mirrors edge Review:
overall score: 8 - Good

story: faiths sister kate has been framed for murder of pope and requests that she finds the cause and person who framed her with help from merk faith investigates and interigates people to find the cause and person who set faiths sister up while avoiding attempting arrests from blues

Gameplay: mirrors edge is a free-running game where you move across rooftops avoiding to be shoot down by blues known as the games cops when moving around in mirrors edge the game always feels like a stop and start situation on your 1st playthrough when trying to figure out where to go while enemies known as blues shot your endlessly the games way of trying to push your forward in a fast manner thats the thing i dont like about mirrors edge there is no possible way of knowing where to go straight away on your 1st playthrough but i like that there is lots of different ways of approaching things that can either slow down or make your time faster and also put you on a spot on the leaderboard when doing speedruns of the chapters
which can be unlocked by completing the game once hard difficulty is also unlocked by doing this and disables the use of runners vision and increases damage done runners vision is objects that are located in red which indicate only one way of getting past certain sections of the level you'll need this when it comes down to your 1st playthrough but when playing again on hard the game gets more challenging and encourages you of finding your own routes of getting past particular sections of the game the game has 9 chapters which if speedrunned right can take just under an hour to complete the game also has a time trial mode which is racing on selected courses and again finding your own routes to beat other players times on the leaderboard this mode also has 3 types of stars: 3 stars, 2 stars, and 1 star which can be gotten by completing the course under a set time limit i found this course to be very challenging and fun although there is alot of good aspects to this game that will keep you coming back for more the combat is horrendus you press the triangle button and 90% of the time you get your ass kicked because the combat doesnt work like it should and feels stiff this leads me to want to avoid combat as much as possible in the game because i know its going to be horrible one more thing to note the game has slow-mo Reaction time which can only be triggered by running for 30 seconds- 1 minute pressing the triangle button (correct me here if im wrong please) and slowing down time for 10 - 15 seconds which is good for hard parts of the game you dont know how to get through and gives you more of a chance of succeding ive also come across hidden things that game didnt tell you could do but you can such as air fingering side-ways boost and the ability to reflect off long pipes there is also there is also 3 bags per level as optional collectibles you can pick up

Controls:the game controlls are usually good despite the big problem with combat when moving faith about you have to hold down the left analoque stick whichever way you want to go and this can cause a big thumb-ache by holding it down for too long and when going around corners you usually have to change the camera angle by holding down the right analoque stick in the right direction which can also be slightly awkward

Graphics: when ever you see a loading sign most times you have to pause until it goes away otherwise the game will crash and you'll have to restart the ps3 system only to see your save file of mirrors edge has been corrupted one minor issue ive encountered is sometimes when you want faith to do something like wallrun or jump over something she'll have a mind of her own and mess it up somehow the cutscenes in mirrors edge look like rejected commercials for the game and arent meroable in anyway and you'll most likely forget about these cutscenes and ive noticed that occasionally when trying to grip onto ziplines your automaticaly going flying through the sky and die

sound: the sound while playing mirror's edge will come from merk who will tell you your objectives at the start or warn you in telling you to hurry up on particular sections you may be stuck on mainly while blues are quick on your track the blues will talk main words are freeze like any normal cop would say faith doesnt talk in the game only in the cutscenes dialoque which you dont really know whats going on anyway the sound may have occasional outages for a few seconds

Replay Value: the game has alot of replay value especially when trying to beat high scores on the leaderboard or enjoying an awesome course however id liked to see a real mutiplayer mode implemented as mirrors edge is a game that is definitely worthy of it

my Personell Verdict: Mirror's Edge is a free running game which is still a very new Genre to Gaming and enjoyable over all although the cutscenes and story is not anything to get excited about and you may experience the occasional problem or issue or definitly the big problem with combat which is something that ruins the game for me mirrors edge is still a very fun and challenging game and it brings something new and fresh to the Gaming Genre 8/10

Naughty bear episode 9 dlc review: if you've played naughty bear then you now how badly this game handled and the many negative reviews that were met with it upon its release the newly Released episode 9 DLC is the second piece of downloadable content aside from episode 8 if your craving for more naughty bear or want to know what happens next then hold on for a second and read this review before deciding on your purchase

the story isnt deep just like the other episodes Pirates upon the summoning of Giggles have come to the island in search of buried treasure under naughty's hut and are going to attempt to dig it up using the Treasure Map Naughty has to now stop the plan from going forward

the DLC has 4 new challenges with one main episode in which you must score a certain amount of Naughty points to get a Bronze Silver Gold or Platinum Cup this involves Sabotaging Destorying Scaring killing Combo's and high score mutiplier's Etc. by doing basically anything Naughty the Game has you killing and scaring Normal Bears with pirate bears mixed in using various Strategies which in turn are used to score more Naughty Points and get higher score Mutiplier's the Huge array of Glitches and Freezing problems are still not fixed in this DLC pack and the game still has the same Gameplay Elements and narrater but it does come with new Costumes and 6 Additional Trophies for any Trophy Hunters to collect the challenges consist of Killer in which you must kill every bear Insanity in which you must drive every bear insane Top Hat in which all Bears have Ray-Guns and hats on there heads and Speedrun in which you must complete the level under a set time limit once you pick this DLC up there isnt any Replay Value since you'll want to just complete the episode and even with the platinum and gold cups which are Easy to achieve you wont want to play it again you may argue that the leaderboard ranking will make you replay it more but this gets boring and annoying really quickly sure trophies may Extend the longetivty but only for a couple of hours of Repettive work all in all why not just watch DLC Episodes on youtube if your that Desperate?

