WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?: This is the sequel to the fun Playstation Move game Start the Party!. It is a collection of mini-games designed to play on your own or with friends in a few different modes. In contrast to its predecessor, you can pick any game you want at any time, meaning no more waiting for a random game. Also, the first game was an easy platinum, but this one is insanely easy, I got my first trophy at 10.30am and had the platinum at 1.00pm, with a few breaks in the middle. Some things may take a few tries; you may be better at one game over another, but I assure you, practically anyone can get this platinum within one day’s work.

Roadmap:

Step 1: From the Main Menu select Solo Play > Freeplay, pick your character, then play through each game one by one, reading the controls and ultimately trying to get on the Highscore Table for each game. The scores are super easy to beat, and after this step you will probably already have the majority of the trophies. The ones we are aiming for, and will definitely have after this step, are Highscore Legend! and Party Hero. You will most likely have Clear Winner by now but if for some reason you haven’t hit the very top of a Highscore Table, pick your favourite game and replay it until you have finished top.

Step 2: Next, from the main menu select Group Play > Quick Fire, and select the minimum of 2 players. Now play through all 3 rounds either by yourself or with a friend, until the end where you will achieve Highspeed Hero.

Step 3: Now, from the main menu select Group Play > Party > Long, again selecting the minimum of 2 players. There are 8 rounds to play in a long game of Party mode. Play them all by yourself or with a friend. After this step you will achieve Party Marathon and House Party.

Step 4: From the main menu select Solo Play > Survivor. Now play through the games that will be thrown at you and do as well as you can, trying to survive for 4 minutes. The reason to leave this until last is so that you can practice each game and know the controls so that you are prepared. By now this should be easy, it may take a few attempts but it’s not hard. After surviving for 4 minutes and completing this step, you will have Survivor and Survival Expert.

Step 5: Mop up – you may be missing some of the game-specific trophies at this step. Please see the guide for details on any specific trophies you may need to get. At the end of this step you will have Party King! – a shiny new platinum to show off! Enjoy.

Trophy Guide:

Party King!
Collect all other trophies for Start the Party! Save the World

Nothing new here, obtain every other trophy, and this one will unlock. It won’t take very long either, a nice bonus. When this pops for you, then congratulations!


Survivor
Survive for 4 minutes or more in Survivor mode

This trophy requires you to survive for at least 4 minutes in the Solo Play > Survivor mode. Leave this until last after you have practiced each game for a while and it should be a doddle. In earlier rounds it will seem very easy but beware, the game can get very quick later on.


Highscore Legend!
Play every game in Free Play mode and get onto the Highscore Table in each one

There are 20 mini-games in total on this game, and all are playable via Solo Play > Free Play. Go through each game one by one and replay it until you are visible on the Highscore Table at the end of the game. The scores are very easy to beat so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.


Packed Like Sardines
Save 14 Divers in a single game of Super Sub Rescue

In this game you must aim where you want to go and accelerate with the button. On screen pointers will point the way to the nearest stranded diver. Simply pick up the divers (you can carry a maximum of 5 at a time) and drop them off at the submarine, being careful to avoid the mines on the way there. I found it easiest to pick up 5 divers twice, then 4 on the last run, as constant trips to the submarine waste a lot of time.


Supermassive Black Hole
Lure 4 UFOs into a Black Hole in Space Shootout

Black Holes are created when you shoot and destroy the bigger UFOs. On screen pointers will show you where the nearest UFOs are. When you see a bigger UFO and some smaller ones around him, try and kill only the bigger UFO so that a Black Hole will open up and suck in the surrounding UFOs.


Dinner Denied
Prevent the monster from eating any Civilians in a single game of Chopper Rescue

The easiest way of doing this is to play the game as normal by picking up Civilians and dropping them off at the roof, and when you see an on screen pointer with an exclamation mark that means the Civilian is about to be eaten; you must quickly race over to him and pick him up before the monster eats him. Then carry on playing as normal, quickly saving any Civilians who are close to being eaten.


