the Burner Irons.

Shoot 4 consecutive birdies or better in a round
By now this shouldn't be a problem for you.

Win any PGA TOUR event where every round was below par
Just finish a tournament with a score of -1 or better. If you are playing with rounds set to 2 or more you will have to shoot -1 or better for all of them.

Place top 10 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events
Again another easy objective to reach.

Play a round hitting every green in regulation (GIR)
You may want to try and get this and the FIR in regulation at the same time. Follow your caddies suggested shots.

Level 3:
Win a PGA TOUR major event using a TaylorMade Driver
You should still have a TaylorMade Driver equiped from getting there level 1 objective. If not go back into the Pro Shop and equip one. There are 4 majors each year to compete in. Just win either The Masters, The UK Open, The US Open or The EA SPORTS Championship.

Make it into the top 50 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should be ranked in the Top 50 after about 10 tournaments. Most likely you will already be in the Top 50 unless you choose to use TaylorMade right away.

Hit a drive of 300 yards or longer
If you are having trouble with this try putting all your XP into your drive power and swing speed.

Win any PGA TOUR event where every round was below par
Most of you will have rounds set to 1 so just shoot a score of -1 or better.

Sink a shot from more than 30 yards from the flagstick
This one can be a little difficult but will come with time. Look to see where your caddie is lining up your approach shots and try and follow his suggestions. Don't forget to use spin to help out also.

PING

You unlock PING as a sponsor after finishing in the Top 10 during any two PGA TOUR events. Now the objectives will start getting a little harder but at the same time your golfer has been improving his/her skills also. You will want to play in a Major with PING after you reach level 4 to get the Ping Pitchman trophy.

Estimated time to reach Level 4: 10 to 15+ Tournaments

Level 1:
Finish any round of a PGA TOUR Event with a score of -2 or better
self explanitory. If playing multiple rounds your total score must be -2 or better, you can have a round where you shoot in the + and still get this.

Sink a shot with a PING Iron
This can be the tricky one for some people. You may get lucky and nail a hole in one off the tea to get this. It doesn't matter where on the course you are. To make this easier aim your aproach shot to the outside of the green so it lands in the rough. You only want to be around 5 ft. from the fringe, just far enough out your not putting. Now press to disable your caddie. After that press untill you are able to use Irons as your club choice. They should be available with a chip shot. Now line your chip shot up with the pin. Just keep trying this method with each hole and you should have it by the end of a Tournament.

Play a Bogey free round
If you are having trouble with this you can always use the Save & Exit trick if you miss par for a hole.

Win a PGA TOUR event by 1 stroke or more
If you have the AI scoring set to Normal (default setting), you should be able to win by 1 stroke.

Level 2:
Win a PGA TOUR event
Just win any Tournament on the PGA TOUR

Hit a Par 4 green in one stroke
There are a couple courses you will be able to get this on. The only one the comes to mind at this time is TPC San Antonio.

Win 5 sponsored events on the PGA TOUR
After you choose to play in a tournament you will be able to participate in a sponsor event or play a training event. Just play the sponsor event and win it. If you complete all the sponsor events before you can go for this you will have to play the Par 3 Challenge before the Masters each year to get this.

Play in any Major using a PING Fairway Wood
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the G15 Fairway Woods and win a Major. Be sure to have a putter equiped also from PING so you can get both this and the Level 3 objective.

Win a training event on the PGA TOUR
Before each tournament there will be a trianing event and sponsor event you can play in. Just choose the training event and win.

Level 3:
Win any Major using a PING Putter
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the iN Series Anser putter. Then just win any Major.

Place top 5 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events
Just finish top 5 for 3 consecutive tournaments. I'm not 100% positive but i believe you skip tournaments as long as you finish top 5 in the ones you do compete in you will still get this.

Win 2 major events
You will have to win 2 major events, this doesn't have to be in the same year. There are 4 majors to play in. They are The Masters, The UK Open, The US Open and The EA SPORTS Championship.

