Episode II is currently under development, but no release date yet. Episode I was release on October 12, 2010 so maybe we will have eps II by fall of this year.

Sega Brand Manager Ken Balough has mentioned that "the idea is to introduce new zones [in Episode II] with things you haven't seen." He has also hinted that Episode II may have a larger budget than Episode I, due to the latter being received very well commercially.

i wish they would let sonic die out, he had his prime but now to me it just seems like it lost its touch

You don't know what you're talking about do you?

Yeah Sonic 06 was rubbish, yet ever since then the games have gotten much better over the years. Generations looks utterly stunning, I've played several demos of it (not just the PSN/XBLA demo) and each time it just feels so much better than it did before.
