Yeah that is the weirdest thing, the enemies sometimes just seem to "blend in" with the surroundings from a distance, and the Hawks are the worse, I could never see them in flight if not for the white circle around the targets.

But other than that, it's a solid game, I read many reviews saying that the singleplayer is only a glorified tutorial, but I'm actually finding it very enjoyable, especially if you like Horde/Survival type matches, the whole singleplayer mode is pretty much Horde "You against the world" mode, set it to Mercenary difficulty and you're in for a hell of a ride.

Multiplayer is also a lot of fun when it works, I'm constantly getting disconnected and it's ruining the multiplayer experience for me. I finally managed to completed a full game of CTF last night and it was magnificent. It's so full of action and yet everyone in the team really need to get organized for a win.

I consider myself above average in this game, but its not as hard as some make it out to be, you just have to learn the game better. There are many options and you have plan ahead what you want to do.

My current tactic is getting a hawk ASAP and then harassing enemy bases. I choose the skill that lets me gather energy from anywhere so I constantly build turrets whenever is needed and guard them and just keep building them. After 5-10 mins if the enemy does not take out what I have built they become trapped in their base and it allows my team mates to do whatever they like which I think is fun.

Starhawk is like a RTS chess match, there is a counter for everything you just have to do whats best for you and your team. If there is already a launch pad why are people wasting 6 blocks to make another? People that build the same thing in the same area don't know what they are doing and just waste energy.

People have to learn to destroy structures because it limits what the opposition can do. If you do decide to fly and aren't very good build a Laser Beam tower that you can fly around because those damage hawks quite fast. Also remember you can build towers while in a hawk, If you have 6 energy saved up. swoop down and drop down 2 gun turrets if youd like.

I dunno game is super fun, I have already put 20 hrs into it, and I am lvl 20

What other games would you compare it to?

Warhawk! Starhawk is actually first of its kind, with the build and battle system. There really isn't another game out there that is like this game, thats why it is exclusive to Sony. You might have vague comparisons but nothing that is really close. The air combat is unique to any game and like I mentioned the build n battle is unique as well.

If I had to throw a game out there, I may say Mercenaries 2, for the ground troop aspect in 3rd person.

The most recent comparison I could think of is Trenched aka Iron Brigade, because of the Mechs and tower defense aspect. But other than that, it's a pretty unique game. I'm not really into shooter multiplayer because I suck, but this is different, I'm quite happy just building structures and help out my team any way I can.

I love it, the filters for games could be better and your stats could be much more elaborate to say the least but it is great game once you get the hang of it.
If you master the hawk and learn how to doge incoming attacks you can get pretty sick really quick.

The lag seems much better than when the game first came out, but I don't remember any patches that have come out for it yet. Overall I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. The online matches really sell this game for me.

Just felt slightly under par for me the beta, was expecting it to have been a free to play game with a upgrade content store to make revenue. I'll pick it up when I see it drop a little in price but for me I won't be paying full price.