TV Show king review:
TV Show king is a psn title and i picked the game up for a cheap price of 79p the game is basically another trivia based game were you answer Questions from a selection of 4 and you have to get it right the fastest to score more money the amount of money you mounted up while be added to your overall score and at the end of each round you be placed on a leaderboard ranking among the other players the game gives you an option to spin a wheel of fate and what ever it lands on it does what it says its going to do Example landing on a money space will get you more money but landing on a - said amount of money space will make you loss money or the Trash can icon will make you lose your money alltogether and this will alter your score and rank at the end of the game the person who is ranked 4th always has to choose the next subject and then usually the subjects will be randomized after that and the screen will give you Generated Questions in which you have 15 seconds to read and reply with your answer there are differnet amount of difficulty levels and rounds to select from each one uping in difficulty which can either be played offline with 3 other computer bots or online with other players which will count towards your leaderboard ranking you can create costumized contestants there are 4 differnet gameplay modes:

Mafia 2 Review: in Mafia 2 you play as Vito Scalleta born in sicily in 1925 he was grown up to a poor family a few years after Vito and his family move to Empire Bay and after learning about his father being in massive dept he joins the Mafia to make money but soon the consequences of his actions start to show and he gets caught up in a few complicated affairs i wont say any thever since the game is heavily story orientated and has a fantastic story to concidence with the Gameplay

Melee Attacks Blocking and Countering are all Easy to perform you can run up behind an unsuspecting enemy and simply strangle him to the ground or kick him off a building the Fighting Mechanics work Really well as the enemies React in the same way that you do and take advantage of your previous moves

shooting is also easy to perform pull a headshot on an enemy running up infront of you and chain kills together the outcome is really satisfying and whatever you do always check the roof for hidden enemies you can easily move from cover to cover and kill enemies from there my only complaint about this is that you can't blindfire even though your enemies can

the missions are really varied and will range from you Secretly infiltrating a Mesuem to obtain illegal Ration Stamps pretending to be window cleaners or simply being put in jail and learning how to fight

the story is really good with lots of twists and a thrilling story to go through how ever not everything is topsy-tervy there's no side missions or other quests to complete meaning the only missions you'll get is the story missions you can make phone calls from phone booths eat at diners to replenish health or buy guns and clothing from various stores or sell high-end cars to Derek or crush Cars for money at Bruski's Scrapyard however health can Replenish in a matter of seconds even on the hardest difficulty clothing is only neccesary if you want to lose you wanted rating and you most likely won't need guns because the game supplies you with plenty of ammo so keeping that in mind you won't need alot of money

you can Gain Wanted Stars by doing crimes like lockpicking cars or breaking into them when police are around crashing or speeding (yes there is a speed limit in this game) these wanted levels can be Vanished by either Shaking the cops or bribing them through money when your car is running out of petrol the game prompts you to buy petrol at Gas Stations there is hardly anything else to do in the game then focus on the story missions because of these problems which is a shame for a huge open area space they could of done more with the game

i've also encountered a few bugs and glitches were i was fighting someone and my punches went through his body but didn't hit him the police system feels very un-balanced since sometimes i could be speeding at 80MPH but still not be caught or have the cops chasing me other times i was sticking to the speed light and the opposite happened

the collectibles consist of 50 Playboy Magazines and 157 Wanted posters both are really boring to collect and the game gives you no incentive to do so either other the trophies tied to them

lastly there is no free roam so you'll have to do everything you wanted to do in 1 playthrough or select to continue the game from a previous chapter which Erases current Gamesaves on Mafia 2 but doesnt effect Collectibles Found

LittleigPlanet 2 Review: Sackboy's Adventure continues threat not as if you havent played the first game the tutorials at the beggining will cover all you need to know now lets get into the story side of things an evil Vacuum Cleaner powered by the Negativitron appears over the skies of craftworld and suck's up all it's inhaitant's including sackoy by taking part in a semi-secret organisation with Larry Da Vinci known as the Alliance your mission is to destory the Negativitron and before it eliminates Craftworld

long story short littlebigplanet 2 is like every game Genre you ever played or ever will play packed into one want a sports game? simply make a basketball court and use the grabinater to pick up basketballs to score into hoops want a shooter? either use the advanced mechanics to make a realistic game like in fps advanced shooter or use the creatinater to get a shooting helmet want a side scroller platformer vs want to make a movie etc. its all covered in littlebigplanet 2 the tutorials are great and intuitive so if you suck at making levels like me you'll instantly be able to pick-up the controller and create your own unique customized level and publish it for all the world to enjoy with the new level links you can make a series of levels to be played at once and compare selected high scores on the leaderboard the sackbots are nice new addition to the franchise you can program them to do whatever you want want them to do your bidding or be scared of you want them to follow or be lethal? you got it the possibilites are endless some of the community levels i've seen completely blow me off my chair the searching options sort out the good levels from the bad ones so you can play exactly what you searched for!

you'll want to make sure to play the campaign which you'll need to collect prize bubbles and ace levels for more prize bubbles find the keys in these levels and you'll unlock fun co-operative or Versus mini-games you can play with up to 3 other online players with this game to help you which all that is fine i'm not moaning about it as it is a really relaxing and fun gaming experience but the online connectivity is laggy load up an online level and halfway through you'll constantly lose your connection and be automatically ejected back to your pod which makes a return in the game and you'll also experience some screen tearing and freezing issues but nothing a big patch can't fix right MM? the planets in the game are now customizable or though there is a still a limit of 20 levels for each game 20 for lbp1 and another 20 for lbp2 when you first start the game you are prompted to insert all your lbp1 content into lbp2 the levels are still there from littlebigplanet 1 as well as 2 but just a bit modified or adjusted this has been an extremely short review for such a remarkable game so much to do and see i'd highly recommend it to anyone!
