Trouble Deleting Game Data

Anyone else have trouble deleting there game data? I just platinumed the game and wanted to delete the game data, so i hit triangle and go to delete, waited for all of 6 minutes then i was like this isnt normal. so shut down and boot up.

went to the game data again hit triangle and info just to see the size of the file it was "calculating" that took a significant time to load upwards of 7-8 minutes. then i hit delete and it finally went through. i guess last time i didnt let it calculate all the way but still. 6-8 minutes of adding up a 2.1 gig file is long. none of the 4+ gb installs do this

oh well its gone now. wondering if anyone else had this issue with this game or another

there is already a thread about this somewhere. It takes a while to delete because of the size of the install

a) sorry for not looking deeper than page 1

b) it has nothing to do with the size of the install.. of deleted 60+ game datas since ive had the ps3, all of various sizes... many over 4gb (alone in the dark is a big one) Resistance 3 is only 1.9gb...

AND moreover..

ive rebooted my ps3 once more after "deleting it" finally. and i check the game data. theres now a file that says corrupted data in the same spot res3 was, its 1.9 gig and i tried deleting it and the ps3 is hanging..

mods you can merge this with:

Corrupted Data

or

installing for 40 min. ???

sorry

ran the restore of the file system... makes the XMB load quicker but the corrupted data is still there -__-

obviously when you hard reset the console while it's deleting/installing stuff it corrupts the data. this data can be deleted however. in R3's case this will still last 30+mins.!
