Roadmap

Introduction

Rango is the video game for the movie of the same title. You play as Rango, the sheriff in the town of Dirt, trying to find these mysterious meteorite rocks to possibly help find out the whereabouts of Bean's father. The main gameplay is your standard fare platforming/action/family type game, although it is extremely fun and done very well. With 9 different, rather unique levels to playthrough containing a variety of challenges, Rango will keep you entertained for the whole ride. Trophy wise, the game is very easy with no trophy giving any real difficulty to obtain, except for some heavy grinding at one point (but that's just time consuming more than anything).

Walkthrough

Step 1: Playthrough The Game On Hard Difficulty

Start a new game and select "Hard" difficulty. You main focuses here will be to beat the game and get every collectible in every stage as well. Other than that, just play through the game and aim for as many of the trophies as you can get during this run (especially the level related & combat related trophies). After you finish the game, you will get all of the story related trophies, as well as both Hero Of Dirt & Hero Of The West, and if you managed to get all the collectibles as well you'll also get Legend Of The West (in addition to anything else you picked up along the way).

Step 2: Clean-Up Remaining Trophies Via Tales Select (Level Select)

By this point you should have the majority of the trophies. The major one you will almost definitely still have to get is going after getting over 200,000 sheriff stars. For grinding it, I'd suggest to keep replaying the 1st stage (Jenkins Counsin's Homestead) as it's easy and gives you a large amount of stars. For the other ones that you have remaining, just use Tales Select (level select) to go to the appropriate stage required for the trophy you are going after. After you finish getting the remaining trophies, sit back and enjoy your easy platinum!

Shoot Bad Bill's dynamite bundle before he throws it in Water Train

[spoiler=dynamite]When you begin this fight, Bad Bill will hold a bundle of dynamite over his head in preparation to throw it at you. You have about 3-4 seconds to manually aim at the dynamite and shoot it before he throws it at you, so quickly line up your shot and pull the trigger. If you miss it and he throws the dynamite, don't worry as he will continually throw bundles, but it will be harder to line up a shot after that as enemies will flood the car you are on. If you want to try to have the easy, enemy free shot again, just jump off the side of the train to kill yourself and you'll restart right there again. Once you hit it before he throws it, the trophy will pop!

Defeat Bad Bill in Water Train

[spoiler=bbwater]For this fight, Bad Bill will be on the roof of the train car in front of you while you are on a flatbed type car. He will throw dynamite down at you while random enemies crawl up from the sides of the train. The easiest and quickest way to kill him is to shoot the dynamite when he holds it above his head before he is able to throw it (plus this nets you the They Got A Pill For That trophy as well). If you use that method, it will only take 3 dynamite shots to finish it off. Just keep moving around the train, dispatching of the random enemies while he's down, then return your sights to him as soon as he's up and throwing dynamite again. Once you finish him off, it will go to a cut scene and the trophy will pop!

Defeat Bad Bill in Forbidden Mine

[spoiler=bbmine]Bad Bill will man a machine gun turret at the top of a building for this fight. You need to run around and kill all the misc enemies that appear while avoiding his gun fire. Once you defeat all the misc enemies, you will be given a golf bag and told to hit the bell above his head. Just aim for him and hold the power meter until it's almost complete full and let it fly (adjust the direction if need be in mid-flight). Once the ball hits the bell, you will have defeated him!

[spoiler=lars]There really isn't much to this "fight." Lars will discover you and start coming at you slowly. You must hit a golfball at his head to stop him and knock him back. Do not use too much power or it will go right over his head. You really only need about 1/4-1/3 of the power bar to make it to his head. If he gets too close, then it will be game over so make sure you hit him as fast as you can. Once you hit him in the head three times, you will defeat him and the trophy will pop!

Defeat Bad Bill in Rodent Clan

[spoiler=bbclan]Bad Bill will be riding on the stage coach containing Beans, but unfortunately for you, he also has a machine gun turret mounted to the top of it. You will be on the back of a roadrunner chasing him through the canyon during the fight, so you will need to move and shoot at the same time in order to avoid his attacks and hit him. He has 3 basic moves during this fight:

1) He'll fire his machine gun at you in a sweeping motion from one side of the screen to the other

2) He'll throw bombs behind him that blow up and cause damage in a certain radius area

3) He'll throw bombs at the walls of the canyons and make rocks fall from the sky

To make things even more fun, after a little while of the fight, enemies on roadrunner's backs will begin to appear as well. Just keep shooting the stage coach and take out any enemies when they appear to keep the screen clear and easier for you to concentrate on shooting him and avoiding his attacks. Once you drain him of energy, the stage coach will explode and the trophy will pop!

