Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 - Trophy Guide and Roadmap!

- Estimated Difficulty: 6/10.

- Approximate Time: 50 hours.

- Offline: 48 Trophies.

- Online: 2 Trophies.

- Glitched Trophies: None.

- Missable Trophies: None.

- Difficulty Affects Trophies: No.

Breakdown: 42(B) 4(S) 3(G) 1(P)

Yo, my name is admeister and this is my second guide for a Naruto game - you can find the first one on Xbox360Achievements.org - Every Point Counts in the Naruto: Broken Bond forums. Now, to business!

:D Getting the Platinum: :D

Step 1. Complete the Ultimate Adventure mode, up to the end of the Last Chapter

Pretty simple. Be careful to collect every scroll and memory that appears in the latest area after finishing a chapter. This step includes getting an S-rank on all of the boss fights from 'The Bell-Stealing Drill' onwards.

Step 2. Complete every mission

This will take a while, but most of them are very straight forward. While doing these, the Cursed Dolls mission should be completed, which will also knock out the last piece of the story, Fragment for a silver trophy.

Step 3. Clean up

With the story and missions out of the way, we only have the friendship events, online trophies and collection items to sort out. If you haven't seen all of the secret factors yet, then this is a good time to replay the story boss fights.

Step 4. GET ALL THE TITLES!

This is where things get crazy! The top people on the online leaderboards have hundreds of thousands of BP, hundreds of wins, but you know what they don't have? All the titles. Now, I have a list of what all the titles are and how to get them, but just looking at the requirements - I'd estimate that they'd take about 20 hours to get by themselves! Needless to say, this step (and the Platinum itself) is only for the truly dedicated.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/19.jpgBell-Stealing Experthttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've acquired S Rank in 'The Bell-Stealing Drill'.

Keep your health up as much as you can, getting an S-rank generally requires you to have at least 65% of your health remaining at the end of the fight. You should aim to acquire at least half of the total secret factor stars for each battle, as this will help. If you take too much damange, you can always retry the battle to help yourself learn the opponent's attack pattern. In the second part, make sure to use Sakura quickly when Kakashi is out of reach.

You've retrieved all cursed dolls.

This is one of the longest request missions in the game. Once you take on the very first mission in the game (Advice Session), you'll find out about the cursed dolls, replicas of many of the ninjas in the Naruto world. There's 37 of them in all, but hunting them down is made simple by accessing the main menu in Ultimate Adventure and selecting 'Confirm Event' and then 'Wanted List'. This list will tell you exactly where to find every cursed doll that is currently available. After you defeat these, new dolls will be added to the list when Naruto receives a letter from a messenger bird. Continue hunting down and defeating all the dolls until the request mission wraps up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/30.jpgOink!!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've retrieved all Tonton's pearls.

Not long after you start the game, Izumo and Kotetsu (you can find them in the first area after the gate in the Leaf Village) will have a request mission for you. Ton Ton's pearls have been stolen and are now scattered all around the world. You need to find 30 of them and return them to the pair of ninjas, who will reward you over time as you make progress, until you get them all. The pearls can be slightly tricky to spot as you explore the game's many areas. They have the same symbol as regular items that you pick up in the world, but instead of having to do anything, the symbol will already be on the ground (they are never in trees). Investigate it, and the pearl is yours. The pearls are in every area of the game, which means that you won't be able to collect them all until you've completed the Final Chapter and unlocked the final area (Mount Myoboku).

You can revisit Mount Myoboku by talking to the frog in the doorway of the Hokage's mansion. You'll also need to revisit the Rain Village to get some pearls, which you can do by talking to the ninja standing on Tenchi Bridge. The areas are just grids really, simply mark off each one that you check.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgTrial accomplished!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've cleared the 10 trials.

After completing the cursed dolls mission and earning the 'Cursed Dolls Exterminated' trophy, an old man will now be standing where the strange man was before. Talk to him, and you'll get into a battle. After you win, you'll be transported to the Hokage's Room and the mission will be explained. You can now find the old man on the roof of the Hokage's Mansion, where he will challenge you to 10 difficult battles. Fortunately, you don't have to do these all in a row, as he takes a break between battles. Make use of this opportunity to use healing items or visit Ichiraku Ramen. After beating them all, the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgRequest Masterhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've cleared all requests.

