The best advice I can give you is to do abit of grinding, have one HG user stand infront of the idol, and the MG user has to fully scratch one enemy per round. Observe the movement of enemies because sometimes the faraway ones tend to get closer, whereas the nearer ones stay where they are, take out those that get too close or draw them away with the other HG user as bait.

Shady thugs drop light green L-shaped hexes.

No, not the straight ones, they drop slightly curved ones (yes, looking like a slanted L). They should allow you to connect past the bridge on level 4 near the town and towards the Arena.

Got through it finally after finishing up the current arena ranks/optional battles. 2nd to last room before the boss always got to me...ended up using some freeze grenades I'd never touched before to keep the dolls from attacking.

Yes, alot.. 500 compulsory battles at the Arena for a couple of trophies.

i'm kinda new to the game and need to know
how can i tell the number of side missions in each chapter
and how can i tell the difference between the main missions and sub missions please?

+ Edit : do i choose which mission is active or just do the requirement directly?

I've indicated the no. of sidequests available each chapter in the Trophy Guide, and also the name of the Story Mission in the spoiler.

Prologue CompleteA trophy for completing the Prologue.

Story Related. Unmissable. 4 Sidequests Available in this Chapter.

I kind of remember that story missions are highlighted gold in the mission screen.

For Story Missions and most Side Missions(Green), you need to see the client first for that mission to be active. You can have as many missions active and complete all of them in one go. Red missions are extermination missions and are automatically active upon receiving them.

trying to get used to the combat system, it isn't easy right now i get critical condition all the time :S

do i need to grind to level up in the first chapters cuz im in chap 1 and still levels are 7, the exp meter is kinda slow

I ended up grinding on accdient and still had some trouble...best way to go about it is to do all the open arena ranks.

Also, subquests are kind of hard to miss considering whenever you go to end a chapter, the game will inform you if you have quests left.

when people say to connect the terminals to the arena with "teal" hexes, are we talking about the straight ones?
