Thanks about that comment about me ![]() Anyways, time for me to come into the discussion. Cech, Terry, and Drogba were not the reasons AVB was sacked. Cech was the probably the Chelsea player least responsible for that. He was the man always stating that AVB should be backed and actually admitted to making mistakes in games. Terry and Drogba have told the team to get up and play for the shirt the entire season. Neither of them are in their prime, Terry is still very good, but past his best, as is Drogba, who is still one of the best lone strikers in the world if he has a good mood. So really, I don't know if all the media's rumours are true. Yes, it is true that Terry was screaming from the touchline against Napoli. In some ways it made sense. Chelsea had used all 3 substitutions and Luiz was struggling to play. Terry, with all his experience, told Essien to temporarily swap places with Luiz and told Luiz to push on. Not sure if it made a difference, but I was happy that we had another guy telling us to keep concentration, keeping our belief in qualifying. As for Lamps, he is probably the guy least happy with AVB. He admitted not having an "ideal relationship" with him. But AVB didn't help himself, did he? Kicked Alex and Anelka, 2 players who I thought still had something to give to the club, to the reserves, not even inviting Anelka to Chelsea's Christmas dinner. He took out Lampard and played Meireles. If you were in Lamps place, and saw your position being taken by a Portuguese midfielder who can't pass the ball and you are the second top scorer, you can't be happy. AVB tried being the boss of everyone, trying to kick out the old guard, without having replacements. RDM has the players are performing well, so he's letting the old guard have their freedom. At the end of the day, a win is all that matters. Last edited by SAAD80GB; 03-17-2012 at 08:59 PM. |

just how bad a choice of words it that.Horrible to hear about Muamba, sounds like he's coming good now though thankfully. Certainly puts football in perspective. Hopefully he can make a quick and full recovery, and be back playing in no time. Fantastic result for us today, top of the league temporarily too until those jammy gits at Soton and Wet Spam got late goals . Top win and performance from us though which is all good
