Chipper Jones thinks Brian McCann is the new face of the Braves | MLB.com: News

Well. I knew it would happen, I've known it for awhile now. Brian McCann is our new Captain. Captain McCann, has a ring to it I suppose.

And then Chipper fucked his knee up and is on the DL again. He'll be out until probably April 13th. I suppose he should just retire. As much as I hate to say it, his days of being the best on the team is over.

And Bobby Jenks got a DUI? Jesus, I wonder how much beer he has to drink to get drunk? Two 24 packs?

On the topic of MLB, where do you guys buy your tix?

I buy from a local ticket resaler in chicago for my sox tix, but is there somewhere cheaper?

Being an A's fan, i never have a problem getting a ticket any where in the stadium directly from the team page.

Why does the team need a captain? Most teams do just fine without designating one. I don't think Chipper is a captain anyway right? The only teams I know of that have them is the Yankees and White Sox.

The fact that it was a hit and run is worse. Joba, Miguel Cabrera, and Choo were all fucking morons. This thing with Jenks though tells me he was in absolutely no shape to be behind the wheel and could've killed somebody.

I guess it's because teams don't want to assign one, and make someone else who wants to be captain feel bad. But every team has that one guy, who is the obvious leader of the team.

Chipper has never officially been deemed captain, but it's obvious he is. Like The Rays and Longo, Red Sox and Pedrioa, The Cardinals when they had Pujols, The Mets and David Wright (Now at least, might have been Reyes before), The Rockies and Todd Helton, Mariners and Ichiro, Rangers and Micheal Young, and I guess The Tigers with Verlander (This idk, could be Miggy).

It's bad that Jenks hit someone. But I think Derek Lowe's DUI might be one of the worst, he was racing someone on a busy street while drunk. Of course he didn't wreck or anything, but it could have been worse than Jenks.
