![]() Overview - Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 4/10 - Estimated time to 100%: 6-10 hours - Trophies: 20 (1 , 19 )- Offline: 19 - Online: 1 - Missable trophies: None - Glitched trophies: None - Does difficulty affect trophies?: Skirmish trophies must be completed on Normal or higher Roadmap and Game Mode overview Most trophies can be completed in any order (challenge modes are unlocked through campaign). All but 1 trophy is associated with the Single Player modes. Within Single Player, there is: Campaign- This is the easiest way to get introduced to the basics of S&S and I'd recommend new players to start here, going in order of the 3 campaigns: Viking, Aztec, and Chinese. Skirmish- Standard play against CPU AI. *Trophies cannot be obtained on Easy* It's easy to obtain the following trophies: Rickrolled, Uncontrolled Demolition, & Bull in a China Shop in either this mode or Multiplayer. Challenges- 3 challenges: Berserker Run (Techno Viking Dances Away/Son of Norris), Boulder (King of the Stone Age), and Survival (At First I was Afraid). These challenges are unlocked after completing certain Campaign levels. There is only 1 trophy associated with Online Multiplayer: Social Viking. Generally I don't think you'll have a hard time finding an opponent, but if you are worried about this trophy there's nothing wrong with going for it first. If you need a boosting partner, please visit the **Boosting Thread**. I recommend playing through the campaigns in order so you get used to the game, you may then take on the online trophy and the challenges. *Note* The latest version of this game has nerfed Chinese swordsmen, rocketeers, arrow rain, and terracotta warriors among others. Please make note that many of the Chinese-related trophies are easier with version 1.00 Offline Trophies: Campaign Trophies: color guide- Viking Aztec Chinese Cooking by the Book (Bronze)complete the Viking campaign Unlocks after completing Viking campaign mission 10. Unlocks Aztec Campaign. V for Veggies![]() complete the Aztec campaign Unlocks after completing Aztec campaign mission 10. Unlocks Chinese Campaign. I'm no Kung, Fool! (Bronze)complete the Chinese campaign Unlocks after completing Chinese campaign mission 10. Lacking Balls (Bronze)Complete Aztec Campaign level 8 without using a Boulder For this mission you do not have a base and you cannot produce units. You have a plethora of spells to use to deal with the enemies along the way (mind control being the best available). You can use the map I made as a reference. Mind control the 1st giant and trap the 2nd with a cage. Mind control a few units along the way and you'll get this easily. It's even easier if you mind control the 3rd giant on the top path, while you are walking along the bottom (he will kill the 2 dart blowers near him). By the time you reach the tower it will focus on your giants while your skeletons take it down. ![]() Fourtification (Bronze)Complete Viking Campaign level 7 with all Towers intact Starting out, build 6 workers, research Beserkers+Axe Throwers+Level 1 Mana Regeneration. Change the path with so your units take the lower path! Make 2 Axe Throwers to fill the towers (you won't need any in the first 2).After your friend informs you "The Enemy could be here any second!" make 4-6 Berserkers. Afterwards, finish maxing out your workers to 10, and research Rage+Frost Hammers. The tactic from here on out is to make a pair of 1 Berserker+1 Hammer, an Axe Thrower now and then, every time you get 135 gold. You can use Rage in 2 ways: to group your axe throwers or to damage the enemy+knock them back. Rage travels pretty far, so you can use this on the 3rd or 4th unit behind the one being attacked, but for simplicity I made a basic diagram: ![]() At 1:20 to go, catapults will spawn for you. Shortly afterwards a whole bunch of Cat Warriors+Dart Blowers will charge your tower; make sure you use Rage twice with a Hammer (preferably) to take them out. Although I didn't do it in the video you can probably research the Blizzard spell after your units get caged. You don't need it to get the trophy though (as seen in the vid). You may also use the same strategy used in Pity the Fool! (axe thrower spam). Pity the Fool! (Bronze)Survive Viking Campaign level 10 without the help of Mr. Thor If the enemy makes it past your first tower (furthest tower on the right) then Thor is summoned to your aid. After trying several strategies I found the strategy I use in the video to be the easiest. My strategy takes advantage of the low cooldown+cost of axe throwers, combined with frost hammers, using rage+blizzard as well on large mobs. Frost hammers have almost the same movespeed as axe throwers so the two combine nicely. Despite the fact that there is a 25% chance the chinese swordsmen will reflect the axes, the sheer volume of units makes it easy to use rage to take them out. Use blizzard for the yinyanged mobs. Where are the Kangaroos? (Bronze)Complete Viking Campaign level 4 by destroying the enemy base *Unlocks "Berserker Run" challenge* You just have to destroy the enemy base instead of gathering 1,000 gold. Probably the easiest trophy to get. Your tech tree is limited to Berserkers, Axes, Lightning, Heal, and Lvl 1 Mana Regen, so most of your gold should be spent on units. Keep pumping them out