Default I have a PSP 1000 with a Broken Screen

So yeah, as the topic title says that what a have. It turns on and such, but the screen is completey done. What's the easiest way to fix? I called Sony 2 years ago and they said they would charge me 100 bucks to fix it...Cheaper way maybe? I'm not the most amazing do it myselfer, but I'm decent. Let me know.

Nice video tut also
Sony PSP 1000 LCD Screen Replacement Parts SHARP - PSP

or

But from what you said (bold and underlined) it might be cheaper overall if you get Sony to fix it. I know back in the day I bought a flip top for my ps2 and ended up messing up a ribbon and cost about double the flip top cost

Here is what i searched

Well I've decided to hold off on this even though I already started the process, and I'm gonna trade my PS3 Controller and $20 bucks my friend owes for his PSP2000. It's my only controller , so now I'm on the hunt for a new ps3 controller haha.

Wait, you give him the controller and don't make him pay back $20 he owes you, and he gives you a PSP2000? Is that the deal? If so, that's pretty sweet for you.

As for a new controller, Amazon has them for just $43 right now. You can also get free shipping, but if you are trading now rather than later, it's not a good idea because you'll be without a controller for about a week. Here's the link if you want it:

I already have it to him. I let him borrow it and gave him the choice of keeping it if he gave me the psp. And I'm not really too much in the market for a Dualshock, I had one and sold it.