Fish Fever
Catch 40 fish within a single game of Deep Sea Peril

Press the button to use the grabbers to pick up the green fish, and then release it to drop them in the boat at the top of the screen. There are more than enough fish to do this, and as far as I know you can only pick up the green fish so don’t worry about accidentally picking up the reds. However, the red ones will bite your grabbers so shake the controller to get them off before they waste too much time.


Civilian Saviour
Protect every Civilian in a single game of Robo Blast

While playing this mini-game you will occasionally see a Civilian running on the street in front of you. Protect him by shooting all the UFOs you see. When a big red UFO hovers above him, he is going to abduct him! Quickly charge up your beam by holding the button then release it to blast the red UFO out of the sky. Make sure no Civilians are abucted.


Frenzied Fishin’
Rescue every diver over 8 areas within a single game of Gone Fishin’

This one can be a little tricky to do in the time allotted. Sometimes there are jellyfish in the way which can annoy you as you constantly drop the divers. Use the magnet by pressing the button to pick up the divers and put them in the boat. When jellyfish appear you will have to dodge them or use your magnet to pick up objects and hit the jellyfish with them, to destroy the jellyfish and clear a path. The trophy is to rescue all the divers in 8 areas, not just 8 divers; there are two or even three divers in some of the later areas that all must be rescued.

If you have trouble with this, I found that it is easier to move the jellyfish out of your path using a normal controller, either another person or by yourself, although obviously it's more awkward solo, but doable.

Quick Fix
Fix every robot within a single game of Fixin’ Frenzy

A robot will come through the doors on a production line, you will have to remove any out-of-place limbs by grabbing them with the button, and replacing them with the correct parts on the top of the screen. You cannot remove the correct parts so don’t worry about that. Each robot will need a head, two arms and two legs before he goes through the doors, or you will not get this trophy.


Tyrannosaurus Wreck
Protect all the cavemen in a single game of Jurassic Spark

Simply use the button to eat a firefly and wait for a Pterodactyl to fly across the screen, when you see one, point towards him and release the button to shoot the firefly at him. Don’t let any of the Pterodactyls swoop and grab a caveman!


Line em’ Up
Destroy 8 UFOs simultaneously in Alien Attack

Keep painting circles around the UFOs until you get a group of 8 together towards the end of the 60 seconds (there will not be enough UFOs early on). Then paint a circle around them to destroy 8 at once, and the trophy will pop.


Home Sweet Home
Help 6 cavemen get back home within a single game of Caveman Bounce

The Pterodactyls will fly across the screen and drop cavemen out of the sky. Your job is to use the button to ‘paint’ clouds across the screen that act as trampolines to bounce the cavemen home. An on screen pointer will point the way to the caveman’s home if it is off-screen. Try and paint slightly angled clouds in order to bounce the cavemen towards home, if one dies you will most likely not get the trophy because there are only 6-7 per round to save.

Quite the Catch
Catch 25 Sailors in a row in a single game of Overboard

You must hold your pan out of the windows to catch the Sailors who are walking the plank. Try and catch the first 25 Sailors because they will come slower, be easier to anticipate when they will jump, and the windows will all stay open for longer.


Manic Mechanic
Repair every robot within a single game of Robo Repair

Robots will move across the screen on a conveyor belt and you must repair them as they land in front of the correct window. There are three windows which will only open for a specific repair, and this is random every time. The broken heads will require one bash to hit it back on, the dirty robots will require scrubbing clean (I found a side-to-side motion best here) and the robots on fire will need extinguishing (I found holding the funnel above and aiming down, and tapping the button to be best here). Towards the end of the 60 seconds the windows will open and close very quickly so you must be quick; if the window closes and the robot is still broken, just restart as you rarely have another chance to put it right.