As the trophy says, you must complete every request mission in the game. This includes the Ninja Tool requests, Cursed Dolls request, 10 Trials request, Repay Debt requests, Spectacle Match requests and Ton Ton's pearls request. Look out for the mission request symbol over characters heads as you play through the game, as there are quite a few to complete. After you finish the Last Chapter, an Info Merchant will appear in both the Sand and Leaf Villages. He'll tell you where to go to find any request missions that are available.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgNinja of Lettershttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've cleared all correspondence events.

See 'All Friends Here'. The letters that are sent to Naruto by his friends are the focus of this trophy, basically, all you have to do is reply to every letter than is sent to you (three per character in the friendship list). Once you've done that (and received their replies), the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgAll Friends Here!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've seen friendship events for everyone.

This one can take a while. The Check Members option on the main menu in Ultimate Adventure is your friend here, with the friendship levels being the key. See those hearts next to everyone's names? We need to make them all light up. To do so, there are two methods. Firstly, upon completing some of the request missions in the game, you will notice that a character's heart guage will fill up by one heart. This will only happen once for them, and this will only happen with some of the characters. The second way is the manual way. This involves giving a particular character an item as a gift, which will increase their heart guage by one each time. Give male characters a Ninjutsu Reference Book (buy from the Item Shop Hagakure in the Leaf Village), and female characters the bunch of flowers from the Yamanaka Flower Shop. To give them a gift, simply talk to them and the option will appear.

When a character has at least one heart lit up, they will start sending letters to Naruto, which will end up being a set of three. Sending the correct response to their letter will make another of their hearts light up, if you get them all correct then they will have four hearts lit up. Then you could just finish them off with a gift. Once a character's heart guage is full, they're done. To see the friendship events that this trophy requires, you'll often need to fill multiple character's heart guage completely as the friendship events often happen in groups. Examples are Sakura and Hinata, as well as Sakura, Ten Ten and Ino. For these to appear, all of the involved characters must have full heart guages. One exception to this rule is Tsunade. Basically, just fill every character's heart guage completely and then let some time pass - go back and forth between areas in the village...etc, soon enough you'll see characters standing around with a heart shaped icon over their heads. Talking to them starts the friendship event, see them all to unlock the trophy.

You've picked up 500 items.

Very easy, just make sure to pick up every item you see as you explore the world. Take your time. You'll be needing plenty of materials for the 'I Love Ninja Tools' trophy anyway, and it takes a surprisingly short time to gather 500. You can easily do it before you finish the Last Chapter.

Saved up 999999 Ryo.

999,999 Ryo is an intimidating amount, so you'll have to do everything you can to raise money. Selling valuable items such as Gold Necklaces, Gold Bracelets, Jewels, Kobans, Marbles and such will net you a fair bit of money. Playing through the story, you'll collect a pretty large amount from battles and request missions as it is. Whether you try to save up for the full 999,999 Ryo before or after going and spending money on Ninja Tools or Collection items for the 'I Love Ninja Tools' and 'General Store Booming' trophies is up to you. I recommend saving up as it's a bit of chore trying to get 999,999 Ryo again once you've already spent that much. After finishing the Last Chapter, the best place to get money is by replaying battles in Hokage's Room. Finishing up left over missions is also a good idea, of course. If you've managed to unlock and complete Fragment, then replaying the battle between Sasuke and Killer Bee (non-awakening), seems to be the best money maker as you get 20,000 Ryp and two Gold Bracelets (which sell for a lot) for fulfiling the bonus condition, which is easy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/38.jpgPoint Tycoonhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've saved up 999999 Storm Points.

Playing through the Ultimate Adventure mode will earn you somewhere around half of this target if you pull off a decent number of S-rank battles. Request missions will net you a fair bit extra, as can the Online mode. The Free Battle mode allows you to gather as many points as you like, and if you have a second controller, getting a perfect victory against yourself will net you roughly 8000 SP per battle. That can make things go quickly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgI Love Ninja Tools!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've acquired all battle items.

This trophy involves three different request missions, 'Collect Ninja Tools: 1, 2 and 3'. It's simple enough to start, 'Collect Ninja Tools: 1' is available early on from a ninja standing to the right of the Item Store Hagakure in the Leaf Village. He wants you to collect 10 ninja tools, which you'll need to make by accessing the Order List in the Item Store and providing materials for each item. Not all of them will be available at first, but as you make them, more will star to appear over time. Most of them require one of a kind items which can only be collected as rewards for the various request missions in the game. The very last item you'll need, Viper Fang, is only available after completing the Fragment part of the story (see 'Clear Fragment'). You can get it by replaying the battle between Sasuke and Killer Bee (awakening form) and fulfiling the bonus condition.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgGeneral Store Booming!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've collected all collection items.

