Default Boss help

I honestly regret getting this game.

Any game that has a boss with no attack pattern and a move that is unavoidable with no warning of the move, is cheap, or poor design. And when I say attack pattern, I don't mean her combo pattern.

I can't beat the woman in black in the room with the alter, where a girl in red is hanging from edge, 2nd boss.

I've been trying since yesterday. Just now I spent a good half hour in a battle with her and only needed 1 more attack to finish the battle, but guess what? It cheated.

She walked towards the girl hanging from edge, so I had to go to attack her so she wouldn't stomp her fingers as 1 more time would have made her fall. But as I'm about to attack she turns around instantly and picks me up in air with both blades killing me. I'm getting tired of this cheap stuff. I mean what kind of developer does that?

Any time she does her kick or that impale into air thing there is no warning and no pattern to when she will do it. It's completely random so I have to hit and run the whole battle, which takes ages.

well all her attacks can be guarded cept for the kick so just guard till she does that thrust up move but keep guarding cuz she will do a small slash after to get you off guard but since now you know the trick won't work after she does that lil slash whale on her you will do a good amount of damage rinse and repeat and as for her kick she tends to break her combo or rush in to use it but she only uses it when you spam guard to much

Lol, sorry if this comes across as rude, but I mentioned in topic post that I had to attack her as she was about to stomp the girls fingers so you couldnt guard because you have to attack her to stop her from stomping. And you cant say to guard after attacking because she instantly turned around with blades impaled in me before my attack even landed, and no warning.

I just beat this bitch yesterday, and you're right....she is very CHEAP.

The method I used was I just blocked until she raised both swords in the air....then I sliced on her. Her kick is unavoidable, which is totally stupid. So basically you have to take your licks and HOPE you have enough health to survive the fight. Have some sand too, incase you get hit by another one of her cheap ass tactics, so next time you can (hopefully) avoid it.

Summary: this fight is based purely on luck. No skill involved (unless you count blocking 90% of the fight, skill).

i didn't get hit at all... i just kept blocking, and when she stopped her sword attack i would slice her 3-4 times then back-off... i also made sure to stay away from the girl hanging off the edge... it's a very simple pattern... good luck...

you also may get lucky and trap her in an animation loop

when the first quicktime event happens (when they cross their blades,you need to mash the square button) don't stop mashing square afterwards,if done correctly she can't do anything for the rest of the battle,as the last hit of your combo will always stun her

though if she is near the arena ledge she will brake out of the loop

I passed this fight long ago, almost done with game, but am replying to replies. ^^

@graffix:

I used same method as you until I realized its better to back flip away from her after hitting her a couple times so in case she does kick you wont be near. This made things easier, but still no way to know when her cheap things would happen. Thus before I beat her I still got hit a few times before I beat her.

I did the exact same method as you. But what I had said in topic post is that you have to attack her if she starts walking to go stomp on girl hanging from edge's finger so she wont stomp on them, but the attack that killed me happened during that. I had to attack. I only did one attack and before it landed she instantly turned around and impailed me, instantly meaning no warning, as in not even an animation of her quickly turning around. One minute she's walking towards girl, then next I am impailed and die. So if you don't have to attack her to stop her from stomping on girl's fingers, then please tell me how that works, because as far as I know she doesn't stop on her own. Oh sure, if I had a secondary weapon to throw I could keep distance, but I didn't have a secondary weapon.

@jigsaw:

Sounds nice. Wish I had known about that design flaw at the time. I would have tried it. Wow, this game actually has flaws that work in your favor, but still more design flaws none-the-less.

Just roll to her and hit her legs, then roll back. She can't do nothing.

Have u tried to jump on her and/or counter atack her?? Maybe she is a bit unpredictable, but common this is too easy, as the prince would say. Also the kick you mention is no unblockable, but gets preference if u try to attack when she does the kick. And for the impale attack, it goes the same as the kick, but is no big deal, cause she rarely does it outside the end of her long combo, so you can counter attack her before she gets to it. For the part when you say she was about to attack kilenna, u coul have jumped on her and landing with a sword atack.

This is 2nd or 3rd reply from someone that completely overlooked the walking to step on girls fingers so you have to attack thing I said in topic. When I said it happened as I was about to attack in topic, it means the attack was already executed but hadn't landed. So your hit roll out thing has no basis for what I mentioned in topic. I'm very sorry if you misunderstood what I had said. I thought it sounded pretty clear.

@kyorml:

The kick 'is' unblockable because whenever she would use it was while I was blocking. I would block entire combo, then every 2 or 3 combos average she'd end it with an unblockable kick. In other words I was not trying to attack when she did kick. So every time after that I'd just attack and back away with X, though she still does unpredictable. As for telling me to jump on her. It doesn't matter what attack was used because the impale thing happened before an attack even landed, so it was an impossible situation because A. You don't attack and let her stomp Kaileena's fingers, or B. You do attack to stop her, but her sudden impale out of thin air happened before attack even landed, and blocking was out of the question because you can't attack and block at same time nor was there any warning (not even an animation) of her attack.
