Question about Zen Garden

I just got the Zen garden and my 2 plants have grown a little. Is the point of the garden to just sell the plants once they grow, or do they give you something else?

After buying the plants, the fert, etc, does this actually net you any money?

selling them gets you decent money, while keeping them just gets you a constant flow of coins

It definitely nets you money, but the flow of coins is pretty slow and requires leaving your PS3 on and having your snail collect coins.

I found it to be more effective to just raise them to full size then sell them. Also, fully grown mushrooms get you 10k which is a better investment than flowers. Not sure about the water garden since I never purchased it.

The garden is by far the easiest way to get lots of cash.

same for me. it was easier to just buy/collect plants, then raise them to full size and sell. much faster than most other methods i saw. but the video that i have posted worked well in the mean time. plus i picked up a few plants along the way, so it all worked out.

I don't even buy them. A good round of survivor, even the early ones can net you at least 4 free plants. That's much less costly and at least you get to do something!

I round up a bunch of plants & grew them up & sold them for money to grow my tree of wisdom, as it takes a fair amount of $$$ tohit 100ft.

Grow the plants until they give you 2 blue diamonds.... when you sell them crazy dave will give you 8,000 for full grown plants.

yea, i stuck with the normal day-time plants, as i wasn't so sure the $2000 difference was really worth purchasing the extra gardens and stuff. but that was just me.