There’s No Space Like Home
Help 10 Astronauts get safely to their rocket in Astro Bounce

Astronauts will move from the left side of the screen to the right and all you have to do is use the button to ‘paint’ force fields which deflect the asteroids away from them. If you see an asteroid coming, just draw a line in its path, and it will head away.


Boom Shot!
Shoot 5 bombs in a single game of Speedy Shootout

In this game you sit in the back of a car and shoot helicopters out of the sky. However for this trophy, you shouldn’t shoot the choppers directly. Instead, wait for one to hover above you, aim at the bomb it is carrying, and when it releases the bomb quickly shoot at and destroy it in mid-air. Do this 5 times for the trophy.


Ready For Launch
Build 6 rockets in a single game of Rocket Repair

For this trophy simply pick up the base and put it on the stand, then the main body of the rocket, then the nose. The astronaut will then jump in and fly away. Do this 6 times, and you will have the trophy.


Trail Blazing
Destroy a group of 9 Fireflies in one stroke in Fire Fight

Keep destroying the fireflies by pressing and holding the button and swiping in the pattern that the fireflies are lined up in on the screen. Every now and then you will see 9 fireflies in an ‘S’ formation. Swipe them all in one motion for the trophy.


Safe N’ Sound
Rescue 25 divers from the clutches of the Octosquid in a single game of Tentacle Trouble

Use the grabbers by pressing the button to grab the divers from the tentacles and drop them off in the cage that will appear on the top right or left of the screen. The hardest part about this trophy is dodging the annoying jellyfish en route to the cage, just take your time and 25 shouldn’t be too hard to manage.


Flash Bash
Don’t let the bears crack the window in a game of Bear Bash

The bears will run alongside the train. Simply swing your hammer to bash them away. If a bear jumps onto the train, he will start punching your window, so quickly make him your priority and smash him off. I found it easy for this trophy to stand close to the camera so your hammer is very large, then swing away.


Bomb Bounder
Destroy 35 of Dr. Terrible’s cloned helicopters in a single game of Bomb Bouncin’

Stick your tennis racket out of the window and swing upwards when a helicopter drops a bomb on your building. It will destroy him, and later on in the 60 seconds, it may destroy one of his friends too. Keep doing this until you get 35, which shouldn’t be too hard as there are plenty of helicopters to hit.


Medical Marvel
Collect 20 medi-packs within a single game of Manic Medic

With this trophy I found it best to just concentrate solely on balancing the patient in my hand. By doing this you will almost definitely get 30-40 medi-packs purely by accident.


Survival Expert
Climb to the top of the Highscore Table in Survivor mode

The top score in Survivor mode is 3:30. Survive longer than that for the trophy.

Get a top score in any game in Free Play mode

The top scores are as follows:

Super Sub Rescue: 2000
Deep Sea Peril: 7500
Manic Medic: 5500
Fixin’ Frenzy: 8500
Robo Blast: 7000
Robo Repair: 4000
Gone Fishin’: 6500
Chopper Rescue: 4500
Alien Attack: 10,000

Caveman Bounce: 2000

Rocket Repair: 4500

Speedy Shootout: 11,000

There were only two or three games where I didn’t finish top of the table after just one try. However if you are having trouble I would recommend Astro Bounce or Bear Bash as I literally doubled the next highest score on these after one try.


Party Marathon
Complete a ‘Long’ game of Party mode play

From the main menu select Group Play > Party > Long. Then select 2 characters if you just want the trophy quickly, or however many friends are around if you wish to get it and have a bit more fun. There are 8 rounds in a Long game, and they go fairly quickly.


Dive For Five
Save 5 Divers Simultaneously in Super Sub Rescue

In Super Sub Rescue the maximum divers you can carry at once is 5. Simply get 5 divers and drop them at the sub without hitting a mine that will make them drop off. Even if you do drop them, you can easily pick up all 5 again and continue on.


Trigger Happy!
Destroy 5 waves of UFOs without the use of the charged shot in Space Shootout

In this game, constantly tapping the button will shoot bullets and holding then releasing the button will shoot a charged shot. So just don’t charge your shot all through the game. It is very easy to kill 5 waves, and even all of them, without charging the shot.


