The Knicks really screwed themselves for the next handful of years by trading for Melo and locking all their cap space into 3 players (Melo, Amare, Chandler).

I'd love to see LeBron not win a championship, however, that seems very unlikely. With Melo, I guarantee that he wont.
knicks are just turning into 1 man team with melo even thought they could easily use stoudemire and chandler in much more plays they just give ball to melo.

I've a feeling that we'll see Deron and Dwight in white and blue jersey in the near future. Dirk, Dwight, Deron (triple D)

Though, If Dwight goes to Lakers, he won't be the main option, and there's that Shaq's footsteps crap aswell.
And If Dwight goes to Mavs, there's also Dirk, meaning its Dirk's team. But it certainly is better than the Lakers, assuming the Magic doesn't care about Bynum
If Dwight goes to the Nets, he'll have his own team. Though it will only happen is Brook is healthy.

In the end, its pretty much what the Magic wants:
Chicago offers the best pieces, but there is no guarantee that Dwight will sign an extension.
Lakers can offer Bynum, and perhaps Gasol. If Magic wants draft picks, they can involve another team, sending Gasol to that 3rd team
Mavs have many attracting 1-year contract players. Although I doubt Otis is interested in any of the Mavs pieces. I can only see Dwight becoming a FA, and doing a sign and trade to the Mavs. Infact, the ONLY way for Mavs to get Dwight and Deron is via FA
Nets Without a healthy Brook, there's no way the trade will happen. A really tough situation for the Nets.
Heat? Although UNLIKELY, HEAT will definitely win NOT1-NOT7, BUT MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS, if they can either trade one of their TWO supertars for Dwight. It's a bitch trade, but ti'll be for the best.

As for Deron's preffered destinations...
Knicks Knicks cannot afford him. The ONLY way for that to happen is to either trade Amare or Carmelo
Mavs The ONLY way for them to get D-will is only through FA
Lakers Money is the issue here. D-will going to LA is possible — just possible. It's kinda hard to think of scenarios.

The Mavs certainly have it easy.

Edit: And can someone assasinate Derek Fisher please!!! He's the only player in the NBA that I really want to get injured. There are moments when he falls akwardly on the ground (me and my brothers celeberate xD), but he just shrugs him off as if nothing happend. He's one sturdy sunovabitch!
Might want to add Artest as well

Why go to the Lakers if he wants to win a ring, we just crushed your ass with Dwight not on his game .

11-4 one of the best records in the league right now so I doubt any trade will happen mid-season unless we get something spectacular. Anderson is looking better, Reddick is shooting great and Nelson is finally back to form.

I like our chances this year

I don't know why he would — But he could!

It doesn't have to be the Lakers, you know. I've said this before, and Im gonna say it again : The Mavs have the biggest chance of acquiring Dwight and Deron And I think Otis SHOuLD gamble on Dwight. After the season, they can just look for a possible sign and trade, and if Howard leaves, he'll end up taking a 30m paycut.

And Yes, the Lakers are pathethic right now. Our offense is crap. Why the f*** is Pau waiting on the 3-point line? Why are we always doing lots and lots of jumpshots? Why do I, nowadays, want Kobe to dominate the ball instead of passing to the bigs? And why is our team, who BOAST defense, can't defend at all? And why the F**k is MWP (Mitch Wave Please) and Fisher stil playing?

Besides, I don't want Dwight. The Lakers will gut their team to get Dwight. What Lakers need is a point guard. Bynum, even if he was embarassed by Howard, is still the second best center in the league. It's not like Howard has always dominated him every game. There were games in the previous seasons where Bynum shuts Howard down.

Goddamn turf toe. Props to the Bulls, though. Their chemistry is unbelievable and they seem to have an endless supply of good point guards. Mike James was doin' his thing.

Its easy for you or me to say Otis should gamble but in reality, I don't think Otis has any other realistic options aside from trading Howard unless Howard states he will stay with the Magic.

On Lakers offense, the culprit is pretty obvious. They have no wing players. Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum and not a single decent wing player to help them out. On D, they're not bad at all considering the short training camp. Their D is definitely better than average I think. Definitely not good enough to hold a speedy team like Miami in a 7 game series but good enough to make it past the 2nd round playoffs I think.

I like the Howard trade even if it means losing Bynum and Gasol. The fact is Kobe is getting old and Griffin and Co are only getting better. Lakers need to quickly find the heir to Kobe and thats Dwight. The one guy that can not only ensure that the Lakers are the LA Team but also win games by himself.

Yes, short term to win a championship with Kobe is to get a PG(any PG really lol) and a wing player. But long term, Howard is worth losing Bynum(injuries and questionable maturity) and a accomplished player like Gasol.
And why is Artest getting minutes? Good question..... Maybe coach thinks Artest will realize how bad is play is and get motivated to get better? Don't know.

Flip Saunders is out as Wizards coach. I'm not that surprised it happened. That team needs a coach will hold those young players in check as they are talented, but dont know how to play as a team.

While the HC will always share responsibilities when getting fired for a poor season, I feel like the players deserve the majority of the blame for this season. Saunders is a damn fine coach and he did everything to make this season a good one. The players simply failed him. Just like the Kings players failed Westphal.

Really, is there a coach that can get anything out of this current Wizards team? I think not.

And while we're talking about the Wizards firing Flip, why does Grunfeld still have a job as GM?

Especially not if he can only outscore a rookie by only 1 point. Even if it is a rookie who's not playing like a rookie.

What a monster 4th quarter by Bosh against the Cavs though - 17 points, giving him 35 total.
