Well choke he did! Dr. Robotnik must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew I beat the game (luck). It took all of 18 seconds, thank god that is over.

I'll have to try your method Shaha44, but the PS button sounds like the simple way to make this happen. Evaluate and place.

it puts you on the hardest difficulty which basically allows you to do nothing but allow the computer to get overwhelmed and really screw up. I beat it on my third try in 11 seconds! I didnt know what had happened because I wasnt even paying attention but I guess he couldnt get the combos he wanted and stacked one big collumn straight up. I hope this helps. There were no saves needed! And yes, I feel like a master beating Chuck Norris' time.

thanks for this, I did it on my second attempt without any fuss. I suck at MBM and really didn't think I'd be able to get that trophy

Doesn't work at all for me, tried dozens of times. This strategy is too much luck-based and can't be recommended in my opinion.

That is what I also thought at first, it took me about a hour and half doing it this way. Just keep on trying and eventually Dr. Robotnik should choke and take care of himself. I tried beating M.B.M. by pressing the PS button and it just wasn't working for me, so instead I went this route and Dr. Robotnik failed in 18 seconds!

Just make a save right at the beginning before any beans have fallen, when you lose just reload the save and try again. It sounds tedious, and yes it is all luck based, but just keep trying. Dr. Robotnik should eventually forget how to play the game. Like I said, it took me about a hour and half straight of trying this method.

so i was browsing the RE5 forums and i decided id come here to see if lots of people was feeling my pain (yatta! being the one holding me back from plat) and i saw this post did as you said and took 3 tries lol i can now say i have plat on this game because of you so thanks for posting this.

Managed to beat the Dr on my 4-5th go.

Used the code for last level on easy mode. It was total luck to be honest, I was just trying to work out what colours were coming next and then realised that the Dr was upto his eyeballs!

Platinum!

I've been playing this f***ing game for hours now. No matter what I do, I can't beat it. What makes me more angry is that I'm quite good at puzzle games, been playing them for more than 20 years. This s**t game reminds me a puzzle in 7Th Guest (the microscope with the jellys one) that was impossible to solve if you had a computer with a fast processor (which at that time would be something like 200mHz).

Robotnik NEVER forgets how to play. On the contrary, even if I make an spectacular combo and flood him barely to the top, the f***er ALWAYS manages to get the right gems in the right place. In fact I think this is one of those old games that cheat badly against the players, there's no way someone could play with a skill like that. Even more, his combos seem to drop ten times more jewels in my space than mine's in his.

Tried the easy code. Tried the hardest code. Tried to not do anything and reload dozens of times waiting for him to fail. Tried to play straight. Tried to play using the PS for pause. Nothing works. Don't know what to do anymore.

Maybe it's my f***ing copy, has anyone managed to get the glitch with an Asian copy?


*** EDIT *** Got it finally, after an epic 40-minute battle. Did it the good old traditional way as the cheat didn't work. Hope you're all luckier than me, this trophy annoyed the hell out of me.

tried on easy for a bit...failed. tried the hardest, was impossible. so i went back to trying easy over and over again along with pressing the ps button. almost failed this one round, but landed a combo with linked into 5 other combos crushing that stupid robotnik...keep at it and eventually you will win. i recommend easy and ps button

I'm so sick of this trophy. It's the only one that I'm missing and I've tried the easy method with PS button and the Hardest with hoping he fails 1st. Regardless he still destroys me. I pull off a 4-5 chain on easy...oh well he has an empty board. Same thing on hardest. I haven't even come close to beating him and really can't take this game anymore. This is the cheapest unfair end boss/thing in a game.