Defeat Rattlesnake Jake in The Return of Rattlesnake Jake

[spoiler=snakejakefight]You will be on a platform area while Jake is moving around in front of you from the edge. There are 2 main parts to this fight that he will repeat:

While he is still over the cliff moving around, he will roar at you and this is your cue to start unloading into him as fast as you can to get as many hits in before he stops. After he roars, he will then move around and pick a spot to slam his body down against the ground sending out a shock wave around that area. Once you see where he is going, just move out of the way as fast as possible to avoid it. He will then repeat those 2 steps until you've unloaded enough rounds in to him at which time he will just fall over then and be dazed (stars above his head). This is when you really want to lay into him to do damage.

Once he wakes up, he will disappear from the screen and enemies will begin to appear on your platform area. Every so often, Jake will pop up from the ground to do an attack (signified by a circular sand area). Avoid these attacks by staying out of the radius of the sand circle and focus on eliminating the enemies.

After that he will return to the first step again, so repeat the steps there. Once you finish that part, he will do something different in the second half. Instead of disappearing and attacking from the ground, he will put his tail up and start firing bullets at you from it every so often. Stick with the same strategy of avoiding his attacks and focusing only on the enemies.

When that step is complete, he will return to the first actions again, only this time, he will ground slam twice before he roars. Once you stun him and fire at him this time, he will fall and the trophy will be yours!

Defeat the Alien Probe in Alien Invasion

[spoiler=alien]You will be on a large circular platform and the Alien Probe will be in the center of the room on the ceiling. You must shoot the "eye" of it when it opens up, all while avoiding its different attacks and random enemies that appear throughout.

His attacks vary, so you'll have to watch out for what he's going to do. He can do the following:

1) Send lasers across the floor in criss-cross patterns (Just jump to avoid them)

2) He will send a shock wave blast down to the middle of the floor which will then expand outward across the entire platform (again, just jump to avoid)

3) He will shoot a laser down to the floor and it was chase you are the room for a while (just run around and dodge when needed)

4) A bunch of lasers will start coming down in one area and then come together quickly and explode there (run away or dodge)

5) After he's been damaged enough, he will begin combining some of the previous attacks at one time (especially the 2nd & 4th together), plus the remaining ones will move a lot faster and are harder to avoid.

Just keep attacking him when you can and once you hit the eye enough times, the fish controlling it will drop down into the center of the room dazed. This is when you want to unload into it to do damage against him. Keep repeating hitting the eye and then hitting him when he's dazed until you finish him off. Once you do, the trophy will pop!

Defeat 20 enemies using manual aim

To manually aim, you must hold down the :l1: button and then press the :r1: button to fire. You must kill the enemy you are aiming at with a manually aimed shot for it to count. Rinse and repeat 20 times and the trophy will pop!

Defeat a shooter without using your gun

All you need to do is beat an enemy that has a gun by using your melee attack (:square:). This is easiest done in the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead). Right after the part where it shows you how to fire your gun, Bad Bill will throw down a few of his henchmen by you. Just run up to them while avoiding their firing and finish one of them off with a melee attack. After you defeat him in that way, the trophy will pop!

Defeat 1000 enemies

Just as the description says, you need to defeat over 1000 enemies for this trophy. You should get this just by playing through the game normally, but if not, then just replay a few stages in order to get over the 1000 you need. Just select any level you wish (the 1st stage is probably the easiest for grinding as the enemies are the easiest) and grind out the remaining kills you need. Once you reach 1000 kills, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/21.jpg Sting Like a Bee http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Defeat 100 enemies with melee attacks

You must defeat 100 enemies using your melee attacks. To do a melee attack, just press the :square: button. If you are having problems killing enemies with melee attacks, you can always just select the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead) via level select and just melee your way through it as the enemies are much weaker and there are tons of cockroach bugs there as well that will help pad that number. Once you finish off 100 enemies using melee attacks, the trophy will pop!

