I just want some opinions on whether I should rent or buy the new prince of persia I haven't decided myself cause this game pisses me off im mad they switched back to the original prince I actually enjoyed the last prince of persia game and was looking forward to finishing or continuing the story since the game ended on a cliff hanger and im also hesitant to rent for the possibility of DLC trophies

Well from reading up in the game's 'Platinum difficulty' thread, most people say that it can be completed in a day or two.
So I would rent it as personally I feel that it isn't worth paying full price for a short title like that. That said, if you aren't going to be playing it for hours every day then you may get a few more days out of it.

I going to highly reccomend renting. Like you I liked the reboot, but I wasn't as annoyed since I liked the old prince. Puzzles are fairly enjoyable but the game is very short and the fighting wasn't that enjoyable for me. If you're going for trophies it can easily be done in a playthrough and in a day.
Edit: Also this game's got some really lazy trophy image work. I think it looks ugly and every trophy has the same image.

Rent for sure. You can get the plat in 6-7 hrs without even trying. Even less if you just fly through and skip all the cutsceens. Its games like this that make me glad I have gamefly instead of wasting $60 on a quick game that has no replay.
