Worst cast of characters, ever.

I like the characters in Hyperdimension Neptunia.

I liked most of the characters here. Edge got annoying when he was whiny, and Lymle just didn't work, but I thought the others were OK.

I think the most annoying characters were found in Final Fantasy XIII. Gotta love Vanille's, "I was afraid if I told the truth, people wouldn't like me!" I'm pretty sure I last heard that in an after-school special.

I was thinking about getting this, but this thread has convinced me otherwise. If the characters are as bad as you say (and I trust that they probably are) then there's no way I could endure 500 odd hours of them...

They can't be as bad as the characters from FF XIII though surely?

The characters in this game are pretty normal like in any other JRPG or Anime. It's just that people who are not used to the genre don't like them.

I'm used to the JRPG genre but these characters and dialogue are irritating. Great rant BTW

I have to say at least the characters aren't instantly forgettable like a certain FFXII.

I too am used to JRPG, and I find half of the characters here to be annoying. Most likely has something to do with the characters being stereotypes

there have been worse characters but they were incredibly generic and derivative and sometimes that's worse then being flat out bad.
i kind of liked the overall plot of the game but prob the most forgettable characters of the jrpgs i have played

Hehe I hated them. But then again I'm pretty much disliking the game and what it's trying to be all together. Not my cup of tea at all. Will force myself through the thing but might not stick around for the platinum.


Back on topic though, even though this game has a pretty bland bunch of characters, the gameplay and some of the story parts do make up for it in my opinion. Like I said before, I found them pretty annoying but I also found SO4 overall to be a lot of fun.

I just wish the characters would be a bit better written. Along with the dialogue.
