Those characters with those back, forward arrows moves are super annoying in trials...
Is there any easier way to execute those moves, how long exactly u need to charge for? Example Guile trial 15. L flash kick > flash explosion Every time i did the flash kick i hold to charge to get ready to do the ultra but the ultra never comes out.. but if i do it separately just the ultra itself it works. So how long do u have to charge before the move comes out cause its pretty damn frustrating |

It generally takes 2 seconds to charge a move.
What you have to do for that trial is to basically try to charge down back as soon as possible after executing the motion for the Flash Kick and then trigger the ultra as late as possible yet making sure that it still connects. Just needs timing on your part

finally did it, now stuck on 20 for guile. Man this game is pretty damn hard. I guess it takes a lot of time, patient and persistence to complete all these trials. The last sf game play was like ex alpha 2 or something in ps1 lool. Everything is so different.

I pretty much avoid those two 'concepts' when I first started on the trials and that cost me a lot of time and frustration.

The 2 second timing is a misconception. The early Street Fighter games showed 2 seconds as the charge time in the instruction manuals, and this has been passed on as the timing for the current Street Fighter games. It is not true for the Street Fighter IV series. The answer is closer to 1 second than 2. (Actually it's less than 1 second.)
Don't believe me? Set up a Player vs. Player battle (aka local match). As the timer ticks, press the direction to charge and hold it. When the timer ticks again, press the correct direction and button to trigger the move. Bingo! It comes out doesn't it? (If it doesn't, that means that you pressed a diagonal by accident or hit the button too soon. Try it again and you'll get it.) Since 1 second is less than 2 seconds it's not 2 seconds for charge time. You can read more about it here (it's the bottom of the first entry on the topic): *** Misconceptions of the SF4 Game System Mechanics - GREAT READ *** I hope this helps, -Ivan. |

God damn someone did their homework with that huge explanation on controls. I actually use the trip guard a lot for shoryuken spammers as they think they'll get the hit but I'm safely blocked. I never knew that technique was given its own name and essay explaining it.
