Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Has anybody heard of this game? It's a survival horror and is being considered as one of the scariest games of all time (yes, worse than Silent Hill.)

You have to avoid the darkness and the monsters that chase you in order to keep your sanity up. If it gets too low, then you start hallucinating and hear strange noises, see faces and the walls around you start shaking.

This game is definitely not for those who don't like scary games. I don't even have it but watched a friend of mine play and my nerves were shot to pieces just watching.

I don't have the balls to play it. Heck I had nightmares just from playing the Fatal Frame series a few years back.

Just read about it in GameInformer and I heard it's serious stuff. That laugh/scream from 1:06-1:08 was pretty hilarious though.

I played the demo and the full version for a while and it really is scary. It really feels like survival horror. And it runs very well even on crappy PCs, so everyone at least try the demo.

I played the demo. Do NOT set SSAO samples up too high. My PC is pretty good, but it completely crippled the frame rate - like 3 or 4 FPS.

Anyway, the demo was pretty good, but I didn't find it too scary

- I did find it annoying when Daniel kept falling about, though.

However, it was pretty good, and I'd be interested in the full game - I'm not entirely convinced I want it to get too scary though.

The insanity meter is much more lenient in the full game. The developers just wanted to give a taste of it in the demo. Anyways, the full game is scarier (obviously). The demo is just a small part from the beginning.

It is GODLIKE. That's what I'm playin right now. Wow I never thought you played PC games. I supposed you played Penumbra right??

My PC can't handle that game (yes I'm aware that my PC is and outdated piece of crap) but I watched my friend playing it. I was the one who was laughing all the time when he got scared lol

what's ironic is that steam just listed this game on the ' sale of the day' section for 6.80$

might give it a go