Hit a shot out of a bunker that lands within 2 feet of the hole
Not as hard as it sounds. Most shots out of the bunker your caddie will have a good shot for you that puts you near the hole. Adjust the swing % if you need to or add spin. When ever there is a bunker on either side of the green try and hit it in there for this. I'm not sure but i think TPC Arizona has a green where there is a bunker in the middle of it.

Earn 800 or more FedExCup Points in a season
Winning an event on the TOUR earns you 500 points so you should be able to get this in a season.

Callaway
Callaway is a fairly easy sponsor to reach level 4 with. Depending on when you equip them to use you may have to go a full season as one of the objectives is to win the FedExCup. To unlock Callaway you will have to finish and PGA TOUR event in the top 20 and also play in 5 TOUR events where you shoot a score of +5 or better. Callaway is another sponsor where after you do reach level 4 you will want to compete in a Major to unlock the Ad Wizard trophy.

Estimated time to reach Level 4: 1 full season+

Level 1:
Hit a drive of 300 yards or longer using a Callaway Golf Driver
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Diablo Edge Driver. Hitting it 300 yards shouldn't be hard. Just be sure to use as much Power boost in your swing. To do that rapidly tap as you are pulling back on your Swing.

1-Putt on three holes in a row during a PGA TOUR event
Try and get the ball as close to the hole as possible. This should come by itself.

Make it into the Top 35 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
If you are not inside the Top 35 it will take you around half the season to get there.

Finish any PGA TOUR event with a score of -2 or better
This should be easy enough to do.

Place top 5 in a PGA TOUR event using a Callaway Golf ball
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Callaway HX Bite golf ball. Then just finish in the Top 5 in any tournament.

Level 2:
Hit the green on the second shot of any par 5 with a Callaway golf
Go to the Pro Shop and equip the Callaway HX Bite golf ball. Almost every Par 5 in the game is reachable in 2 shots. If you are having trouble move your golfers XP points into Power Boost and Swing Speed.

Finish any round of a PGA TOUR event with a score of -5 or better
This shouldn't be a problem. If you are having trouble be sure to improve your golfers XP in the area you are having trouble with.

Finish 3 consecutive rounds under par
If you are playing 1 round tournaments you will have to do this for 3 straight tournaments.

Win a PGA TOUR event using a Calloway Golf Driver

Make it into the Top 15 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should already be ranked #1 by this time. If not it will take you about 3/4 of the year to get into the Top 15.

Level 3:
Finish top 5 at any Major using Callaway golf irons
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Diablo Edge Irons. You will not be able to use them till you reach Level 2 however.

Draw or fade a shot with a callaway golf iron to within 9 feet from 150 yards
You might get this without even knowing it. Most of your caddies suggestions have a fade or draw on them. If this is the only objective you have left switch to a custom shot by pressing . After that set up your custom shot and press right or left on the . In the bottom right hand corner of your screen it should say either draw if you moved to the left or fade if you moved to the right. Land within 9 feet of the hole and you will have this.

Win 2 Major events
Just win any 2 Major events, this doesn't have to be in the same year. There are 4 Majors for you to compete in each year.

Make it into the Top 5 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should be ranked in the Top 5 by this point in your career. If not it will take you almost a full year to get to 5th.

Win the FedExCup
To win the FedExCup you have to play in The TOUR Championship and be ranked #1 in the FedExCup Standings at the end of the Tournament.

NIKE

You should wait and use Nike as the last sponsor during your career. Most of the objectives are fairly simple, the only time consuming one might be the hole in one. Be sure to equip all the clubs from Nike as soon as possible. To use Nike as a sponsor you will have to finish Top 10 or better in 4 PGA TOUR Events consecutively and play in a Major Event. Once you reach Level 4 you will then want to play in a Major to unlock the Commercial Icon trophy.

Estimated time to reach Level 4: 15 - 25+ Tournaments

Level 1:
Hit a drive of 320 yards or longer using a Nike driver
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the SQ Machspeed STR-8 FIT Driver. If you are having trouble hitting the ball 320 feet putt all your XP into your Swing Speed and Power Boost. You can also equip a Champion Suit to give you an added 5% boost. If you are still unable to drive it that far you will have to wait until you come across a tournament where the wind is blowing in your favor.

