Delayed -- March 29 Missing Daytona 500 Opening

Activision and developer Eutechnyx are starting from the ground up with NASCAR The Game 2011, but the pair's first foray into the sport has been taken back to the garage.

Without citing any particular reason, the game's release date has been pushed back to March 29. It's not a big delay by any means, but it does mean that the title will miss the season-opening Daytona 500 and won't appear until just before the sixth race of the season – Martinsville on April 3. Hopefully by then Jimmie Johnson hasn't already won his sixth championship in a row and there's still a reason to be interested in the season.

Although it sucks that the game won't be available for the very beginning of the season, when EA had the exclusive license, its NASCAR titles never came out in February anyway.

Actually EA's games came out early, like way too early, NASCAR 2008 came out in '07, '07 came out in '06, and so on and so on. But if the drivers changed cars before the season started, then they weren't right in the game, which in my opinion doesn't make the game actually the year it claims to be.

But anyways, I am really looking forward to this game.

EDIT: NASCAR 2008 was released on July 23, 2007 and a perfect example of the drivers being incorrect is they do not have Dale Jr. in the 88 car.

Well that's a ruddy shame...

I wouldn't be surprised if they delay it a second time, but the game wasn't getting any coverage, so it may just be a delay for publicity purposes...

Whatever the reason, it looks good so far and has got me interested, so make sure it's good EA.

We'll see if next time they will have a delayed again. I will not be surprised anymore. I am just expecting to watch a great game and have a sportsmanship.

It's not being released in the UK? Even though Eutechnix have a studio in my city and they are working on this game

I did work experience with them.

Finally! A NASCAR game for the PS3. I was upset when there wasn't one for 2010. I have both NASCAR 08 and NASCAR 09, and they're really fun games. I enjoyed these games, and now it's time to see if I can get the platinum trophy in a NASCAR game.
