![]() Overview:
The Long Awaited Sequel is Here! - Introduction: The sequel fans have waited 16 years for is finally here - Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I! Featuring enhanced gameplay elements, including the classic Sonic Spin Dash, and the versatile Homing Attack, Sonic 4 picks up right where Sonic & Knuckles left off. Sonic 4: Ep 1 is another love it or hate it game, because the physics are completely way off compared to the original Sonic Genesis games. But with beautiful looking stages including Casino Street Zone in HD, you can enjoy the game 'til the end, ignoring the horrible physics. Questions & Suggestions: I no longer accept any questions and suggestions here. Create new threads in this forum if you want to get out tips. ![]() 1 - Complete all Acts via Score Attack Mode Score Attack Mode is the default mode you'll be playing. Simply complete all acts, including all bosses. You'll unlock E.G.G Station Zone after completing all 4 zones. Then complete E.G.G Station Zone to complete the episode. You should unlock "The Story Begins" , "Crush Dr. Eggman" and "All Stages Cleared" at least in the end.2 - Complete all Special Stages Finish all seven special stages to get all seven Chaos Emeralds. See trophies, "The First Chaos Emerald" and "Super Sonic Genesis" for more information. Try to get "Ring Collector" if you can.3 - Second Playthrough via Time Attack Mode Switch to Time Attack Mode (Press in Stage Select) and replay all acts in this mode with Super Sonic. See "Golden Flash" for more information. Try to get "Speed's My Game" also if you can. You also have to do all bosses and special stages again in this mode.Do not do E.G.G Station Zone in Time Attack yet. Hold that for now. 4 - Untouchable & Mopping Up Get these trophies first, "Speed's My Game" , "Immortal" , "Ring Collector" and "Enemy Hunter" . Go to these respective trophies in the trophy guide for more information on how to get them.Once done, the only two trophies you have to get are Untouchable and Contender. Make sure you are on Time Attack Mode and go to E.G.G Station Zone and aim for the Untouchable trophy. See its trophy in the trophy guide for more information. Once you finally got the trophy, go straight to the leaderboards and upload all your scores to get your last trophy, "Contender" .

![]() The Story Begins ![]() Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE, ACT 1. A very simple trophy. Nothing else I can say for this, but for you to just clear the first stage. Crush Dr. Eggman ![]() Defeat a boss for the first time. After completing Splash Hill Zone: Act 3, the next act you have to complete is to defeat Dr. Eggman. Simply defeat him and the trophy is yours. NOTE: There are other ways to get this trophy, like going to Casino Street Zone and defeat him there straight after completing the first Splash Zone act, but what I said above is highly recommended, especially if you are following my roadmap. The First Chaos Emerald ![]() Acquire a Chaos Emerald. Collect and at least have 50 rings before you finish the stage. You'll see a massive gold ring after the clear stage billboard. Jump towards the massive gold ring and go through the middle of it. That would take you to the special stage. Simply clear it and the trophy is yours. Be careful, you'll get booted off the stage if you hit the "!" marks or you run out of time. If you are running out of time or see yourself getting towards the "!" block, quickly press Pause and hit Retry. Enemy Hunter ![]() Defeat 1,000 enemies. You will not get this trophy on your first playthrough. Don't worry if you don't have it by the end of the first playthrough because you must do a second playthrough anyway (via Time Attack) to get 100%. Simply defeat any enemy you come across, much easier with Super Sonic. Golden Flash ![]() Clear all Acts as Super Sonic. You must go through every act again (excluding bosses and special stage) and clear it as Super Sonic. During an act, make your ring counter reach 50, then press/hold the and buttons together to transform. Again you *must* clear the stage with Super Sonic, so try not to die or run out of time! (Yes when you transform, like in Sonic Genesis games your ring counter will go down by 1 per second).NOTE: You MUST have 7 Chaos Emeralds in order to transform to Super Sonic. All Stages Cleared! ![]() Defeat the final boss and view the ending. You must complete all acts and bosses with Sonic. The E.G.G Station Zone is hidden until you complete all 4 zones. Simply defeat Dr. Eggman with all his creations (Be warned! The final boss WILL be very difficult to defeat when playing it for the first time!) and after the credits roll, the trophy will unlock. Contender ![]() Upload your recorded scores and clear times for all stages. You MUST upload all your scores from BOTH Score Attack and Time Attack modes. I recommend to ignore this trophy until you finish your first playthrough. Your first playthrough will be recorded under Score Attack so you don't need to focus on Score Attack again. On the Stage Select Screens, hit the button to switch to Time Attack. Now you must complete the game again using this mode. Be careful, if you die you'll have to retry the stage! Once done, go to the Leaderboards and register your scores in EACH act, boss and Special Stage. Ring Collector ![]() Collect all the Rings in 'Special Stage 1' and Clear the stage. This trophy was very annoying for me, but it is doable. You must collect every single ring in Special Stage 1 and clear it. If time runs out, the trophy will not unlock. If you are running out of time or see yourself getting towards the "!" block, quickly press Pause and hit Retry. There are 2 ways to get this trophy: 1 (The Hardest Way) - If you haven't got the Emerald already, collect every ring in the stage then get the Emerald. Remember if you run out of time, it doesn't count. If you hit the "!" mark, you'll be booted off the stage (and what's worse you have to complete the act again). 2 (The Easy Way) - Ignore the rings and just complete the special stage. The special stage world will then be unlocked on your map and you can retry the stage anytime. Do the stage again, and this time collect all the rings in the stage. Once you collect all the rings, you can hit the "!" block or get the "1 UP" (that has the replaced the Emerald) to clear the stage. The trophy WILL unlock. If time runs out, the trophy will NOT unlock. Immortal ![]() Build up 99 or more extra lives. You must be thinking this is a long grind. But it's not. It's SO easy to get to 99 lives compared to the Sonic Genesis games. There are many ways to get a 1 UP: 1 - Collect 100 Rings/Clear the Stage/Find a 1 UP box - This is the hardest way, simply collect 100+ rings, finish the stage and you WILL get a final score of 10000 which the game will give you an extra life. 2 - Repeat Casino Street Zone: Act 2 - Test your luck by flipping those cards if you're lucky you can walk away with 15+ lives per run). 3 - Special Stages (NOT recommended) - Collect 50 rings and you get a 1-UP. If your final score is over 10000, you'll get another 1-UP. Super Sonic Genesis ![]() Acquire all seven Chaos Emeralds. Clear all 7 Special Stages. Collect and hold the 50 rings until you finish the stage, you'll see a massive gold ring near the clear stage billboard and you MUST jump towards it. You then must complete the stage without getting booted off. You can get booted off if you hit a "!" block or you run out of time. If you are running out of time or see yourself getting towards the "!" block, quickly press Pause and hit Retry. NOTE: Once you got the Chaos Emerald from that act, you cannot go to that same act again and get another Chaos Emerald. Example, I got my first Emerald in Splash Hill Zone Act 1. I cannot go to Splash Hill Zone Act 1 again and get another Chaos Emerald. I'll have to do another act. Speed's My Game ![]() Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE ACT 1 in less than a minute. THIS is doable with the normal Sonic the Hedgehog if you take the right route. But I ignored this trophy until I used Super Sonic. Using Super Sonic to complete the stage will make things much MUCH easier. There is a video below on how to clear the stage in under a minute if you want to use Sonic. =P

