Yeah, I did it on them as well as the three bugging LeChuck and McGillicuty, but nothing there either... So it has to be something else, or maybe something more.

Yep, just did it and I can confirm that you need to talk to:

-The group of three pirates
-The fat pirate on the right ship on the blockade (even thou Guybrush says he can't reach him)
-McGillicuty in his ship

No, there's more than that. I did those three and those three alone on a save and no trophy.

Try using it on Morgan as soon as you get the hook. She's the only other person I can think of that I didn't try it on. I'm fixing to play through another complete time and I'll post back with who can and can't have the hook used on them.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was about to do, starting... Right about now actually.

Basically what I'm going to do is keep a nice spreadsheet of who I use it on and what reaction they have. If I manage to get the trophy on McGillicuty again, I can start narrowing the list down until I get a concrete answer of who to use it on.

Morgan would almost certainly have to count, though... She is an adversary at that point. And she wasn't fresh in my mind at the time I wrote this.

The only time that Guybrush doesn't say he can't use it on her in the normal tone is up on the deck with the wheel. He uses a different phrase, but still doesn't threaten her.

It was worth a try. I've used the hook on everyone else in this episode now, but still no trophy.

Actually, I just found that it loops between two phrases. First he says "A hook is great for grabbing things, but not so great in a swordfight." Second, he says "I'm not giving it back. I found it, I'm keeping it."

And then it just loops.

EDIT: Okay, I got it. Here's the list of people I talked to.

Now I just have to sort out what you don't need, which is probably all the standard "hook hand manual" and "it'll tarnish" replies.

I just played threw the game two times exactly the same way. The first time the trophy didn't unlock, but the last time it did.

Okay, yes. I did it again and got it. I only used the hook on the following people.

• Morgan (only did it once)
• Hardtack
• Pox-Ridden Pirates
• McGillicutty (on his ship)

*sigh* Finally. Time to update the guide and finish writing the road map.