Heli Hero
Save 3 Civilians Simultaneously in Chopper Rescue

Make sure you have 3 Civilians hanging from your ladder, then drop them all off on the roof to save them, very simple.


Flying Fish
Catch 10 fish in mid-air in a single game of Deep Sea Peril

At regular intervals in this game, the green fish will jump out of the sea. Don’t bother trying to catch the ones in the water, wait for them to jump and press the button to grab them in mid-air. You will see an on screen bonus saying ‘Fab Grab’ when you do this right. Drop them in the boat or back in the sea and repeat 10 times.


Triple Blast
Destroy 3 UFOs with one charged blast in Robo Blast

The hardest part about this trophy is getting 3 UFOs on screen at the same time. Usually if you charge and blast the red UFO who is abducting the Civilian, a few more UFOs will appear, quickly swipe and cover the screen in the hope that the charged beam will kill 3 of them.


Jelly Justice
Pop 10 jellyfish within a single game of Gone Fishin’

If there are jellyfish on screen you can kill them by picking up and object such as barrel or pipe and dropping the object on them. Keep doing this and saving the divers last to move the scene to the next area where there will be more jellyfish. Again repeat until you hit 10.


Firefly Feast
Grab 40 or more fireflies within a single game of Jurassic Spark

By ignoring the Pterodactyls and cavemen and focusing solely on grabbing fireflies and spitting them out immediately you can get at least 50-60 fireflies or more during one game. Just do this to get the trophy easily.


Top Row Rescue
Catch 10 Sailors using only the top row of windows in a single game of Overboard

Try and catch the first 10 Sailors by sticking your hand out of the top row of windows. It doesn’t have to be in a row so even if you miss the first 10, just keep catching them using only the top row. As the game moves on the windows will start randomly shutting and you won’t be able to use all of the top row, this is why I recommend the first 10 Sailors.


Production Line
Fix 20 robots within a single game of Robo Repair

Very easy, you will get this along with Manic Mechanic. Simply keep fixing the robots before the window closes, fixing 20 will net you this trophy.


Party Hero
Play every game within Start the Party! Save the World

This will come naturally by trying to get on the Highscore Table for each game, and it could even pop sooner if you play party mode first as you could get any combination of games.


Highspeed Hero
Complete a game of Quickfire

Select Group Play > Quickfire from the main menu and complete the game. There are only 3 rounds, to make it even quicker only play with the minimum 2 players.


House Party
Complete a game of Party mode

See Party Marathon.

Thanks. Yeah I honestly could not believe it, I kept thinking maybe a hard trophy would come but there is no difficulty level and they were all so easy. I checked PSN Profiles and I was the 2nd fastest in the world at 2hrs 30mins (definitely will be beaten soon if people follow the roadmap), which is insane as, in the middle of it all, I was making a couple of notes for this guide, getting a drink or 2, I even fed my 4 month old daughter a bottle. Easy is an understatement, I couldn't give it a 1 though because it actually requires you to move.

I don't know if it was released there. If not you could maybe try eBay, or I think Zavvi ship worldwide. It's spooky that you're from Canada as I purchased my first ever imported game from there last month (Back to the Future) and I also ordered another one today as it was a great price and arrived within a week.

looks far easier than the first - the fish popping one on that was insane, still got a couple left to do on it but they are too tough.

Hmmm, that's strange. I had no glitches and I am pretty sure this is how I did it. Perhaps leaving it until last, then deleting game data and trying again will solve this problem?

The fish popping trophy was probably the hardest one definitely, but I popped like a demon and it didn't take me too long in the end! Trust me when I say, not one of these trophies comes any where near close to that. In fact, I'd say you could get the whole platinum in this game, in the time it takes some people to practice and nail fish popping on the last game. There is not even a hard difficulty in this game, only one difficulty level and it feels easier than easy was in the first game.