Untouchable ![]() Clear the E.G.G. STATION ZONE without taking any damage. The hardest trophy in the list. It took me 5 hours but I did it. The key to completing this is time and patience. You cannot transform to Super Sonic here as there are not enough rings. If you got a platinum in Sonic Unleashed, then you shouldn't have no problem getting this trophy right? You have to complete the whole E.G.G Station Zone without getting hit. If Sonic even ONCE lose his rings, game over - you will not get the trophy and you'll have to restart the whole stage. Restarting from a checkpoint doesn't count by the way. You HAVE to defeat Eggman without getting hit from start to finish. Here is what I did:

Some tips for untouchable.
2nd boss: The boss will not do anything until you touch the floor. When the fight starts, try to spin attack up the left wall, with any luck the boss will come to this area and just hover, you'll continue to bounce off him and the spring above. Getting 3 hits in before he changes location. When he moves away, spin attack up the right wall and then jump to catapult yourself to him for the 4th and final hit. 3rd Boss: The moment you enter the boss area head to the far right, turn and face the boss, when the pillar rises don't jump off, when it gets to the top it'll spit you back into the area, but you'll lock on for a homing attack. Use it and you get 1 hit on the boss before the fight even starts. 4th Boss: So long as you're constantly holding right, you can pass right by the first grey orb thats thrown, it'll never hit you. Allowing you to get 1 hit in without any problems. So long as you don't jump, 9/10 the next set of orbs for the second hit will be two greys. Giant orbs tend to only appear if you take your time, so don't dilly dally, get the hits in asap. Few things to remember for boss 4: * If you strike robotnik, any orbs that are out will vanish. * If you strike Robotnik just as he's finishing his throwing annimation, the orb WILL materialise and you WILL take the hit instead of robotnik. * If you strike robotnik mid throw annimation, the orb will NOT materialise. * If the orb has just left robotnik and you strike him a second later... the orb will NOT vanish, it'll remain in the area until it leaves. So watch out as you'll be pushed right back to the start and can hit the orb instead of a safe zone. * You can do a small jump dash to quickly close the gap, however, robotnik will tend to counter this by throwing odd orb combinations and giant orbs. It's best to avoid jumping until you go for the hit. Final boss: After the first incarnation of this boss, when it starts to smoke, do not attack him. Whilst the SFX sounds, he will not take any damage, you'll waste time and risk taking a hit when he surrounds himself with electricity. In rage mode... DO NOT wait for the arm to fall to the ground, homing attack it mid air. You'll send it back instantly without having to attack it 3 times on the ground, this becomes stupidly hard in the later stages when you have pulse rounds coming for you. When the final boss is in 'Rage' mode, only ever hit him 3 times when he's stunned, if you hit him 4 times he'll get into his 'dying' attack phase much earlier and cause you a much harder fight when it comes to the final stun cycle. You are best doing 3 hits per stun to avoid the dying phase of his attack until the very last strike.