Level 1:
Win a PGA TOUR event using a Nike ball
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Crush ball to use.

Make it into the Top 20 of the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should be inside the Top 20 already, if not it will take you around 12 Tournaments (winning all of them) to get there.

Finish a round at any Major with a score of -3 or better
There are 4 Majors, this should come naturally.

Make a putt from the fringe using a Nike ball
You will have to go into the Pro Shop and equip the Crush ball to use in Tournaments. After you land on the green just putt your ball into the fringe. From there line up your shot and sink it in the hole. This should be fairly easy, be sure to use your putt preview.

Level 2:
Earn 900 FedExCup points in one season
Winning a Tournament earns you 500 points in the FedExCup Standings. Just win 2 tournaments and you will have this.

Finish top 5 in a PGA TOUR event using Nike wedges
You have to be level 2 before you can equip a Nike wedge. As soon as you reach level 2 go into the Pro Shop and equip the Victory Red Forged Wedge.

Finish any PGA TOUR round with a score of -5 or better
This shouldn't be difficult at all by this time in your career.

Play in any Major using all Nike clubs
You will have to have a Nike Driver, Fairway Wood, Iron, Wedge and Putter equiped. You will not be able to equip all the clubs until you reach level 2. Be sure after any Major to check and see if this was unlocked so you know if you have all the Clubs equiped.

Sink a putt of more than 25 feet with a Nike putter
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Method-001 Classic Blade. You can not equip a putter until you reach level 2.

Level 3:
Sink a hole in one
This will take some time. If you come across a hole you believe you are able to sink a hole in one on you can save & exit after you tee off if you miss your shot. After that return to the tournament and resume and shoot the hole again. For the most part your caddie will suggest shots that are close to the pin you will have to adjust just slightly with spin on your ball.

Play 10 PGA TOUR events using all Nike clubs
You will have to have a Nike Driver, Fairway Wood, Iron, Wedge and Putter equiped. You will not be able to equip all the clubs until you reach level 2.

Win the Masters using a Nike ball
Go into the Pro Shop and equip the Crush (golf ball). Then just win the Masters.

Win the Masters Tournament using all Nike clubs
Make sure you have all Nike clubs equiped. You need to have a Driver, Fairway Wood, Iron, Wedge and Putter. You can not equip all the clubs until you reach level 2.

Become #1 in the EA SPORTS Golf Rankings
You should already be ranked #1 by the time you start your sponsorship with nike. If not it will take you about a year of winning every tournament to get there.

Do you have Ping Irons equiped?
Are you using an iron most shots are wedge and pitch.

Ironically, i also had 2 'sink a shot 30 yards from flagstick' for taylormade level 4, n i thort id try n unlock that one. i got an eagle on a par 4 n the message popped up sayin ive completed level 4 taylormade. but when it comes 2 ping, nothing seems 2 work, ive checked that im using a ping iron, tried pitching, chiping n jus simply trying 4 a hole in one (no good at hole in ones tho) or gettin an eagle on a par 4, nothin seems 2 work. ping is also the only sponsor i need 2 finish.

Ive even jus got a hole in one on first hole of the par 3 augusta course, n its still not unlocked, n i used a ping iron

Dont matter now, ive finally unlocked it, somehow i managed 2 get a double eage, first time ever got one on any tiger woods game, n it unlocked. anyways, thanks 4 ur help

probably because the chip shot you use from the rough, doesn't count as a full shot.

I'm struggling on the Taylormade Objective:

Hit every FIR. I did it on my last tournament but it didn't unlock, anyone else having the same issue?

Do you also have to get all the GIR's?

You do not need to get the GIR. Just the FIR. I didn't have any issues with this popping. When hitting off the tee are you using a Taylormade driver? If for some reason you switched to a different club that could effect it too?
