Worth getting?

Though I havn't played it myself, a few on my friends list have. Most of the comments were negative.

I may rent it, I hope it is NOTHING like Silent Scope.

For me it's brilliant up until I did the bonus missions, you have to sneak through a camp, which isn't bad I did it ok until I changed to my partner and I thought what the fuck, I have to sneak through again, but this time your suppose to spot for the first character you just sent through to snipe BUT when I spotted and he sniped the alarm goes off and game over, then I thought ok, don't spot sneak by them, that didn't work either, all the guards were facing outwards except one which I crawled out of sight under him, then all of a sudden alarms are going off and game over, so this time I thought try a different way, all the guards again are facing outward except one, so I sneak by making sure he didn't see me (mind I'd already targeted all the guards show they were shown up in red on my radar) then the alarms when off when no guard was watching, so fuck this, all the guards are telepathically linked and they all have wireless alarms because not one ran to an alarm button. If I didn't see this extra missions, I would have bought the game.

Good job I rented.

to the OP:

this game is def NOT worth $30 IMO, get it used (worth 12 bucks MAX), the online can be pretty barren (and with BF3, MW3, UC3 etc on the horizion i only imagine it'll get worse), and if you're looking get easy trophies, be warned. you can read all the other threads about the glitched trophies, i'm not beating a dead horse. the SP is pretty solid, sniping mechanics are good.

agree 100%, the bonus missions totally ruined this game for me in the end, and has actually turned me off to any future City Interactive releases. (if you're not a trophy hunter it may not matter to you):

Wow that bad? well its $30 USED so i think ill wait a while before i get/rent the game.
