Friend List Limbo?

I've noticed recently occasionally that on my friends list, there will be 1 or 2 freinds at the bottom of the list that just seem to be in limbo where it seems the system is searching for them and can't find them. Sometimes it's a friend that I've had for awhile, other times is a new addition like today adding someone to play online with. Over time, they end of showing normal again. Is there any reason or info on this and a possible way to correct it?

If this is what I think it is then those users are playing on a Vita and since the Vita doesn't show properly on the PS3, that's why they appear at the bottom of your list when you/they sign-in.

They could be Vita users like me. Currently the PS3 friends list apparently does not handle it well. The last-login will disappear, and sometimes the user will just take awhile to show up or not at all.

One of my friends who has the Vita almost always ends up on the bottom, while a different one shows just fine.

I've got two people on my Friends List have a Vita and they're always at the bottom when they're signed in on them.

Yeah it's definitely that those guys are playing on the Vita because I always have a few people in Limbo too. It's annoying, but hopefully it'll get fixed in the near future.

Cool, thanks for the answer. I messaged my friend that it was happening to to see if he was on his Vita earlier. If yes, then I guess that's the case. Thanks guys.

Hmm I have a few on my list with a Vita and they always show up as normal in alphabetical order, never at the bottom. I do have about two at the bottom and it is strange because they are below someone on my list that hasn't been on in over two years. (First friend on PSN we played alot then they disappeared call me sentimental.) Anyway when they sign in they go back to their same alphabetical order so not sure what is the exact cause but I'm guessing it might have to do with maintenance, perhaps in one region and like if it's down for maintenance idk just a theory. Havn't checked in a while if this is still happing but I do know that Pesico and Technole never show up at the bottom neither do a few others not from the site with Vitas

They stay in their alphabetical order. One friends PSN starts with a B and he's always at the top even when signed on his Vita. How do I know he's on the Vita well his comment says so and his profile color is changed to one of ones only available on the Vita like the dark blue or the dark black.
