GODCHILD1020
Sly 2: Band Of Thieves Trophy Guide & Roadmap By: Godchild1020 Overview Estimated difficulty: 2.5/10 Estimated time to platinum: 14-20hrs Offline trophies: 36 (21 , 9 , 5 , 1 ) Minimum number of playthroughs required: 1 Do cheats affect trophies?: Yes,only the story related trophies. Do difficulty trophies stack?: No difficulty trophies Number of missable trophies: None, You can go back to each chapter after the game Glitched trophies: None Introduction This is the second game from the creators of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus. When we first left Sly, he had defeated Clockwerk and the four other members of the fiendish five. Sly's adventure this time has him and his gang going after the Clockwerk parts so that they are not put together again and cause mayhem in the world again. This is a much needed improvement upon the first game, giving you the option to run with the button and having a chapter screen instead of using the van/hideout as a hub to start a mission or a chapter. This takes action/adventure to another level compared to the first one. You are in an open world game within each episode having the option to start a mission when we feel like it and leaving the bottle collecting to a single episode, not different levels within an episode. You can still collect bottles in each episode for an extra technique. This time around you are more of a thief as you can now pickpocket coins and sell items on the ThiefNet, lurk from the roof and hit thugs from the skies making this Sly game one of a kind. Step One The first step is to play the game as normally and hold off on buying any items from the ThiefNet until you have obtained the Loot trophy; to collect 1,500 coins. You need to have that many coins in your possession at one time. After you achieved that trophy you can proceed to buy the specific items from the ThiefNet that corresponds to the specific trophy. I would advise using this link to find the clue bottles if you want to get that out of the way during you first chapter. This time around you get to pickpocket thugs and take coins/rare items from them, so I advise to do that as often as you can so you can collect as many coins as possible. Find the valuables located around the map in each chapter to net more coins and sell them on the ThiefNet. Note: This is a great method for purchasing power ups/gadgets. Play the game straight to the end and buying only the necessary power ups/gadgets that are required for each mission. (You will get a message on your screen when there is a gadget/power up that is required for a specific mission.) Load up an older episode (maybe episode 7). Proceed to purchase the specific item until you have no more money, then exit to the XMB (Not to the main menu of the game). Load up the game, rinse and repeat until you obtain the trophies associated with the power up/gadget. Thanks for the tip king_of_kickz. Step Two There shouldn’t be a step two, since most of the trophies will come from playing the story and buying the specific items from the ThiefNet. Happy hunting. GODCHILD1020
Unlikely Bandit Unlock all Sly Cooper and the Band of Thieves Trophies You will earn this trophy as soon as you obtain the others. Art Snob Replace a painting undercover Story Related. Cannot be missed. Spoiler This will pop in episode one after you bug Dimitri's office. Bottle Capped Collect 20 clue bottles Please see Soda Popped for more information. All the bottles can be found if you just listen for the noise they make. Thanks Eric-B14. Soda Popped Collect 30 clue bottles I would advise using this link to find the first 30 clue bottles in the first level. It would save a lot of time in the next chapters. The clue bottles can be found throughout the game, but with a game like this it's best to get it out the way so you don't lose track of the story. You will have to collect all bottles in one level. Here is a video to help you if you want video assistance. Credit to Neonfoxletsplays for making the video. The paraglider is required to finish the game (Sly has to use it starting from episode 5). Get away (The chase is inside the museum and Murray is right behind you followed by Carmelita) and complete the prologue to obtain this trophy. Learn To Fox Trot Dance with Carmelita You will earn this trophy at the end of the episode 2. Spoiler Before you can dance with this fox, you will need to tease her by dancing with another woman. Bentley is completely immune to sleep gas, so he can walk through his own snooze bombs without fear. Press to assign the bomb to a button. Artful Dodger Purchase the Combat Dodge from ThiefNet To purchase this ability, you will have to go to the hideout, move to the left to Bentley and go into the ThiefNet to purchase. Reptilian Robber Defeat Dimitri Mission related and cannot be missed. This is a straight forward battle with Dimitri. [spoiler=Robber]Use the green goo containers for cover to get close to Dimitri, while he is shooting at you. After you have dealt enough damage to him he will do a fast moving attack to move away from you and go to another side of location you are fighting at. He will start shooting at you again until you get close to him again. Watch out for his melee attacks when you are close to him. Watch his spin attack and mini uppercut moves. Jump attacks work great when you want to attack him and they do more damage. Once the battle is over Dimitri will run to his printing press and Sly will hit him from behind. Press to raise the saws in the narrow slots. Press to drop the logs (look for their shadows to see where the logs will fall). There are many combinations to use while fighting Jean Bison. GODCHILD1020
Loot! Collect 1,500 coins You must have all 1,500 coins once. So I would advise not to purchase anything until you have obtained this trophy. If you are having trouble rounding up the required coins for the moves, I suggest either finding the rare loot items hidden around each episode, or go pickpocketing for items as they sell for a decent bit of change and the enemies carry better loot for you to pickpocket as the episodes progress. You will know when a person has a rare item they pocket will shine bright. Canada is the perfect place to pickpocket for rare items and finding the rare items around the map. Tick-Tock Defeat Clock-La Mission Related and cannot be missed. Spoiler You will start the fight off in a helicopter, with Carmelita as your pilot. Shooting Clock-La is the only way to damage her. There is no way to dodge her attacks, so it's best to shoot the missiles she shoots at you. Missiles Missiles with an orange flame behind will drop with a few shots. A cutscene comes up and you will be able to proceed to the next and hopefully last trophy; Opening Clock-La's Mouth. Thanks Kirbydude385 for the Video. Remote Trigger Purchase the Trigger Bomb from ThiefNet To purchase this ability, you will have to go to the hideout, move to the left to Bentley and go into the ThiefNet to purchase. This is Bentley's ability. This power up is available in episode 1 for 200 coins. Please hold off on buying this power up until you have earned the Loot trophy. A manually thrown item, the trigger bomb is a remotely detonated version of Bentley's standard time bomb, plus it can be tossed. After a trigger bomb is thrown out, press the button again to detonate it. Trigger bombs will stick to most surfaces, but they will automatically explode if they fall into water. One trigger bomb may be thrown out at a time. Press to assign the bomb to a button. Sneaky Purchase the Silent Obliteration from ThiefNet To purchase this ability, you will have to go to the hideout, move to the left to Bentley and go into the ThiefNet to purchase. This is Sly's Ability. This Power up is available in episode 6 for 1300 coins. Replaces Sly's standard neck-breaking stealth kill with a terrifying warping stealth kill. The silent obliteration is much more effective because it makes his stealth kills completely noiseless. This cannot be removed once you buy it. Bird Dentist Use Murray's strength to open Clock-La's mouth Mission related and cannot be missed. Spoiler This is at the end of the game after you defeat Clock-La. king_of_kickz
This was my method for purchasing the upgrades needed for the trophy because I just played the game straight to the end and purchased the required ones for the specific missions so I ended the game with about 4600 coins. So I loaded back Chapter 5 in the safe house and purchased what I needed for the trophies and if i didnt have enough coins for another upgrade I needed I would quit to the xmb and continue to purchase a different 1 till I got all the trophies for upgrades because the game doesnt save after you purchase something as long as u dont exit out to the main menu. This works for 2 &
