well i feel so silly for asking but i really dont know lol right first off will my guitar from world tour work on rock band and second the dlc on the store is that for the first or second game ? if i buy the first game can i get dlc ? thanks peeps lol

You can buy DLC no matter which Rock Band you have. Let's say you have RB1 and buy DLC, that will then transfer and be usable on RB2, you can also buy a transfer "license" where the RB1 disc songs will be available on RB2.

As far as the guitar it is supposed to work with RB2, I'm not sure about RB1 though.

i was just looking on the store at all the dlc and there is so much i want and you can pick up rock band 1 cheap these days so i will be looking for this thanks

There was a patch released last September that made GH guitars work with RB, but the GH drums don't work unfortunately.

Guitar Hero controllers do work with Rock Band 2, not sure about RB1 but it might.

And all DLC are for both games.

Hmm that compatibility thing is a little old or incorrect.

I have guitar hero: world tour guitar, drums and microphone, and all of it works with Rock Band 2. It won't work with the first game, but will with the second game.

The ONE difference that is crucial is that the guitar hero controller does not have "solo" buttons on it so you can't get the trophy for getting all the notes using the solo buttons.

Also, guitar hero drums have an extra symbol to hit (5 buttons to hit in guitar hero, only 4 in rock band 2), so by buying the guitar hero drums you're covered for both guitar hero and rock band 2.

Hmm I'm fairly certain I've read that the GH:WT guitar cannot be used to gain the flawless guitar solo trophy in Rockband 2...

Can anyone confirm?

It can't. The solo buttons on the GH guitar don't work for Rockband 2.