Visit the General Store Bandai in the Leaf Village and just keep buying everything until it's all sold out. You'll need to have finished the Last Chapter in order for everything to be available.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/41.jpgThe First Edithttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Edited a Ninja Info Card.

Very easy. Once you buy your first set of Ninja Info cards from the Card Shop Nin-Nin in the Leaf Village (to find his shop check the select button map in Ultimate Adventure mode), simply go into the main menu and select the Ninja Info Cards option. Select one of the cards to use with the X button, and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/45.jpgMessage Ninja shocked!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've acquired all messenger birds.

To start working on this trophy, you'll need to begin the 'Messenger Bird Hunt' request mission (it's mission number 14). You get this mission from the message ninja who can be found at the very end of the left branch of the village (look at the map). Once you accept the mission, you'll now be able to capture birds. After capturing Hatojiro in the training field, birds that can be caught will appear in just about every area of the world. There are a total of 10 of them (including Hatojiro). They are easily identified by the '...' symbol that appears over them, plus the music in the area will change. The best strategy for catching them is to run up as close to the bird as you dare without it flying away (you'll get a good feel for this quickly). Once you've taken up a close position, make very small moves, stopping if a '?' appears over its head. When the '?' goes away, the bird should turn away from you a little, keep this process up until the bird has turned away from you enough that it can't see you, then quickly run at it. If you were successful, a quicktime event will trigger where you need to press the circle button when the cursor is over the middle of the gauge. I've found that pressing the circle button just a little before the cursor is over the gauge seems to stop it at the right place, but you can try and get the timing down for yourself. If you mess up, the bird will fly away. That's ok though, if you exit the area and then come back, the bird will have returned. You can have as many goes as it takes to finally catch it. I've found that a couple of areas have more than one bird appear in them, so it's good to head back to an area even after you've caught a bird there. Birds only appear in large areas where you can run around freely, such as the Training Field.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/46.jpgReview Complete!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've seen all memories.

These are the in same places as the scrolls for the 'Story Assembler' trophy, they look like little crystals that will appear alongside the story scrolls. There are less of these than there of the scrolls though, so it's an easy task. Once you've collected them all, make sure to visit the ninja in the Hokage's Room to watch the memories. Once you watched them all, the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgStory Assemblerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Collected 100% of the stories.

If you visit the ninja inside the Hokage's Room, you'll see in his menu that you can select a Story View list. In this list you can see the percentage of story scrolls that you've collected in the top right part of the screen. These scrolls are hidden all over the world, wherever battles have taken place during the story. Revisit each of these places and collect every scroll you see to get this trophy. I got stuck after beating the Fragment at 92% completion, checking the Forest of Quiet movement again paid off. The trophy won't unlock until you return and access the story view list with the ninja in the Hokage's Room.

Your total play time is over 30 hours.

Easiest trophy in the game really, just keep on playing until your play time reaches 30 hours.

You've won 1 time in online Ranked Match battles.

Easy enough, just win one Ranked Match in the Online mode. If your match is lagging a lot, try to be careful with your guarding as your opponent's moves can seem to come out of nowhere at times.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/50.jpgDextrous Ninjahttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You've won 10 times in online Ranked Match battles.

Perseverence is the key, even if you're not that good at the game, you should be able to get this one. Just keep playing Ranked Matches in the Online mode until you finally win 10. Only playing against players at the same rank as you or lower helps.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/10.jpgClear Fragmenthttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

You've cleared Fragment.

After returning all of the dolls as part of the 'Cursed Dolls Exterminated' trophy, Fragment, the last part of the main story will automatically start. Win in the two fights that follow, and this trophy is yours.

You can now use all characters.

The vast majority of the characters are unlocked simply by playing through Ultimate Adventure mode. There are three more characters - see 'Assassin from Tekken 6' for how to unlock Lars. Minato is unlocked by earning 580,000 SP. The last "character" you need to get in order to unlock the trophy is Hokage Naruto. To get him you need to have completed the Final Chapter in Ultimate Adventure mode, then talk to the frog in front of the stairs to the Hokage's Room to go to Mount Myoboku. At the next screen go up, talk to the two frogs, and investigate the statue next to them.

You've seen all secret factors.