Launch an enemy with an uppercut then shoot him three times

To launch an enemy with an uppercut, you must hold down :r2: and then press :square:. Once they are in the air, release :r2: and just spam the :r1: button to fire your gun at them. It's easiest to do this when you only have one enemy near you so your autofire doesn't aim at someone else. The easiest place to do this is right after you do a grind for the first time in the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead) and Bad Bill sends rodent enemies at you that try to melee you. Just wait til you see some lightning above their heads, designating that they are about to attack and move out of the way, then move in, uppercut them and fire away. The trophy will pop after you complete it!

Launch 10 enemies off the train in Water Train

During the second half the Water Train (Stage 2), you will be on the train itself. You must knock 10 enemies off the train using an uppercut (hold :r2: and hit :square: to do one). You can only knock them off the train if you are outside and not inside a train car. It's easiest to knock the first 10 enemies you come across (while outside) so that you make sure you get all you need before the stage ends. Once you knock your 10th enemy off the train, the trophy will pop!

Acquire the Blaster and take out 10 enemies with it

You will get the different power-ups from various jack-in-the-boxes scattered around the various stages. Usually they are located where you will need to fight a large number of enemies. The power-up only lasts for a certain amount of time before it disappears, but you are able to extend how long it lasts by buying upgrades for them through the Wounded Bird. In order to get the trophy, you must kill 10 enemies during ONE power-up's duration (it's not cumulative). For this reason, it's best that you have at least one upgrade for the power-up in order to give yourself enough time to kill 10. Once you kill 10 with the required power-up, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/21.jpg Tank Buster http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Defeat a huge charging rabbit using only melee attacks, without taking any damage from him

The charging rabbit enemies first appear in stage 3 (The Forbidden Mine). In order to defeat them easily, you must avoid their charge and try to get them to slam into one of the surrounding walls to stun them. Once they are stunned you only have a short period of time to attack them before they start their charge again. Try to stay near where they are going to slam at all times to maximize the amount of hits you can get in at once (usually around 3 safely, 4 if you press your luck). Just keep avoiding them and then melee them when they are stunned until their health is gone. Once you finish them off using only melee moves and without getting hit, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/21.jpg Demolitions http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Lure a Jumper to land on a shotgun shell

Jumpers are rabbits that leap high into the air and then display a circular landing zone on the ground around you before they come crashing down. You will first encounter them in Stage 3 (Forbidden Mines) and this is a very easy location to get this trophy as well (as long as you don't destroy the shotgun shells around there). As soon one appears on screen, move around and avoid their landing attack, then quickly move to the nearest shotgun shell (it looks like 3 banded together) and stand next to it. As soon as the circular landing zone appears, immediately run as far away as you can as fast as possible so you don't get damaged by the blast. Once it hits the shotgun shell (it doesn't have to kill it, just hit it), the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/43.jpg I Shot the Sheriff http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Defeat 6 zombies with one golf shot

This might sound difficult, but it's actually extremely easy and you will probably get it without even having to try. During the middle to end of stage 7 (Zombie Invasion), you will have to defend the gates from approaching zombies by hitting exploding golfballs at them. There are a very large number of zombies that approach and are way more than 6 in the radius of a golfball explosion on screen at almost any time. Just hit a shot and aim it for the middle of a large group of zombies. Once you kill more than 6 with one shot, the trophy will pop!

Misc Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/44.jpg Bull's Eye! (B)

Hit a bullseye in Golden Bullet mode for the first time

You will get at least one golden bullet in each stage which you will then fire at a set amount of targets. You have to navigate the bullet towards the target and try to hit it dead center for a bullseye. You only have a short amount of time to get everything lined up, so be quick. Once you land a bullseye for the first time, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/44.jpg 100% Bull (S)

Hit 3 bullseyes in a row

Stage 2 (Water Train) is the first opportunity (and is also probably the easiest one) you will get at this trophy as there are 3 targets that you shoot at. You must hit all 3 targets with a bullseye. If you miss on either of your first 2 shots, then send the bullet way away from the target on the following bounce so that it doesn't count and makes you try again. Keep trying until you nail 3 in a row and the trophy pops!