and you should be fine. Fort Knox'd (Bronze)Prevent the Giant in Aztec Campaign level 2 from reaching the Goldmine This is a bit tricky since the Giant cannot reach the 2nd goldmine (furthest right), or you don’t get the trophy. Strategy: make 2 workers *total of 6* and research dart blowers. Keep producing dart blowers and the poison bomb when you have gold surplus. Do not get the sacrifice spell. The caged units slow down the giant greatly, so it's important not to sacrifice. As long as you keep producing dart blowers and using the poison bomb, the giant will fall before the mine. Be sure to change the paths with so your units don't go past the giant! Keep Your Lousy Army (Bronze)Complete Aztec Campaign level 10 without taking control of the Viking army Harder than it looks on paper since the enemy will send a combination of Chinese+Viking units against your puny Aztec army. It's best to avoid the high path at the fork due to the tower (as usual use to change the path). Mind control Old Men+Chinese Swordsmen or Viking Berserkers as they are the best units to control. Necromancers help you push. Note- Giants will give the largest yield for mana, so make them+sacrifice whenever possible. Also, Necromancers+dart blowers are a solid pushing strategy, but against Chinese it is tough (swordsmen have a 25% chance to reflect projectiles). You can try substituting jaguars for the darts instead. Also, you can use Giants to push too, they are fantastic against swordsmen. Last edited by Buster-K; 01-04-2012 at 06:49 PM. Planet of the Ninja Apes (Bronze)Complete Chinese Campaign level 3 without a single Ninja death You control 3 monkeys in this level, and 4 have to survive (1 comes to your aid at the Buddhas). You may use the vid as a reference. As I mention in the vid description sorry about the darkness, it's hard to get a clear picture without the image being too bright/too dark with my crapcam. Blotting out the Sun (Bronze)Complete Chinese Campaign level 7 with 15 or more Rocketeers alive You cannot produce Rocketeers so you have to use YinYang to copy the ones that are spawned for you (they come to your aid after the 1st wave of enemies). Keep building Buddha statues so you have enough mana and don’t bother with fire arrows or defensive shields at all. Your swordsmen will tank all the damage, just keep copying rocketeers whenever you can, and build Buddhas as you advance. You can use your gold to make sure the supply of soldiers doesn’t run out. Lost Vikings (Bronze)Complete Chinese Campaign level 8 without killing a single Berserker You can’t be very hasty about this trophy. As you advance through the map you will see Viking hostages at the Aztec camps. Just make sure you can spot them, then hold off your attack. If you wait, the Aztecs will sacrifice the Vikings, and you can move forward. Don’t build a massive army as they will kill the Vikings before the Aztecs can, and you’d have to start over. Single Player Challenge mode trophies At First I Was Afraid (Bronze)Survive over 30 minutes in a Survival game I'd recommend using the Chinese for this challenge. You do not need the shield, YinYang, or Old Men for my strategy. *All times are approximate* Wave 1: Berserkers (0:40 seconds they reach your base) Wave 2: Axe throwers (~2:45-3:00 til they reach base) Wave 3: Giants Wave 4: Dart Blowers/Necromancers Wave 5: Zen Masters Wave 6: Frost Hammers Wave 7:Berserkers/Rocketeers Wave 8: Monkeys/Catapults Wave 9: Zen Masters/Necros Wave 10: Berserkers/Axe throwers Wave 11: Giants/Axe throwers Wave 12: Giants/Rockets/Darts Wave 13: Darts/Necros/ZMs/Rockets Wave 14: ZMs/Hammers Wave 15: Berserkers/Hammers/Rockets Wave 16: Monkeys/Berserkers/Catapults/Rockets Wave 17: Monkeys/ZMs/Necros/Catapults Wave 18: Darts/Rockets/Necros/Catapults/ZMs Wave 19: Giants with Rage Wave 20: Berserkers/Axes/Giants Wave 21: Necros/Giants/Darts/ Wave 22: Darts/ZMs/Rockets/Giants Wave 23: Darts/Rockets/ZMs/Frost/Necros Wave 24: Berserkers/Hammers/Rockets/ZMs *Congratulations you've survived for 30 minutes!* Basic strategy: Surviving the 1st wave is key because you have more time after it to mine gold/make units/research spells. Starting Build: Make 4 workers and research Chinese Swordsmen/Stone Warriors/Arrow spell Wave 1: Make 4-6 Swordsmen. Once the enemy is close to your goldmine use the Stone Soldier spell to clump them up, then the arrow spell to kill most of them. Make a few more swordsmen to finish them off. Afterwards you have a lot of time before Wave 2 gets close. Wave 2-9: Make 10 workers. Research Rocketeers+Buddha Tower. Build 2 Buddhas when you can, afterwards you will send out 1 Swordsman and 1 Rocketeer every 140 gold. Use the Stone Soldier+Arrow spell if your rocketeers don't take care of them. Wave 10-24: Research the Dragon spell around 10:00. Keep producing a pair of 1 Rocketeer+1 Swordsman every 140 gold. Use the Dragon spell sparingly (you'll need it a lot for the last few waves) if you can, otherwise the Stone Soldier+Arrow combo works really well, especially against waves that use Rage. Make sure you have 2 Buddhas all the time, if you can! Mana is very important to survive Techno Viking Dances Away (Bronze)Reach the maximum distance in a Berserker Run game You control Arnie, a Viking Berserker, fighting enemies along the way, you must have 1 surviving unit