I finished the main story but not the whole Boundary Plane, guess that's something i have to do now So much to do behind that I will say it might be worth mentioning all the stuff u need to do for it since ppl are bound to ask the same question again

One note I want to mention is Profilific does not seem to unlock until you physically go to the Picture Book -> Profile section. If it reads 100% the trophy will unlock at that point.

The way i went about my playthrough was Agarest Zero Main Story > Boundary Plane > Digest Mode > Gods > Boundary Edge so the way i went about it there was no way i would notice. So ill go ahead and add it in now

I just finished normal mode and read through this entire thread. A bit confused on how to proceed though. To go for Platinum I load my Cleared game save and choose Extra mode and follow the true ending guide? Also what're these gods I keep hearing about that weren't in the main story, unless you're referring to the larva?
Also, I never played Record of Agarest War, I just bought it a few days ago, would it be better recommended playing through that and using the save to start Zero again or proceed from my cleared save?

Proceed how you are, load that save and follow the TRUE END on this playthrough. If you didn't buy any DLC you can choose to now if you wish to make it less bearable the second time around.

Im not referring to the Larva, the gods have a human form and are basically the final bosses of RoAW. You will have to face them when you finish all the generations in Digest mode. Dont worry though with the right lock down strategy they're not so hard the first time around until you play in the Boundary Edge.

If you do not take your advice using the vacation days for blacksmith bonus and instead follow the true end, you will be facing two final bosses instead of one, which basically cost me an additional day of farming a few +999 magics and consequently gaining necessary levels in the process. Not to say everyone would have trouble with the true end boss, but will obviously be a faster completion to not do a true end route twice.

I might be picking this game after I'm done with RoAW platinum - it's a pretty enjoyable game apart from all the grinding, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose (and i've been begging for a decent jrpg on this generation consoles for ages). So a couple of questions here:
Is this game as long as the first one?
How many generations are there?
Is it available as a digital download from PSN?

The game is alot shorter than its first one which means going for the will be shorter as well.

There is only 2 generations of the Agarest Zero Story, there is also a Digest Mode where you can play through the generations of Agarest 1 and obtain characters from them to add and mix with your Agarest Zero party.

The game is a full retail disc now, so start calling all your gamestops lol

For all of the "Stats above 50" trophies - they actually all unlock *at* 50 not 'above' 50.
Anyhow, thanks so much for the great guide, I can imagine how much time & effort it required.

With a few bumps and a few detours of mass distraction in RL, I'm almost at the tail end of this game. Yet, I'm working on the Digest Mode and Generation 4 has yet to open up. What point in game should it open up so I can crack it down?
