So I take It, because of the Figures, this game wouldn't be ideal for rental...

I wanna try this but since I know you need the little action figure things to play it I take it it wouldn't be a game to rent unless the place you rent it from offers those too. However I highly doubt it.

Can someone who has played this already give me some pros and cons? I'd rather hear from a user on here than a so-called "professional" reviewer.

I'm deciding if I wanna get this or not.

Bought it as part of the Toyrsus 3 for 2 deal. Got ps3 camera, Move controller and this. Spure of moment thing, not like me but had to try it. Pure genuis whoever made these. For kids, can take toys to friends house and play on Ps3 or wii or Ds or Xbox. Toys themselves store thier levels, powers upgrade, money. On your console you have story mode that you play through and thats stored on system.

Each toy is different, powers different, how they play different to extent. To me, i play alot of harder games for trophies and cause im a gamer. This is one of those relaxing games that is very easy plat, save one trophy! And even thats not bad if you got 2 people and spam gill. Have bought a couple extra characters and i find playing with GF enjoyable just finding secrets and level up new characters from time to time.

It reminds me of Gauntlet Legends or even a kiddy version of Diablo. Its very enjoyable game. If it wasnt for the different toys and having to buy Portal, i would say this is a Rent only. Due to fact they have 32 !!!! characters you can purchase , with hopes of DLC later on due to shear explosion this game has went at stores, You cant find ANY extra characters in stores at moment where i live. Litterally 3 walmarts, toysrus, 3 gamestops, target, bestbuy in town, ALL OUT .. sure they got game with starter characters but no extra ones, sold out. So i guess if you have kids, a GF, or want easy plat with hopes of more DLC with ez plat that you can relax and play game, this might be for you. If your playing it alone... maybe not so much of a buy.


P.S. Me and girl play about once every other night now that we beat it. Play a level or 2 just to explore things we missed, find treasures, hats and power cards just to reach 100% in game. We are around 47% now. Some parts can only be reached by owning right element skylander, we lack a fire, earth and undead, so we cant go to those areas in the different levels. Have to buy 3 more characters and go reply those areas later. None of this is needed for plat, just fun.

The "DLC" comes in the form of the adventure packs. There's four planned so far (two out already), but I'm sure I read somewhere that the game is programmed in such a way that implementing further stuff wouldn't be a problem.

I know there are add on packs, the boat and crypt, neither ive bought. But thats like one zone, neither with trophies. I thought i had read there is gonna be actual DLC comming out but no talk of trophies or not, not just single zone expasion packs you get with buying toy in store, actual DLC. Gotta remember where i read that at.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Portal is needed to play, I haven't tried it without it. I imagine if they plan to add trophies later for DLC, it'd be worth buying. I only got the game though, I didn't get any figures, didn't really see any I cared for at Target. I want the fancy one they say is a "Target Exclusive" but it's apparently online only, I dunno why they would advertise it in store but ah well.
