external hard drive problem
so I've got an external hard drive I use to watch films on my ps3, thing is it keeps turning the film off half way through and going to the main menu, anyone know anything I can do or any reasons why this is happening?

Strange, I also watch movies/episodes via a USB HDD (60GB my old phat drive lol), I've never had it power down half way through a movie. It sounds like a power issue with the PS3.
Does the HDD run constantly when plugged into a PC?

when it shuts off it doesnt disappear it just goes back to letting me select a film, but thenI have to fast forward to where I was lol
