Wow, great guide mate!
I'll be using this soon when I get my HD PVR. Hopefully that happens this summer and I'll be recording in time for the new CoD release

and The AverMedia DarkCrystal HD (equivalent to HD PVR) is only £127 from Amazon, which is a pretty good price for what it is and considering the AverMedia Game Capture HD is £130 and the quality is much worse compared to the DarkCrystal HD. ![]() |

Very nice thread blackfalc0n, I'm sure it will prove most useful to newcomers in the video field. I had to set up my Dazzle DVC 100 myself, which wasn't too much of a hassle compared to if I had started with something more technical, but I was still thrown in at the deep end.

I'm looking to upgrade to something in HD (providing I get my HDMI at some point), and this thread should give me a kick in the right direction should I need it. Well done mate.

I've done a little researching on recording equipment, and I found this webpage from Which? (UK)
It explains everything you need to know about HD PVR's in general. I'll leave it here, as it might be useful for novice recorders. ![]() PVRs - Which?