See Red, White & Blue Sevens

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/15.jpg Red, White & Blue Sevens (S)

Collect 200 000 Sheriff Stars

You collect Sheriff Stars by destroying crates, mining and defeating enemies. You will have to replay some levels again and grind your way to 200,000 required for this trophy. You will get the majority of your stars from killing enemies. You can increase the amount you get via multiplier bonus by defeating numerous enemies in a row without getting hit. The higher the number of enemies you've killed in a row, the higher the multiplier will go. This is very helpful as you can get a TON of stars this way, so always make sure that you avoid getting hit at all costs to keep the multiplier going.

To also help in your grinding effort towards this trophy, you will want to buy a few power-ups from Wounded Bird found in the different levels (he's the shop basically). The first time you will come across him is in the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead) right after you use power smash to break through a trap door on the ground. If you have over 2000, then you can get the main 3 you need immediately (if not, pick the other up next time you see him). The 3 you want increase sheriff star output for the following: "Dispatching Enemies In Combat" (Cost: 1000), "Smashing Objects" (Cost: 600), & "Mining" (Cost: 400). Each of these 3 items has 3 levels to them, each costing more than the previous. You will want to upgrade them as soon as you are able to (especially the enemies & the smashing objects ones).

Just keep grinding away in each stage making sure you kill everything, smash everything you can and mine all the mining spots, all while upgrading when possible to make it easier. Once you reach your cumulative goal of 200,000 (doesn't have to be 200,000 on you at one time), the trophy will pop! A super easy way to get this is to farm the Beetle boss at the end of Jenkins Cousins' Homestead. The following video shows the same trick but in the Rodent Den stage so you can do it either way (credit to shinshaobaka for the video):

Complete a tale using only your gun

You must complete one stage without using a single melee attack. The easiest stage to do this in is probably stage 2 (Water Train), but you can do it on pretty much any other stage that you have your gun for the entire thing. Once you complete any of the stages using only your gun, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/20.jpg It's Not Easy Being Green (S)

Complete a tale without dying

Just as it says, just complete any of the stages without dying. Easiest one to do this on is the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead) as the enemies are very easy. If you are having problems with this one, then play through the game and upgrade your character (especially health wise) and then replay stage one via level select later on. Once you complete a stage without dying, the trophy will pop at the end!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/35.jpg This is Bat Country! (S)

Ride a bat for an entire level without dying

You will get to ride a bat during the end of stage 7 (Zombie Invasion). Along the way you will have to avoid cactus, rocks, steam pipes, caves & enemies. You can hit things, but you must not die during the run. Your main concern will be with the oncoming hazards with the enemies being a secondary worry. After you finish the bat part of the stage without dying, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/36.jpg Meep! Meep! (S)

Ride a roadrunner for an entire level without dying

You will have to ride a roadrunner at the beginning of stage 2 (Water Train). Make sure that you keep your eyes out for rock pillars, rock walls, wooden barriers, cactus (standing & falling), falling rocks and of course enemies as you progress through. You can hit things, but you must not die during the run. Your main concern will be with the oncoming hazards with the enemies being a secondary worry. After you finish the roadrunner part of the stage without dying, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/11.jpg Hero of the West (S)

Complete the game in hard mode

When the game begins, make sure to select HARD difficulty from the choices. To be honest, HARD is actually very easy, so it's best to just start on it as the difficulty trophies stack, so you will also get Hero Of Dirt along with this one. Once you finish the game on Hard difficulty, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/800/13.jpg Legend of the West (G)

Complete hard mode and gather all unlocks & collectibles

For this trophy you must beat the game on hard mode, get all of the mining spots/goldfish bowls located in each stage and buy all the upgrades from Wounded Bird. If you need help finding any of the ones you are missing, there is a collectibles guide (HERE). You do not have to get all the collectibles in one playthrough as you can return to any stage you are missing something in to get it after you complete the game. You will need to replay levels to get enough sheriff stars in order to buy all the upgrades though. Once you complete the game on hard mode and obtained all of the mining spots, goldfish bowls & upgrades, you will also get all the unlocks and the trophy! Collectible Guide (Mining Spots & Goldfish Bowls)

Stage 1: Jenkins Cousins' Homestead

Mining Spots (8):

- Right at the beginning of the stage after you jump up on to the ledges. The game will actually point it out for you as it uses it as a tutorial

- After you cross the first ribcage bridge, turn to your right and then drop down into the valley below. It'll be right next a big cactus in front of you.

