yeah thats my biggest criticism with the demo, they can spot you even if you lie prone over 100 meters away
another negative point was the difficulty, it seemed alittle too easy on hard and on easy mode you can basically run & gun with your sniper rifle lol.

Besides that i absolutely loved it! best next-gen sniping game hands down. But i hope in the full game stealth-gameplay will be more refined than in the demo.

Most demos are made from older builds of the games, so it's almost guarenteed that it will be more refined. But how much though, is the real question.

The hard truth is that most games change very little from demo form to the full launch title. Look at the majority of betas that have been released a month or two before launch. In reality, those were just multiplayer demos. It's unfortunate, but that's how things have been for some time now.

Back on topic with the demo, I thought it was alright. It didn't blow my mind or anything, but I thought it was rather neat. I agree with the enemy vision being too strong, but maybe it's just based on the level shown in the demo. It will be a decent enough rental for me.

One thing that kind of upset me a little was how linear it was, like it forces you to snipe your way through enemies. There was a section, the section after the first group of guards you kill, that I snuck through a building and came upon a courtyard.

Now, just across the courtyard, there's stairs with a railing heading up into a building. So I'm thinking, "awesome, I'll sneak over there, then work my way silently through the building to bypass that group of guards." But I got up the stairs and to the door undetected... then a realization hit me.

None of the doors are interactable. Here was this perfect opportunity in the level design to add some variety and player-choice towards how to deal with certain situations, and they just let it pass.

Don't get me wrong, I had tons of fun playing the demo and I still plan on buying it day one, but little things like that seem to take away from the realism of being a WW2 sniper. They didn't have silencers. So when I wipe out a patrol only to turn around the corner to see another patrol seemingly unphased by the amount of gunfire that just took place around the bend... it kind of pokes holes into the immersion of it all.

Not to mention that a lone sniper in the heart of Nazi Germany can't just snipe his way through the streets and hope to hold out. Sometimes he HAS to take the more stealthy course. I'm just wishing they let us decide when those moments are and not hold our hands a la Call of Duty.

Will download this when the store updates over here in the UK. Anyone know what time it roughly updates over here? Or is it all different?

Yup Maybe it's just this level? Who knows. Won't be picking this up day 1, but seems like a pretty fun game nonetheless.

i played the demo about 20 times already trying every custom set up

what i hate about the demo is
- none of the doors you can open ( thought it would be way cooler since this is a SNIPER game)
- cant jump through windows or over obstacles
- enemies see you like a thousands meter away
- the dude walk funky when he turns
- no really stealth part in the demo, just kill everyone

What i do like is the killcam, i had one cool drift shot got the dude right under the chin , ripe his throat out and it was fresh, i went to check out the body and you could see the damage. i found that pretty cool but sometimes the body had no visual damage even when i got a clean headshot

i recommend everyone play custom with either rookie or vet with full relastic and no HUD assist. it becomes more fun and you feel good when you catch a moving target w/ a drift shot right through his eye

so far it seem pretty good for a game coming out for 50 bucks so ima pre order it later next week
