I accidentally deleted file that I still need and have to recover it somehow. I found a file recovery program called PC Inspector but when I installed it I found out it only recovers file types like JPG's, AMV's, PDF's etc. but not Word files (which is the file type I accidentally deleted).
So I'm in need of a way/program to recover the word file I accidentally deleted. And since the internet is full of offers from dubious sites I'd like to request help here because I wouldn't want to accidentally download some viruses or anything of that sort. If somebody can help please let me know. Thanks in advance. |

If that's what Paperierkorb is called in English then no, I've deleted it from there. I've heard that it is possible to recover files even deleted from there if you have the proper tools. This PC Inspector program actually did so but it was useless to me as it was a Word file I need.

I have never heard of that. You could try doing a system recovery. But that doesn't recover My Documents. Only your hard disk. So if it was on your hard disk, you may try that. You can also lose other changings to your computer, depends on when the last system recovery point was made.

I'm sure that there's other ways to recover it. I mean if there's a program that helps to recover JPG's then theoretically the same should be possible for Word files too. I found quite a number of programs on the web but the thing is that other than the program described above, none comes from a site which I trust which is why I was hoping to find some info here. =/ Btw, the link to the file can still be found among my last used word files (of course it leads nowhere as the file has been deleted). Just wanted to mention it in case that can be of help. Last edited by Batumba; 05-08-2012 at 08:17 AM. |