- After you beat all of Bad Bill's henchmen, a tunnel will open in front of that you will need to hunch through. Once you come out the other side, turn to your left and back towards the way you came to a stack of crates. Break them all and the Mining Spot is behind them.

- After you climb a wall where you learn how to grab on to the blue colored beams, you will land on a wooden platform. Drop down on the other side of it and turn around to a stack of crates. Break them and it is located behind them.

- In the area where you get locked in and enemies drop down from mines above you, head towards the left side and break the pile of crates there. It is located right behind them.

- After you grind down bones for the first time and finish off some enemies, you will cross a wooden bridge to a new section. The mining spot will be right in front of you in the middle of that area.

- After you use the golf clubs to knock down the bridge. You will have to fight 2 enemies and then cross the bridge. When you reach the other side, turn right and head to the back of that area. It's near some crates back there.

- After you cross the conveyer belt and kill all the enemies in that next section, you will have to climb up some mesh to get to the next platform. Once up there, turn right and it will be right in front of you.

Goldfish Bowls (5):

- Impossible to miss as it will be right in front of you after you cross the first balance beam.

- In the area where you get locked in and enemies drop down from mines above you, head towards the back of that section and look for a mine with crates in front of it. The fishbowl is right behind it (you can see it easily).

- After you grind down the bones after Bad Bill, you will land in an area where he'll send some rodent enemies at you. To the left of where you start, there is a pile of crates. The fish bowl is behind it.

- After crossing the bridge from the last area mentioned above, head straight towards the back of it to a pile of crates. The fish bowl is behind it.

- You will enter an area where you will be locked in and told to hit a jack-in-the-box to get a powerup. Head to the back left corner of this room and the goldfish bowl is behind some crates there.

Stage 2: Water Train

Mining Spots (4):

- After you board the train and make it past the first set of enemies, you will come to a spot where you have to power smash your way through the floor. Once you do, you land in a coach with roadrunners in their pens. Move forward and the mining spot will be on your right hand side right before the exit.

- You will come to a point where you must push a cow moo box in order to jump up to a ledge. Once you are up to the platform after that ledge, the mining spot will be immediately to your right.

- After you cross the following fire extinguisher, you will jump onto a car where you need to power smash through the floor. Instead, move all the way to the front of this car and the mining spot will be on the roof there.

- Right near the end of the stage you will have to cross a balance beam. If you look on the lower ledge of the car in front of you, you will see the final mining spot for this stage.

Goldfish Bowls (3):

- You will come to a train section where you have to jump over to grab a blue beam section, then drop down on the side before jumping back up onto the train. Instead of jumping up, keep moving to the right along the long blue beam until you come to a small little open area. The bowl is right there in front of you.

- Later in the level you will start passing through some train cars that look like purses with zippers for the openings. In the last car like this, there will be a few enemies and some hornets there. Turn around towards the way you just came in and it's on your right hand side.

- You will go inside a car and have to interact with a switch that drops down a box for you to jump up and grab on to, then from there, jump up to another ledge and out the roof. Once you're on top of this car, turn around and go back the way you came across the roof to find another hole in it. Drop down there and the goldfish bowl is right next to you.

Stage 3: The Forbidden Mine

Mining Spots (8):

- At the very beginning of the level, after you jump over the first gap, it will be on your right hand side on a little raised portion of the mountain.

- After you pass by some steam vents, you will come to an area where you have to push a cart out of the way in order to proceed. Turn around and look in the mine opening behind there to find a mining spot.

- You will drop down into an area where there is a bunch of enemies including some toxic green bugs. If you look at the wall where you dropped down from, there is a little alcove there with the mining spot in it.

- After you enter the mine, you will do a long grind section before landing on a platform. Just across from that platform to the blue grip beams across from it and work your way down to the bottom. The mining spot will be at the bottom of it right around the corner.

- After watching the cut scene with the Area 102 sign, turn around 180 degrees and head towards the back wall. The mining spot is behind the crates there.

