Failing strangers missions

So, i was playing a stranger mission and when i was about to finish it, i came across someone who needed help. The thing is i had to chase someone for the mission, but i lost him, and the mission now says failed. My question is, do i need to reload an old save, or do i have another chance for the mission??

If the mission said fail, then it's probably best to reload an old save file.

Nope, you can just take the mission again.

Thanks for the answer man, it would save lots of trouble later. Just to play it safe, i reloaded the autosave file, but now i know there is no big deal
