Introduction
It‘s been eight years since Sly has been out and we welcome him back. This time Sly and his gang come bearing trophies and a platinum. This game will only take one playthrough, making the platinum that much more rewarding. Most of the trophies will come from opening the vaults, while others will come from defeating bosses. Opening the vaults will help you learn new techniques. There are no difficulty levels or trophies, making the platinum a one shot deal. Sly’s parents were Murdered by the Fiendish five so Sly ended up going to an orphanage where he met his close friends Bentley and Murray. Sly is searching for the missing parts for his family's book (Thievius Racoonus) and nothing will stop him for getting the missing pages and restoring the book. While most pages will come from opening the vaults, the rest will come from defeating bosses. Sly runs on lives alone with no health bar so getting hit once can lead to death, so watch how you make the jumps and press each button.

Step One
This is where the battle begins. First bring up this Bottle Locations Guide with your internet capable device. Following that link during your first playthrough will net you all the clue bottles. Please be advised that some vaults are in the beginning of the level, so you have to track back down to the beginning or just start the level over after finding all the clue bottles. The other trophies are story related and will come during your quest for the Thievius Racoonus, so there is no need to worry about how to obtain them. I have included a way to defeat each boss and the buttons you will be pressing during their battles. If you need video assistance to find the clue bottles here is a link to MyGamecube2's YouTube page. The items he finds in the video will not be the same ones you find in your game.

Note: Some of the trophies will pop up in a different location if you are going for the clue bottles and vaults before beating the game. If you have found a technique in the later chapter than the one described, the one that should have for example been in chapter 4 will be in the chapter 3. One Vault cannot be opened until you beat clockwork, so you will need to go back and then open it. I have underlined the level in each chapter that you will earn each non story related trophy, whether it be a technique or a blueprint. You will find a blueprint in the third level you play in each chapter.

Step Two
There shouldn’t be a step two, but if you missed a few bottles and trophies, you can go back to each Map to collect anything you may have missed via the hideout. Happy hunting.

Collect all clue bottles in any level
There are 20-40 bottles in each section of every chapter of the game. The bottles are made of green glass with a white letter poking out of the top. There is a question mark on the bottle as if it were a label. You will find them spinning around in circles in fixed locations. You will find your first one in the first mission after the prologue. All you have to do is find all the bottles in one section of the chapter, so if you play through the section A Stealthy Approach and find all 20 bottles the trophy will pop. Use this FAQ to find any bottles you may have missed Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Clue Bottle Location FAQ - IGN FAQs -- Thanks 8BitArtist.

The following video I have included shows you the locations of every clue bottle in the first level. Credits to mygamecube2 for making it.

There are two locations in the game that have the dive technique in their vault. A Stealthy Approach in Raleigh's area and A Cunning Disguise in Raleigh's area. Please see Greedy Raccoon for the locations of the clue bottles you need to find the code in order to get inside the vault in each level.

also, try to design it so that you CAN get it all in one playthrough, and be as spoiler-free as you can about it (level names and character names are ok, boss names can go either way, depending on the name/boss. plot points are definite spoilers)

don't assume that it would take 2, make it so that it doesn't!