- From the previous one, turn around and head down to the other end of that tunnel. The mining spot is behind the crates at that end.

- After you see the cut scene where you enter the town square type area (the bunny with the bucket hat is sitting near an over turned wagon) and regain control of your character, immediately turn to your left and head that way next to the entrance. You'll find the mining spot back there.

- When you get to the part where Bad Bill mans the machine gun, head towards where he is and turn right before you get to him. The mining spot is between two buildings over there by some oil well looking structures.

Goldfish Bowls (4):

- You actually see this one in the cut scene. It's right at the beginning of the stage in a mine shaft entrance to you right.

- After you climb up to where Bad Bill's elevator stops, you will fight a ton of enemies on a wooden walkway. After you clear them out, go over to the elevator and it will be right inside of it.

- When you come to a grind rail at one point (after beating the giant bunny), go down it and when you land on the platform, turn to your right and jump across those 2 platforms. The goldfish bowl is behind some crates on the second one.

- The last one is located in the area where you first fight the jumpers (and Bad Bill mans the machine gun). From where you enter, head straight ahead up the wooden ramp to the raised section and then jump into the broken pillar type structure to your right to find it.

Stage 4: Land of Giants

Mining Spots (8):

- After distracting Lars using the golden bullet, drop down until you reach a drawer with books in it. Drop down into the drawer and the bowl will be in there in front of a goldfish bowl.

- After defeating a large number of enemies, climb up the books to progress on, but once you reach the top of the stack, turn left instead. The mining spot is on the next stack of books.

- After another section where you have to hide from Lars, you will climb a staple wall up to another shelf. As you move down the shelf, you will drop down to another section where you will be attacked by a lot of enemies. If you turn around and look in the direction where you just came from, you will find a mining spot.

- Eventually you come across a huge charging rabbit inside the walls. Just past him is a staple wall climb section. Go up it and make your way all the way to right side of that area. The mining spot is behind the crates there.

- After you activate the coo-coo clock, you will have to climb up a staple wall to get into the next section. Once you reach the top, turn to your right and you'll see a mining section in the back of that area.

- After you pass by the electrified staple wall section, the mining section will be on just other side of the platform you finish it on.

- Once you re-enter the walls again, keep heading to your left all the way to the end to find a stack of crates. Destroy them and you will find the mining spot.

- After you leave the wall, turn to your left and look across the gap to the top of a filing cabinet (or something like that). You will see the mining spot next to a fishbowl.

Goldfish Bowls (6):

- At the very start of the level, turn around 180 degrees and enter the vent shaft there. Once inside, turn to your left and destroy all the crates there. The fishbowl will be behind them.

- After distracting Lars using the golden bullet, drop down until you reach a drawer with books in it. Drop down into the drawer and the bowl will be in there behind a mining spot.

- Eventually you come across a huge charging rabbit inside the walls. Just past him is a staple wall climb section. Go up it and make your way all the way to right side of that area. The goldfish bowl is behind the crates there.

- After you do a grind rail, you will land by one of those singing fish type things. Go to your right and drop down to find the fish bowl.

- Near the end of the stage, you will exit another wall section. Turn to your left and look across the gap at the top of the filing cabinet (or whatever it is). The fishbowl will be next to a mining spot.

Stage 5: Rodent Clan

Mining Spots (14):

- Eventually you will reach a larger open area that you will get locked in with a ton of enemies. Turn to your left and head back towards the entrance to find a mining spot in alcove next to the door.

- In the same area as the last one to the right of this area.

- From the previous spot, go up the ramp into the box and make an immediately right. The mining spot will be right in front of you.

- After you exit the box area from the last one, turn to your left and you will see it in the back corner by a dumpster(?) of cactus & a spitting plant.

- After you climb the building covered in mesh wiring (and electric bugs), drop down on to the upper platform and pull the lever to drop the bridge. Cross the bridge and head to the left, then climb the staple wall there. As soon as you get to the top, turn left and it's behind some boxes.

- In the same area as above, right across from the last one is another mining spot behind some crates.

- In the same area as the previous 2, it's in the opposite corner being some more crates.

- After the portion where you have to jump across hanging cages, you will land on a ledge with Wounded Bird. Climb up to the next section and the mining spot will be to your left.

