got the platinum over the weekend & just wanted to give a big thank you to technole for the videos helping me to get some of the more obscure trophies (party of three especially) and also many thanks to all the folks I played with & got hugs from! this game really was a blast to play!

How do I get the pit boss trophy?

I know it's chapter 9, but for some reason it drops me in after the pit.

Is the trophy really missable?

Just jump in to the deadly pit You should obtain it for doing that.

So I just load up chapter 9 and jumps over the edge?

When You get to the spot where you're are surrounded by those deadly things and glados talks about killing you, set a couple of portals to get away from that spot. Now glados should say something like "No, get back here! Jump into the pit". Then jump back into the deadly pit and the trophy should be yours it's in the beginning of chapter 9.
