Ridge Racer Delayed?

One of online shopping (mightyape.co.nz), they have changed the date from 28th march to 24th may. Meaning the game have been delayed?

yea i was looking forward to this game havent played ridge racer in a long time

The online store is probably going by the Namco USA announce that said it's going to be out "later 2012". The official EU release is still March 30th.

Namco really screwed it all up though. The reasoning was "to pack the disc with features that will truly make the game sing". So now US people are kinda pissed that it's delayed indefinitely, and I'd be surprised if EU people weren't a little agitated that apparently they are getting an inferior and incomplete game.

Funny though, several US sites (like amazon) still show it releasing next week...

Then why the long US delay? If I want it I'll just import the damn thing. It's completely useless. I utterly hate devs/publishers that stagger release dates anything more than a week. Deserve a swift kick to the family jewels.

Honestly I dunno where they even got the idea to announce the US release to be pushed back.

As far as I know there isn't going to be any delay and the game is out in a week. The US version isn't getting any extra features either so I see no point in keeping it from you guys. Gotta say I am curious to see how the publisher handles this.

I preordered this one, so should be only a couple of days left. No message of delayed release from the shop I preordered from.

My area only seems to have xbox 360 copies, no playstation 3 copies; which is really weird. Even gamestop.com, as I'm typing this, has the xbox 360 version, but still lists the playstation 3 version as releasing today, but still in preorder.

I talked to some GameStop and Best Buy employees and the general consensus seems to be that the 360 version is out today and the PS3 version ships tomorrow. One of the guys I know pretty well at BB said they should have it by Friday.

That being said, rumor has it that it will already be on sale for 49.99 at GameStop starting tomorrow. Not sure if it applies to both console versions a though.

Oh and this is all for US. Ignore us EU peeps

And the entire namco marketing department should be fired lol