Secret factors are little flashbacks that play at the end of the game's boss fights if you manage to fill the Star Guage at the top of the screen by performing the button combos that pop up on screen (for example - Left, Triangle, Triangle). You can get up to 5 stars from each button combo. You can check whether you've seen the secret factor for a particular boss fight by buying its Boss Battle Scene from the General Store Bandai in the Leaf Village. Open up the Collection section of the Ultimate Adventure mode's main menu and select 'Boss Battle Scenes'. Looking through the scenes, you can see that the last part of each one has a 'Secret Factor' heading over it ('Secret Factor 1', etc). If the gold star beneath this heading is lit up, then you have seen the secret factor for that battle. If not, then you'll need to replay that boss fight to get it.

You can replay any particular boss fight by visiting the Hokage's Room and selecting 'Challenge Main Battle Again'. Boss fights have red titles, unlike regular fights which have blue ones. One trick to help you with getting the combos right (and putting them in quickly) is writing them down as you go through the boss battle. Pause after each combo and write down what it was so that you'll know exactly what to do next time. Worked well for me!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/43.jpgAlso Known As...http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

You've cleared all events.

See 'Request master'. Once you have the Request Master trophy, you're almost done. The only thing left is the Friendship Events - see 'All Friends Here'. As soon as you finish seeing your last friendship event, the trophy will unlock and Naruto will make a speech.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/408/ock.jpgCard Collectorhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

You've acquired all Ninja Info Cards.

See 'The First Edit'. Just keep buying cards from the shop until all five packs are sold out. The packs will become available as you progress through the story, you'll need to complete the Final Chapter to gain access to them all. Now that you've done that, there are two things to do. The first part: Complete all the request missions in the game, as in the 'Request Master' trophy. You will receive some Ninja Info Cards as rewards. The second part: Complete the 'Points Tycoon' trophy, which will net you the remaining Ninja Cards.

A huge thanks to user legrooos for providing a whole lot of title info! Some of the names of the titles may be a little off. The rest of the titles are exactly like 087, you'll earn them automatically as you collect SP while playing. A neat trick to make the 'Fight 30 battles as' titles go fast is that if you go into free battle mode and start a game with a second player who has the same character as you have (for example: Tobi vs Tobi) it will count twice. So instead of playing as him 30 times you just need to play as him 15 times.

Thanks to user Elk Arkane for that tip!

You've acquired all trophies.

This is the big one, which will unlock if you can manage to meet the requirements of every other trophy! Good luck!

great guide though technically it should be 3 online trophies (due to the title one) and might be a correction on title 5 i got it when i finished the round with a team attack (the attack that uses all 3 characters) so maybe its possible to get it both ways

You mention that there are 157 titles, but I only see 87 posted. I'm guessing that you ran out of room. I suggest posting a separate thread dedicated to just the titles and then linking to that thread in your guide. This way you'll have more room and things will look cleaner. Anyhow, thanks for the guide.

Yes, you can get SP in versus and about the tittles, every one above 87 is for getting SP, the last one involving SP is when you get 999,999 SP, and for online tittles, i know of one and that is when you have to fight with Minato/The Fourth Hokage, 30 times online! Hope I was some help! Plus, if you are only gonna play this game because of the trophies, its not worth the money invested, I say this because this is the game with the longest story and largest roster out of all the Naruto games and has been highly anticipated by many naruto fans!

The kakuzu title is called human wallet. Nice guide admeister. Have you already done the minato one in player match?

Thanks for the info! It turns out that you can just do Minato's 30 battles (or, if you use the trick, 15) in Free Battle after all, I ended up testing it out last night. You can do the battles in Player Matches online if you like though, those matches count too.

Yeah, I think I may have exaggerated the difficulty level of this Platinum, it's not so much hard - just very time consuming. I'll be reducing it to a 6/10.

To everyone asking why I only list 87 titles, please read the post below them! There's a good reason for it.

Edit: The guide has been updated with a new difficulty rating and improved titles list.

damn, you beat me to it, i just did like 20 battles online and the title popped. Damn french translation! Grr, had to play like 20 deidara spammers online who disconnect when losing. Oh well.

Anyway, can you help me find konohamaru the second time in the hide and seek place? I can't find out where the little guy is hiding lol, i found sai and shino though.

I still think its a 7-8 out of 10 though. 50 online wins without boosting is hard now with people who enjoying disconnecting, plus lag, plus cheap tactics. Well, was harder for me since i have nat 3 lol.

You may have a point there, the online titles are getting harder.

I had a bit of trouble with Konohamaru the second time as well, you can find him in the area of the village with the Item Shop, look hard and you'll see him hidden to the far right of the screen.
