I was going for the "Speed Freak" trophy (finish each round in 20 seconds or less)
I made sure to finish ever single round before the time hit 79 (99 second time limit) and I still didn't get it? I started playing as Ryu, but when I lost (didn't win under 20 seconds, and then let my opponent defeat me) and changed to Zangief and spam:ed HK and Lariats. Is it glitched? I did have the bonus stages during the arcade mode, can that effect it? Thanks in advance |

It is glitched imo, but... in totally oposite way ^^; I got Speed Freak yesterday, even though I won one battle in 20+ sec and one battle with Time Over. And I had to use one continue also.
I'm pretty sure it is glitched. And Speed Freak is not the only one I'm afraid... |

Yeah it's glitched. I actually got mine after multiple arcade playthroughs. I got 1st 5 fights under 20, then messed up for the rest, then I got the other fights (no need to repeat the 1st 5 that I did before) on the other playthroughs.

Awhile back, speculation about this trophy was that it is not glitched in itself, but rather the requirements for it are misleading. If you're playing single-round matches, you don't have to complete every match in 20 or less - you have to complete the game in less than 160 seconds overall, which would amount to 20 seconds per match. When I played, I completed every match in less than 20 seconds, then reached Seth and went over 20 seconds (by about 2), but the trophy popped anyway, presumeably because I had defeated some opponents in well below 20 seconds. That said, I had the bonus rounds off and of course online mode off, too. Hope that helps.

I say the trophy description is wrong. I remember using the zangief method, quickly blew through everyone but I lost against seth twice. But the trophy still popped to my surprise. What are the real requirements I don't know, or maybe it is glitched.

Thought I'd give this a shot.
Settings: Medium difficulty, one round, 30s time limit, Zangief Attempt 1: 11, 11, 18, 23, 23, 20, 14, seth - time (w), akuma 26 Attempt 2: 11, 9, 22, 11, 14, 15, 26, seth - time (w), akuma time (l) Attempt 2 got the trophy. Maybe it doesn't need to be consecutive - you just need to beat each normal round in less than 20 seconds whenever. That would make it a pretty easy trophy for a silver. Total time for attempt 1 was 120s, attempt 2 was 108s. |
