I load my savegame, why is the prince [spoilers]?

...in his shadow form all of a sudden? He wasn't before and I'm not even at the point in the game where this bcomes "available".

Cannot really go on as it drains his health constantly. I tried to reload the game, but it remains the same. Any way out of it?

You're encountering a glitch. Hopefully you have made 2 different savegames on different slots.
It never happened to me but I know a lot of players encountered the glitch before. It's a well known glitch of the game.

No, no other savefile. Awesome. These HD ReWhatevers are getting more and more half-assed everytime. but it's from Ubisoft, no? That should've been a warning ...

The glitch exists since the first release, I mean in 2004. They are not going to fix it.
It's more safe to always choose 2 slots for the savegames in the POP trilogy, because of the random glitches.

Now I think about it, maybe you can continue playing as the Sand Wraith who knows ?

If the character acts like him later the health isn't going to decrease to zero (it stops decreasing before the end), so if you have good skills maybe you can continue. Each fountain isn't that far of each other either once you know the game a little bit better.

If I were you I think I'd try to continue. Good luck whatever you'll choose to do (continue or restart) !
Don't give up with it, this game is great ! Go for the plat' !

Just got this frickin glitch. fully expected to just continue, but that stopped when a lever didnt render. at all. this'll be my third restart. haven't beat it yet, and still have two more runthroughs... this is proving to be a reeeally annoying platty.

I got this glitch, but didn't realize it was a glitch right away. At first I thought I had died so many times that the prince got a new costume, lol. (I remember playing a BMX game on ps1 many years ago where this happened. After too many fails, I had to play as a grandmother.) Luckily this happened rather early in the game and I had saved not long before.