- Just past the previous one, you will come to a spot where you have to pull a lever to drop the bridge. Once you cross the bridge, it will be in front of you to your left.

- After moving a box to trigger a switch for the third time, jump across the hanging cages to the upper platform. Make your way around the corner to your right and the mining spot is right next to the cage.

- After you grind down rail near the last one, you land in a "barnyard" and see a cutscene. Once you get control again, immediately turn to your left to find one.

- From the previous one, follow around the barn towards the fence area to find another one.

- From the previous one, turn to your right and head all the way to the other side of the stage. It's located in the left hand corner over there between the passage way and the roofed structure

- From the previous spot, turn around and look at the roofed structure with all the crates in front of it. It's behind those crates underneath it.

Goldfish Bowls (6):

- After you pass by the electrified staple wall part, turn to your right on that platform area. The fishbowl is in a little roofed area next to you.

- When you reach the part where you have to balance beam across a long wire, you will come to a platform with the golden bullet to your left on an elevated section. Go straight ahead from the wire and jump across to the hanging platform there and it will be right in front of you.

- When you get to the part where you have to make your way across hanging cages, you will come to a part where you have to push a box over to a switch to hold it down. Instead of stopping it there, push it around the corner and then jump on top of it. Turn to your right and jump up to the blue grip beam there and follow it around to a wooden platform with the fishbowl on it.

- After moving a box to trigger a switch for the third time, jump across the hanging cages to the upper platform. Make your way around the corner to your right and the goldfish bowl is on top of the cage there.

- After grinding down a rail and witnessing a cut scene of the wagon pulling out, you'll want to kill all the guys in that area. After they are dead, head for the passage way in the right corner of the area. The gold fish bowl will be on your left as you go down it.

- From the previous one, exit back out of the passage way and turn to your left. Climb up the boxes and jump up to that platform. Go around the corner and enter the building you were just in front of to find a goldfish bowl.

Stage 6: The Return of Rattlesnake Jake

Mining Spots (3):

- After placing a block over a steam valve, use it to jump up to the higher ledge there and then go all the way to the left. The mining spot will be right in front of you.

- After you exit the side-scrolling section and return to the surface, turn to your left to see a line of crates. The mining spot is behind them.

- After climbing a mesh wall section, you will be on a stone platform with 3 enemies and many bales of hay stacked in the background (also RattleSnake Jake will pop up in the back ground). Go through the pipe to your left and drop down. Once you do, turn 180 degrees and it will be right there.

Goldfish Bowls (3):

- At the very beginning of the stage when you're in town, head down the left side of the street until you reach the Cantina (looks like a giant jug). Go around to the back side of it and look on top of the little roof structure coming out of it to find a fishbowl.

- During the underground side-scroller part, you will come to a part where you have to jump across a gap to avoid a boulder falling from above. After that you will come to a mesh wall climbing section where you will jump from one side to the other. When you jump to the left side, climb down and around the bottom to find a fishbowl.

- When you start jumping across the "stone pillars", you'll eventually come one platform area with a ton of crates stacked high. The fishbowl is inside that stack.

Stage 7: Zombie Invasion

Mining Spots (5):

- Right at the beginning of the level in the room with the floor light puzzle, it is located next to the door that opens when you complete it.

- After the grinding section, you will climb a few mesh wall sections to reach the top of the area. When you get to the top, you will see some toxic bugs on the ground. Turn to your left and jump across to the other platform (kill the enemy there first) and it will be right in front of you.

- After you finish the second grind section, you will see a bunch of crates to the left of where you are. Behind them is another mining spot.

- After you defeat the 2 giant bugs, go down the grind rail and then work your way around the path until you see the mining spot up on a raised section to your left.

- You will come to a part where you have to jump over 3 of the falling stone pillars. Once you cross completely, you will see Wounded Bird standing near you. Jump up to the next level and turn left. The mining spot is in the middle of that area.

Goldfish Bowls (3):

- In the room after the floor light puzzle, there is one located in the back right corner of the room next to the giant switch.

- Once you leave the lab and go top side to the burning town, head to the bottom left edge of that area to the burning thing near the ledge and go around the back side of it. There will be a bowl there.

