Nah you don't. You can active the button, jump over onto the stairs and then roll all the way to the opening, you'll make it without the time slow down ability.

Yeah i can confirm that too i got it 1st, u just have to climb the side of the staircase then as funky said roll up to the little door.

Following the videos for the health upgrades worked perfectly. However, I was following the videos for the art chests as well, and as soon as I got to the third video and it told you to backtrack to get two of them, I knew it was going to glitch on me. And guess what? It glitched on me. I backtracked to get the chest in the room where you fought Shadee first, then went back to the gardens to get the other one. Now when I go back to the hourglass room, it wants me to do the fight with the Empress again, and I did kind of remember doing this. However, big door to the room you fight her in is shut. So back in the main part of the hourglass room, I noticed another door open and remembered from my first playthrough, that was the way to go. Only when I get past the first set of traps, the hallway leads to a doorway that is solid stone. Walked up to it and I couldwalk right through it, and now i'm stuck in the room with the empress. She's standing by herself not moving, and when I tried to hit her attacks just go through her. What a steaming stinking pile of shit this game is.

Any reason of why I should play hard mode first instead of normal mode? Doesn't say in the introduction, and I don't want to spoil myself by looking at something I shouldn't since I have never played this before.

cos after u had done things the hard way, u will breeze thru the 2nd and 3rd run on easy and normal... but of cos u can do things from the easy way to the hard way. no fixed way for it...