by the end of the map: at certain points, you are given a choice between 2 spells (by default you start off with heal+shield). At certain points in the map, Arnie clones will come to your aid. Here are my general tips for this: -Don't bother trying to save all your clones! Make sure that at least 1 is protected by using heal or shield... trying to heal them all is a waste of mana, I just let them die -The best spells are AOE (area of effect), IMO, i.e. poison bomb, arrow rain, blizzard, etc. Cage is useful too since you can stop individual Zen Masters/Giants/Frost Hammers, but make sure to take out the unit in the back. -You only gain mana from crates, so if you get lightning bolt, be cautious about running out of mana, you might need it for a heal/shield! -Try to avoid troublesome mobs with a lot of rocketeers, frost hammers, etc. who will easily kill your Vikings! You can use to change the path at each fork. King of the Stone Age (Bronze)Kill all Vikings in a Boulder Mode game without killing any of your own This is possibly the most difficult trophy in the game. You control a boulder and you must avoid all Aztec friendlies, while crushing all Viking enemies. It takes several tries just so you can learn the layout. *It is possible to pause during the boulder run so it may help to pause after each jump. (Thanks Dakisu)* I have mapped out the boulder run so you can see where the friends are. There are several points where you have to jump repeatedly in succession... don't be jump-crazy as you'll either miss a Viking or hit a friend by accident. WARNING: Image is VERY long. ![]() Misc Trophies (obtained in any mode) *can be boosted/completed splitscreen* Rickrolled (Bronze)destroy the enemy castle with a boulder Can be easily boosted or in a single player skirmish (a small map makes it easier). Pick Aztec and overrun the opponents base, finish it with a boulder. It doesn’t matter if you crush your own units as long as the killing blow is delivered from the boulder impact. **Boosting Thread** Uncontrolled Demolition (Bronze)destroy a tower under construction with Rage Easily boosted or completed splitscreen, just have Player 2 build a tower and have your vikings destroy it with Rage before it finishes building. **Boosting Thread** Bull in a China Shop (Bronze)- cast a boulder that does not damage a single unitEasily done in split screen. Have the 2P player to build a tower close to your base, then sacrifice each of your units (workers included) then cast boulder, it will destroy the tower and your trophy will pop. **Boosting Thread** Son of Norris (Bronze)Kill 36 units with a single unit Can be obtained while attempting the Techno Viking Dances Away trophy. Online Trophy Social Viking (Silver)Play 10 matches online Easy trophy, win or lose just play 10 online multiplayer matches. **Boosting thread** Last edited by Vyrastas; 05-17-2011 at 01:04 AM. Yeah you're right, mainly I wanted to put all the type down first. I'm working on some images of all the maps you need for the missions, at least for the ones you control a set of units or 1 unit. Also working on the boulder map.

i got to 361 yards in the berserker run. i use the trap, the poison bottle, the snow, the arrows and thors hammer. it gets quite frustrating though. hard to manage 4 dudes at once and then you go to take care of the next group ahead of you, then you come back and all but 1 is dead and your last one is about to die.
edit: so i finally beat this. how the hell does the #1 have a 1000+ yard run? one thing i can say is, dont be afraid to use your magic. you have a lot to spare at the end. thors hammer at the end really helps. edit2: that map you made is excellent. keep it up. anything i can help with i will try (although with enslaved and castlevania coming out, this game will get less time). Thanks, I'll make a few more maps for the trophies that need them. I could make a map for the Berserker Run but mainly for that map you need to use a lot of spells and take the right ones. It's kind of hard to offer tips for the boulder trophy other than possibly making a map, but even then you have to memorize the timing. edit: If you have anything to add to the strats or descriptions, I'm all ears. I am not great at this game (despite getting 100%) so if the strats can be improved I'm sure that would help others greatly. I can only post what worked easily for me, hopefully it will help other people. Last edited by Buster-K; 10-03-2010 at 10:23 AM. |

I updated the 1st post to include my Fourtification strategy, tried it a few times and worked without a problem. I can't really think of an easier way to do it, for now. Working on a Berserker Run map/strategy and maps for Lost Vikings and Planet of the Ninja Apes. I'll try to improve the guide as much+as frequently possible, but I have other things to do too so please be patient. Again if anyone has videos/easier strategies and whatnot, post here or PM me. |

Yeah King of the Stone Age is the most difficult trophy, perhaps the Berserker Run too, even with a map it's all about timing the jumps. I actually have a digicam that can take video so perhaps I'll try to make YT vids for each trophy instead of lengthy strategies. I might not be able to update this for a bit because of work and other obligations, but hopefully I can get some vids up. |