- Near the end of the stage, you will enter a section where there are burning buildings on both sides of that area and a ton of enemies appear. On the right side of that area there is a path between 2 of the buildings where the goldfish bowl is located.

Stage 8: Nowhere & Back

Mining Spots (3):

- After you exit the temple section and enter the misty/wintery looking area with the fish flying through the sky, turn to your left and look for a blue grip section on the ground there. Jump down and it will be right in front of you.

- Once you defeat all the enemies and get the first piece of the fish puzzle, push it into the correct hole to make a bridge and new area appear. Cross the bridge and jump up on to the tower. Once you grab hold of the first blue grip bar, move to the left and around the corner. The mining spot will be below you on a platform.

- After putting in the red piece of the fish puzzle, a bridge will lower on the right side leading to some crates. The mining spot is right in front of them.

Goldfish Bowls (2):

- After you pass the mariachi band on a branch sticking out of the tv, follow the path down and jump over to the other side. Go left all the way to the end of that path and you will find it next to the soda cup.

- After you pass the part where the floor begins to drop behind you and you've jumped to safety, climb up the wall in front of you and go all the way around to the left. The goldfish will be on a ledge below you.

Stage 9: Alien Invasion

Mining Spots (3):

- A little into the stage, you will come to another circular room where you have to fight a ton of enemies. When you finish them off, the power plug will drop down. Push it into the slot and you'll see a cutscene of Bean's father. After the cut scene is over, it will be where he was trapped at behind the force field wall.

- This one is right next to the previous one in the exact same area.

- After you climb up the electriified wall section, you will drop down on to a platform. The mining spot will be right there next to where you land.

Goldfish Bowls (2):

- When you reach the top of the 2 moving platform/laser portions, you will come to be on a narrower platform area with a box with yellow tubes coming out of it on one side and a ton of enemies appearing. Defeat all the enemies and then a moving platform will rise up towards you with more enemies. Finish them off, but don't get on it yet. Turn around towards the box with the yellow tubes come out of it and look to the left of it up on the wall for a small platform. There is a fishbowl up there that you need to shoot from a distance (use manual aim).

- After the last one, ground slam the moving platform to make it go down. Kill the enemies on the platform it stops next to and then ground slam that one to make it move towards another loaded with enemies. Kill the enemies on this one and then look to the lower right of it for a fishbowl on a small platform there. You will need to shoot it to get it (use manual aim).

The roadmap & trophy guide are completed. The only thing I have left to do is to fix the one missing goldfish bowl loctation in stage 4 (which I should have shortly) and attempt to do collectible videos for the game (if I can figure out how to use this damn capture card thing I just got :p).

I have a problem, I got the trophy for obtaining 100.000 sheriff stars, then, I got 50.000 more, but the silver trophy didn't pop up; after I purchase the abilities and got the trophy Legend of the West, but 'Red Sevens' did not appear. My save is glitched?

EDIT: I don't know what happened, but after gaining 20.000 more, the trophy popped up. Now, only one trophy to platinum, this guide is awesome, congrats.

I like the movie, but is the game the same or totally different??

And is this a very easy platinum or are there a few difficult trophies?

Can someone answer my questions? Thanks already.

I haven't watched the film yet, so i don't know if it's differnt!? And second it's a Easy game, probably take 10 hours cos you have to grind out 200,000 stars

The game is completely different from the movie. While it includes alot of the characters from the movie, it has a completely different storyline. Trophy/game wise, like it's been said everything is very easy with the only ones being a grind being the sheriff star ones, but even those are easy, just time consuming.

AAARGH FFS - I am in the same boat as turdboy. I completed the game with three items to collect on hard mode, I used level select staying in hard mode to collect last of the collectables but no trophy pop.

I thought maybe if I completed the last level again as to watch the credits it might pop but no luck... any luck or am I looking at a delete and start again... GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I can just go and scout the levels again as the level select says that everything has been collected and they will not appear in the levels anymore. *cries*

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

@Turdboy and myself...

the reason the trophy isnt popping is because we have not read the description properly... we have to fully upgrade rango

for the stars trophy, anyone with an idea how many stars we should have after buying everything and the trophy popping as I have lost count of my total after upgrading.... so i know what i am aiming for
