RE 4 Help Please!

I need help with RE 4. I just completed the game few days ago. Then i completed seprate ways. When i completed the game on normal said i can buy the hand gun,and,rocket launcher from merchant. I should also get the chicago type writer. But when i started the new game from continue
nothing came over from my privous game. was not able to purchase any of the weapons. I also did the mercernaries mode the game did not acknowledge of unlocking the hand cannon. Any ideas? Help please.

You have to continue your game with the ending complete save data in order to get those weapons.

I did but it did not acknowledge nothing. I made a mistake had no idea had to complete every level with every mercernary with 5 stars to get the hand cannon. Im stuck with Leon on the docks board with the chainsaw guy holding a double chainsaw any ideas what i can do to complete this with 5 stars? Leon only carrys a hand gun,and,shotgun. Please any ideas?

Try to use the shotgun against him.

Maybe the weapons don't appear because you need to start a complete New Game instead of a New Game + (I don't know)

I remember Leon was the toughest for me to 5 star. I did it on the GC and never tried again as the handcannon isn't as good as the Chicago Typewriter, or the Infinite Launcher. I wish those double chainsaw freaks were in the main game as those dudes were beast. Nothing scarier than 2 of them jumping all over the map to take you out!!!!!
