Having 4 warriors isn't a bad thing just keep in mind one of them is going to be a meat shield in the Boundary Edge for the LONG boss fights so make sure you up one of them with alot of HP and Defense as well (statistically, not skill was). Tethora... I never really used her but you'll need two formidable healers during the Boundary Edge so make sure you're ready for that (I myself had Elise and Alice on my team)

Yeah the harder creeps you'll NEED accuracy as they start to avoid alot of your hits also added to that you want your healers at the very least to have top notch speed. The massive bosses build AP fast and have deadly full field attacks so you want to be able to avoid various situations by having fast party members. So to answer your question accuracy.

Answer 2
You should be able to capture them in the Plane (the first time you encounter them) but thats the only chance you can. The act like additional party members, I forgot the benefits for possible exchanging them at the monster guild but I think it would be better to just overkill them if possible. On that note you'll have 2 significant opponents whos named will not be mentioned but when you fight them try to capture them ... just cause

P.S I'm very happy they're bringing it over and I'll be playing it around week 2 or 3 after it comes out (and powerful DLC weapons come out )

i will improve a little what i used on ROAW and now make a no healer tactic, since the ex lvl2 and 3 aways kill you so what i will have to heal? ellis is there just for the range, so i put only one sacrifical guy at the edge of the map, all the others will get behind, and ellis will make them atack with her range. to this tactic works, i let ellis with the lowest speed, so i can unleash all my atacks when everyone have good aps, and i put one character with maximun agility (more then the gods, to revive some guys and act quicker if anything goes wrong)
and without healing i can make use of the unleash all and rage skills, that improves MUCH of the damage
so as i made on the previous game, i will keep healing and etc just to build sp until everyone has 350 sp, and unleash all ultimates and executions, overkilling gods with 2kk HP

Setsuna, you got the platinum without ex steals? how you farmed rare equips and components? thats the only reason to let the crappy tetora on my team, if i can get the components easily, i will exchange her for another descendant with genius

I know the question wasn't aimed at me but that doesn't mean I can't answer it.. Right? Anyway. You don't really need to steal that many items in this game. There are only a few weapons that are rare drops and stealing them is better than killing and hoping you get it. But, really when stealing with an EX skill you want your stealer to be as low a level as possible. As if they are high and the steal fails, you may kill the enemy. I used Tetora to steal too, but I left her at the level she joined at and gave her a crappy scythe that had a light slot in to give her heal. By the time I'd gotten all the items needed for the monarch trophy she only hit level 40.

I have a general question about this game and the sequel. Are the games actually hard as described? Usually in a RPG that I have played, having a maxed out party means that the strongest bosses have become trivial. For example in recent memory, I defeated the strongest boss in Universe Trinity in less than 30s, and in Disgaea 3 I took down Baal pirates with just 2 characters. I haven't played any Record of Agarest War so I can't tell. Please enlighten me.

Yes, the game itself id hard enough, but the god lvl 900+ can kill you anytime if you misscalculate or do something wrong, since the hp limit is very low compared with the damage they can deal

i have a question regarding the "youre en good hance" trophy". in roaw1, you had to enhance one level at a time because enhancing from 1 to 5 would count as one, will that still apply to roaw0 for the trophy or can enhancing from level 1 to 5 count as 4 enhancements? hope anyone can confirm this to me
i got into the habit of enhancing 1 level at a time to be on the safe side until i finished all titles and see i need more enhancing lol

You can do it from 1 to 5 right away and it will count as 4

Hi guys, nice to see this thread alive.

I have some questions about this game since i find this trophy guide rather confusing at time, and would appreciate your help;

I have just completed the main game, i have gotten the True End guide, i did the following stuff to open the Bounardy Plane. I did not play the first game so i didnt load the clear data so this is my 1st playthrough. and i have bought some dlc's such as strong weapons and downloaded free ones.

1 - What should i do next? I read that it would have been better i didnt follow the TE guide but rather went to blacksmith to unlock equipment, since i screwed that, i will do it in next playthrough EXTRA (btw. what do i do excatly, i just spend all vacation days on blacksmith or?)

2 - Should i use my PP points on my party? At later parts of game i stopped spending them so i have a bunch of them.

3 - what party do u suggest?

4 - i just need some basic points what to do next to get the most enjoyment because of heavy grind towards platinum.

and please be a bit more specific. example, if u say, do the digest route, tell me where, what cus i dont know yet.

You need to follow the guide for the true end again as in order to plat this you have to access areas that are only available when you do the true ending on that playthrough. If you do the thing with the blacksmith on this playthrough, you will need to do a 3rd for the plat. I'm not sure what the gear he gives is, but it's not really needed anyway as I never did it.

Personally I saved it until I was 100% sure on what characters I wanted to use (Which was at the end of my second playthrough as I didn't like some of the people I ended up using on my first, so I did another one. Didn't have to, but wanted to). I also waited until the skill I was going to use the PP on was at 100, as then the amount it needs never increases and I thought using PP on something lower than that was a waste as I could just use my actual levels to improve them.

Use whoever you like? Some characters are perhaps more useful than others but ultimately you can complete the game with whoever you want. Though it will help a lot if you like Alice and Ellis as they are extremely useful healers. I used Leonhardt, Alice, Ellis, Mimel, Linda and... Sayane? Think thats right. Linda and Sayane are the weakest of the team there, but I didn't have any problems once I had the best equipment.

Digest route will unlock on your second playthrough, a tower will appear on your map after you progress a little into the story of Zero. I think it's after Alice and... Whatever his name is join your party. That will take you to the previous games story, where you basically learn the key parts of the story and fight the important battles. You'll also unlock more characters. As for some pointers, I'm not really sure what to say. In regards to titles that are for enemy drops or killing so many of a certain enemy, do them as soon as you can because you can get new smithing books for better gear as rewards, and doing them all at the end of the game would be pretty boring.

Ok then, i wont do the blacksmith thingy since its not necessery for the platinum. i thought that id get some rare stuff there.

ok so, its best to grind he battle titles now, save points for later. and what about that 10 000 pp dlc? should i buy that one? i kinda feel thats throwing money, buying rare weapons dlc felt worth it.

btw 2 more question;

1 - btw. should i do the boundary plane and edge in the 1st playthrough?

2 - everytime i load the game it asks me if i want to continue or save for next run? if i pick next run does it imediately puts im in new game + (extra) or is it something else? do i have to pick new game from main menu?

and looking foward to that 2nd run, because obviously the choice of characters will be much bigger.
